SC EP:266 Sit down with Wes and Woody

Tonight Ed Brown joins the show to talk to myself and Woody about the International Bigfoot Conference.

I will also be speaking to Delvis who is from Texas. Delvis writes, “Hey there, Wes! Big fan of the show, I’m a new fan and have been listening for 2 months straight, everyday. I have an encounter of sorts. It happened back in the summer of 1995. I was 15 years old at the time, I’m 36 now and remember it like it was yesterday.

Well, this one night I had a buddy of mine come over, we wanted to rent some video games and movies so I asked my mom if I could borrow the car and head out. She said no and I had a fit, blew a gasket teenage style. I stormed out of the house and walked down the street to cool down. I didn’t even bother telling my friend either, I just left. I walked down to the end of the street to where the street lamps didn’t shine. I took a seat right at the middle of the street and put my head down. At that time my old neighborhood was right next to a corn field, and the rest of the lots were filled with overgrown dry, tall grass and an abundance of mesquite trees. We also had an old meat market that had closed down some years before and was now just an empty vandalized building. The meat market was located on the opposite side of the block and therefore my street was on the backside of the property.
So, I parked myself down and just breathed. I had gone back there into the dark because that’s where my friends and I used to frequent, smoke weed and cigarettes. So I knew the property. Anyway, as I sat there I remember looking up at the sky and noticed how bright the moon was, how the breeze was pushing the trees. Suddenly I heard a rustling sound behind me. I turned back and there was a big opossum scurrying away from me. I sighed in relief and turned back around. I rested my head back down and that’s when I heard it, and extremely loud, deep roar. I picked my head up and just froze. I didn’t even move, all I did was scan the dark empty lot in front of me. All I saw was darkness. I also remember feeling the bass of the roar, I could feel it in my chest. If I could compare it to anything, it sounded like a lion in a movie or something. I told myself to get up and I just couldn’t. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, I told myself to run and run I did. I don’t think I’ve ever run faster than that. I got home and my mom, sister and friend were outside on the front porch waiting on me. They asked me what was wrong, I guess I looked at little scared and I told them that I heard something. I remember that feeling of a cold sweat and my gut in knots. At that time I believed it to be the devil, maybe coming after me for being such a little asshole with my mom. Now I don’t know, I really now think it was a sasquatch. We DON’T have big game in this part of Texas like bears or something, we have boar, deer, bobcats, ocelots and of course, opossum but nothing that could have made a sound like that.

And I say it was a sasquatch because years later right after college I found myself working at a home health care office. I met a dude there that later became a friend and I shared my bigfoot story with him. Just so happened that he had one too but his was a creepier since he actually saw the damn thing. He said it happened in 2009, he and a friend were crossing the Mexican border into the states. That one friend was sneaking in his cousin to help him find a job or some shit. These guys decided to cross a little after midnight. While they waited in tall dry grass to finally swim over, (by the way, that tall dry grass is every fucking where down here) he said they heard a loud splash hit the water. When they looked in the direction of the splash he said all they saw a a dense white fog rolling down the water. Said it looked like a living thing. He also mentioned that when that fog rolled up on them, they started to feel sleepy. The group began to move up towards the water and use the fog as cover and that’s when they heard someone swimming in the river. He said he thought it might be illegals or cartel members up to no good. He said as they laid there, this dark heavy gorilla-man (his words not mine) swam right in front of them. Doing the breast stroke, the water hit the creature right at the chest. That’s important because his friend later told him that in that part of the river it was about 6-7 feet deep. The creature looked directly at them and didn’t stop. My buddy made it over just fine after that but never returned to the sight.

I honestly think that the sasquatch visiting this part of Texas uses our canals and ditches as routes to come in and out of the region. The canals are big and deep, and run for miles and miles. I’ve been hunting by some of those places and one could easily disappear out there.

Thanks for giving your audience a platform to share our encounters. I’ve shared my story with people before but was always brushed off. Keep up the great work, peace!”

being 5th generation Texan. I swear this state has so many creepy stories and due its size one can drive for hours and see very little traffic and the land sustains so much wild game

    Hello,

When it comes to the paranormal it isn’t fun.

