SC EP:228 ATV rider has encounter

I am releasing Sundays show early. It will be up on iTunes shortly.

My guest will be Dave Groves. Dave shares with us an encounter he had with one of these creatures while riding his ATV, Dave says “I was riding my ATV and I kept getting hit with rocks. I stopped to see who was throwing rocks at me and as I looked up, this creature went from a crouched position to standing in a split second, we stopped and just stared at each other for what seemed like forever…….I was not sure what I was looking at…..”

I will be also giving a recap of EP:227 show “Government Cover Up Of Sasquatch”

You spoke of thickening up an area with logs/brush? Just relating that to tree breaks, I’m wondering where the tree breaks occur in relation to trails. As an arborists, I know that pruning techniques will change growth patterns with the way a tree grows. Not to get too technical, but the loss of an apical bud can cause a tree to become bushier and that can possibly provide more cover. If the tree were near a well used game trail, it’s growth in the years to come could provide an ambush spot in years to come. I don’t know, maybe I’m just over-thinking it since I have not verified it with what I’ve seen in the woods, I’m just trying to relate it to what you were saying in relation to areas that look to be intentionally thickened.

That is a very intriguing thought! You’re not over-thinking, (imo).

Based on our current knowledge of these creatures, it would be logical to assume sasquatch are capable of deliberate, strategic environmental manipulation for their survival. They are intelligent and aware of ALL species within the specific environment they evolved…similiar to North American Indigenous people. The Natives understood the basic ideas and concepts behind “the circle of life”. They were unaware of the finite details, such as plant regulators or phytohormones, yet they understood the “big picture”.

Theoretically, sasquatch, having evolved alongside human primates, learned the patterns of plant growth through trial and error, such as that of pre-historic man. Again, I’m not sugesting they understand plant physiology and their five major hormones, but it’s possible they do understand the removal of a particular bud, branch, root, etc. produce desired results…whether it’s to promote growth or destroy the plant. Now, if one were to prove this theory, then it would also suggest the possibility of sasquatchs’ ability to understand the most basic, very simple, concepts of fungal and even bacterial reproduction, as it applies to their survival. I find this fascinating and believe the research for this subject needs to be addressed…great thinking Terry!

Wes, to quote a great man “I don’t have a Sasquatch in my garage that I am studying” But any Native American will tell you tree breaks are Used to mark locations for different purposes. One example is boundaries. Marking boundaries is a behavior well established in apes. Chimps will even patrol their territory and have been witnessed attacking and killing outsiders caught trespassing . They will also mount military style Incursions to take choice feeding spots by force. Amazing how much chimp behavior mirrors ower own.

One thing that stood out to me in this encounter was he noted how it threw rocks very accurately. It was hitting a moving ATV in the same place. It wasn’t trying to hit him. In my first encounter with a sasquatch I noticed the extreme accuracy of its rock throwing. It really impressed me that it didn’t have a single misplaced throw.

Lol knobby…..that squatch told me he was impressed with how accurate you were with a rock. He still has a knot on his forehead to this day!! When I think of Pennsylvania I think of all forest. Just like I do eastern ohio. There is a lot of woods down here in southwestern ohio as well but not that much. Awesome encounter. Thanks all.

Sorry I forgot to say that if that bf would have just held still he would never had known the bf was there so that makes me think there was definitely something close by that the bf didnt want him to see. When I go out if I hear noises I always look the opposite way first. Just a glance then I look back to where the noise came from. They are definitely masters are camouflage and misdirection.

Wes, thanks for the incredible shows! I hope your move is going well. I have recently moved and it was a huge pain. It incredible how much junk a person accumulates in 25 years. i used it as a excuse to get rid of a lot of stuff i hadn’t used in years. I still have to much stuff. Good luck with the move!

my thoughts on the BF and ATV rider….we have heard how they back out of a situation, maybe that is their way of removing themselves from a situation where they may be uncomfortable. Previous folks who have had encounters have slowly backed out of the situations as well…they may have the same instinct to move away slowly and carefully as to not evoke an attack. Over time we hear similar behaviors and i often wonder if people are encountering some of the same creatures?

  8. Jerry B

I’ve heard this guy tell his encounter story before, just can’t remember where. Guess I’ve been listening to a bunch of bigfoot stuff over the last few years

  9. Robert W

From the likes of his accent he sounded like a Pittsburgher! Lots of great BF sightings in Western PA- specifically in Racoon creek state park in Pittsburgh…At any rate- great show Wes- keep up the good work…

Another great guest and Episode . It adds so much depth and realism to hear people’s encounters from their own voice . It is so much easier to tell about an event than to write about it . You gain so much more insight hearing the account , being able to listen to the emotion in that persons voice . It is so much different than just reading a sighting report . SC is so awesome when we get a fellow like this to share his sighting . Wes treats people how he would want to be treated therefore are more willing to come on the show and talk about an encounter wich we keep learning can be a very life changing experience . A large part of the worlds population might not be able to handle the truth about Sasquatch very well .
So we get a Govt white lie coverup cause there is more and more possible litigation and accountability amongst another whole can of worms reasons to just keep covering it up .
So , if you ever are studying one in your garage then chances are ” they ” are going to snuff you out and silence you . They just might put you in a room and throw away the room . That makes it a hobby / research subject that’s more exciting than home brewing or bird watching .

  11. MONTE M

Actually maybe it isn’t that easy for a lot of people to tell about an encounter and would be easier to just write it out . I’ve always liked reading about encounters but love hearing the persons voice . It tells so much more of the encounter .

I’ve been to the Allegheny National Forest and also fished tha Allegheny River as well. It is a very squatchy area and has a lot more going on there than the reports listed. It’s a beautiful pristine area and has tons of wildlife. Definately a place you can consider boogerville. Great encounter and show.

In Robert Dodson’s video, the most Unbelievable part of the eye-shine video, i think it is called, I made it mad??? is the movement of the subject. It pops down, perfectly straight each time the light shines on it. Like a puppet on a pole. It is interesting to hear Mr. Groves describe the popping up as being like automatic police targets. Straight up and down. Very interesting.

    • David R

Roberta S That video of Dodson”s had the look to me that someone made the eyes with reflectors on a box. Bobbing up and down. I could be wrong. Only he knows the truth!

  14. Nancy A

Good well-balanced point of view from a level-headed guy. It is very interesting to me that this encounter changed this gentleman’s attitude so much towards hunting. I would bet that if he had another encounter in the same area he would have an even more positive experience. I do believe him in that since he was in a good frame of mind and just enjoying the day with his friend that his attitude also influenced the outcome. Great show Wes. Thank you

  15. Charlie B

After listening from the very beginning from episode 1 I’ve now cancelled my membership in my opinion the show has lost it what ever it is ? Every week just seems the same old same old bores me now better shows on you tube now sorry Wes the show has lost its favor but I wish u well for the future

  16. Annette L

Great show. I just wonder why the sasquatch was throwing rocks at the atv and in doing so bringing attention to itself? It could have just slipped away without him knowing.

  17. Denise C

i feel the Harley sound has a few similarities to a sasquatch growl and howl and if the sasquatch hears Harleys in the distance making their way to sasquatch territory wouldn’t sasquatch answer this unintentional “battle cry”?
