SC EP:206 The creature at the window

I will be speaking to Hunter who was face to face with a Sasquatch. Hunter says “My window was about 7 feet off of the ground and my bed is right next to the window. As I was in bed I had this feeling of something watching me. I looked over and we were inches from each other, separated by glass. The eyes had a reddish color to them and it’s expression never changed, it just had a blank stare.

The only thing moving was the creatures eyes looking me over. I thought a gorilla was loose but the more I stared at this creature in fear the more I realized, this was no gorilla. I can give you a very clear description of the face, eyes, ears, mouth and even what little of a neck it had. This thing was huge! I thought these things were in the Pacific Northwest but not Ohio!” I will also be speaking to another witness who had an encounter with a Devil Dog (Dogman). He says “I writing cause I heard your interview you did with Chris Jerchio. Now I would not call my self a huge believer of Sasquatch but I was more curious than anything so I gave it a listen. But when you started talking about the “devil dog” it struck a cord.”

Great Show Wes…. I have listened to each & every show, and I have to say they are ALL great!!!!! I really enjoyed your last show where the guy talked about all the biblical connections and the Nephlim…. Keep up the good work, and thanks for doing what you do. It makes those of us that have had encounters feel better. From the hills of WV, all the best!!!

  2. Joanne R

Great show Wes, cheers.Ive been hoping for a while you would do some dogman encounters.Great job, although don’t care to much about what people have to say on twitter 😉

well darn it, nothing but Hinter aka guest # 1, screams anything about telling the truth.. my BS detector was buzzing at high alert especially at the end of his call when he asked to come back, like have his own segment or some such crap. guest 2 sounded legit as do 99% of these podcasts but caller #1–no dice

      • Jacqueline O

C’mon guys, we don’t need to be blatantly disrespectful or rude to the guests. It’s okay to voice your opinion. Whether his story is true or not, can be argued either side, but you don’t have to insult Rednecks, which are not all hillbilly bumpkins lacking a G.E.D.

If we insult or frighten away potentially future members and listeners, we are only doing a disservice to ourselves. After all, the one thing we all have in common is to solve this mystery and make it aware to the general public. Don’t be mad . . .I’m not attacking or insulting you 🙂

        • Sunny N

Jacqueline you are 100% right. They just need to feel superior and important by stating, with absolutely no knowledge of the person, their negative and unfounded derogatory remarks. One may not believe a guest, Thier mom should have taught them if they don’t have anything good to say, then don’t say anything at all. People like that cause others with real encounters to say, ” nope, not a safe place to share.”

      • C F

I’ve read a few of the posts here in regards to mine and other peoples comments on guest #1’s reliability. What it comes down to is this. If this is a site for “stories” , then hey what the heck, put anyone on to spin a good tale ( like the insider a few weeks back). But if it is to be a place for people to come forward with possible real encounters, then I think guests and their encounters need to be screened at a very basic level before giving them the stage. I am a skeptic on this topic and guests like these are not helping. Critical thought is a must. I have a degree in anthropology and I work in law enforcement, so I know a fair bit in regards to the possible scientific side of things, as well as knowing how to read people’s behaviour, word usage/ choice, and determining motives. I am thinking of many things each time I listen in and for most, I find a number of holes. There are some however that seems to be genuine, those are the ones who keep me here. Again, I think guests need to be vetted a little tighter. Maybe the site can contract someone to assist in this regard. Just my thoughts.

      • Geoffrey P

What were you guys NOT entertained? Your remarks are extremely rude and the negative string of comments you started = completely uncalled for. You know guests read the comments. How about asking intelligent questions if you are so cynical – instead of wasting a breath on your judgements, which do nothing but hurt the confidence of other potential future guests who avoid coming on because of a-hole trolls like you who can’t keep your ridiculing, negative thoughts, to yourself. If you don’t believe someone’s story, why don’t you use your Brain next time and state your case with facts and substance to back up your position. That would go a lot further than simply calling names and ridiculing folks who should be able to come here to tell their stories and have no worry of the ridicule they would face outside of SC. So please keep your keyboard and negative thoughts about the guests away from these forums. We’ve got a great thing going here and there’s no place for your unsubstantive paltry! Banter with substance is one this, but your above comments are neither friendly nor welcoming in any way. And they are doing a disservice to us all.

        • Stan B

Sorry but you’re so wrong Hunter is just trying to insult peoples intelligence with crap like this. People like him need to be called out as he is trying to make idiots of us all. If someone says they think the story is BS so be it. But it certainly doesn’t need people like yourself telling us what to say or write, we do have minds of our own we are not children. To be honest you should button it!