Anyway. I’m not an expert when it comes to Sasquatch or the paranormal; even though I’ve had many encounters with the paranormal. It is my feeling Sasquatch is NOT paranormal but they can see things we can’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if a “spirit” or a “Demonic” entity could lead one of these things to you. Also, based upon a Sasquatch’s behavior if they can see a Demonic entity they would follow it and watch it. My son and I had a very paranormal experience at a Wisconsin state park. It was my feeling at the time to stay in the car. Partly because we were to afraid to go to the tent, but I had felt the Spirit we encountered could have brought a Sasquatch or another animal in to attack us. If this is true or not unsure, but it was my feeling. I’ve read stories of places haunted also have Sasquatch encounters. Maybe it’s because Sasquatch can see more than we can so they’re drawn to those places.

About those orbs. Stay away from them.

Bob, I agree with everything you said. If people can be influenced by demons and be possessed by demonic forces, it’s only common sense that an animal can be influenced, or even possessed for that matter.

Back-to-back episodes! Thanks Wes! Also, on putting together a new show that covers other topics, I hope you’re as successful with the new show. All I have to say is a repeat of one of your warnings: “Be careful what you wish for.” Some of the areas you are going to delve in to are pretty dark and purely evil. Tread carefully my friend. I know of which I speak.

Is Delvis from the RGV? I’m originally from McAllen and the area he describes sounds my home town. From the drainage ditches to the water plant, it sounds like the upper RGV.

That is F’n hilarious that ed had to rename his show. Wes, woody…..you don’t want none’a this at a poker table. Lol..jk…..
Thanks guys it’s nice to hear woody on the show. It would be nice if you always had him with you. At least us members and loyal listeners would know that we wouldn’t have to hear how woody was within 15 feet of 2 of them over and over and over every episode! !!

One of the best podcasts out there , it would not surprise me if some TV producer pick up the popularity of sasquash chronicles and it ends up on the discovery channel …. excellent show wes , back to back podcasts you spoil us ??

  7. Stan B

I think finding Bigfoot has killed any producers thoughts of more Sasquatch on tv. Wes are you ever going to put up an RSS feed for all the shows as it would make it so much easier. Bloody hell how many pats on the back are you going to give each other Jesus tonight enough? C’mon men toughen up lol!

I really wish this portal nonsense would end it’s stupid talk. This is one of the reasons we’re laughed at. Johnson is an idiot, all this supernatural stuff regarding Sasquatch needs to end. Let’s get back to proper Sasquatch research because we’re being torn to pieces. Regarding Sara Browns property Shannon is adamant it was car lights and nothing more. I’m not having ago but I’d hate to think we’re going to end up like Johnson the thought would kill me!

Well, maybe the squatches carry around “Ron Popeils” pocket portal!! Thats right folks, instead of searching the woods for those hefty, clumsy portals that you can never seem to find you can now buy the pocket portal! Just remove the small portal from your pocket, throw it in the air and viola! A portal for you to disappear into anytime, anywhere!
Coming soon the portal potty. Out camping and cant find a secluded spot to do your business? The portal potty is the answer for you!!

I really miss Woddy’s voice. Woddy was the one who would say what Wes was thinking but wouldn’t say. Both of them make a great team. Too bad Woody isn’t a regular on SC anymore. Nice to have you back Woody even if it’s just for one episode.

Made for a really great weekend Wes and Woody! Great show, and I almost felt sorry for Ed Brown – but I’m sure he’s plotting as we speak for the “next game”. lol The new sound is nice. Sounded good this weekend. Thank you Wes for the attention you give to the show – that is what makes it so great.

I still can’t comprehent why people still use facebook. Knowing what we know. Facebook is a CIA tool. Zuckerburg is Rockefellars grandson for crying out loud!! Quit facebook ! If you want to participate in social media , another option is “Seen.Life. Com Stop participating in our demise!

_wow_ Machismo to the Maximo! That was one male dominated presentation! Thanks Wes and Woody. Great to have the two back on air! Man, get you some rest Wes…

Wes, you should do a simple rating system like stars or thumbs up if we like the story and/or find it believable and thumbs down I’d we don’t.

It would allow for quick ratings without having make the same comments as everybody else and drowning the blog.

    Love the show as always.

Really like the show when Woody visits, he should visit more often. Ed Brown did the best Bob Gimlin interview ever and got so much info on the Patty film event .
    Great job everyone!

Fun show. I found Ed Brown’s experience of the flash in the night vision goggles very interesting indeed. I wonder if there is any follow up re the possible explanation. It reminded me o f radium, i.e that you can see it through closed eyes.