          • Jacqueline O

How do you know Hunter is feeding us a bunch of bs? Seriously, I’m not being rude, just curious. If you explain your reasoning, then you will teach others how to sort through the fact vs. fiction. Actually, you will be helping the community. There are some on here that could use this help, unfortunately…

    • Jamie C

1st episode I’ve heard when you just know he is a fake! Why do they lie like this making it so obvious? Only thing he convinced me of was he was after a weekly guest spot ? ?

  4. Sparky

Have you ever given thought to hiring a schetch artist or CG artist recreate what your guests describe..I sure think it would be a Boon to catagorizing the different types. I still can’t picture them I need to see it drawn.

Nothing like coming home from an extra long night at work and having a new SC post. Love early posts because of my schedule. Thanks Wes. Love the Big Thicket Watch. I might have held off on The Gray Walker until the video was ready but lets roll on. Please bring The Outlaws into the fold. Where was all this OH talk when I grew up there..

  6. Curtis G

Wes does have a great radio voice, but it is also real and not robotic. Easy to listen to and a good questioner/
interviewer as well. This show definitely sets the standard for other shows in its genre. Keep up the great, great work!

    • Lou V

Matt the only reason I mentioned my former MMA career was because I hadn’t been on the property for 3 years and when I went back I was surprised to still hear the screams and was laughing at myself for still believing the crazy people screaming in the woods story. I’m 43 now and that career was no different than the telecom career I have now just pays the bills. Trust me I don’t think it’s a big deal I was just explaining why I had not been back and felt dumb later for not being more suspicious on the story. You should assume I’m the most modest guy you will ever meet in just an ordinary guy it is what it is.

      • Lou V

Oh and we went their to celebrate after I got the contract so it was the reason we went back too, it was simply part of the story. Mentioning that you think is part of an ego? Lol that’s funny. Anyway if anyone is in the NJ area and wants to do some research here please let me know? Thanks! That’s what I was really hoping to get out of being a member here!

        • Lou V

Matt I really don’t care how tough I was lol I got into MMA because we had a step father who beat us senseless for years and my old brother was trying to turn the violence into something positive. I mentioned it because it was part of the story. You don’t know me from telling a story you honestly sound like a fool. My career then and my career now honestly just pay the bills and that’s it. My brother who used to like me fighting yea he has issues abuse affects people in different ways. Anyway the fact that you think you know anyone from an interview is truly funny. Next time if Bigfoot comes up and I tell the story I will ever sure to say I went off to college instead lol

        • Lou V

For the record if I did come off in an offensive way I do apologize to the audience it’s just easier to tell what was actually going on then to lie. I’m the easiest person on earth to get a long deacades of violence don’t make you tough it makes you humble and puts things in perspective. Only thing I want to be remembered for is being a good father and that’s it.

        • Jacqueline O

          Matt P.

You do realize that both you and Lou agree on the same comment mentioned above? Lou said nothing about his MMA career in this thread. It was you that brought up the subject and criticized his encounter and character in a disrespectful manner. Why do you feel the need to be aggressive and attack other members? It seems it is you who are “easily provoked” and “uncouth”, continually impolite and lacking manners.

BTW, Lou, you do not need to apologize to the audience regarding your encounter, nor do you need to defend or explain your situation to anyone . . .I would like to think that most of us are here to back you up and support you 🙂

        • Lou V

Thanks Jacqueline, I almost didn’t respond to him because I do realize how funny it is that he thought I mentioned the MMA career because I wanted to tell a bunch of people who really don’t actually even know who I am that I was really tough in the 90’s LOL it was just a career like being a teacher or any other career to me that’s all it really was, sadly at the time thanks to my stepfather it’s what I was good at. So I guess if I was a scientist and mentioned that it would be because I wanted you all to think I was really smart? Strange that it bothered him. Thanks for the kind words though!

        • Lou V

Oh and Jacqueline the episode I was on that he was referring to was so long ago I think I was on like 102 or 103 lol it’s been bugging him for over 100 episodes, baffling

        • Jacqueline O

I’m sorry to hear about your abusive step-father. I am a divorced mom with two sons who are everything to me . . .my life and my world. They know they come first, while mom is diligently protecting. If any man hurt my boys, he would soon regret his actions. I try not to wish harm on anyone, but I find it difficult to not feel satisfaction knowing the SOB will receive retribution in some dark, lonely hole in a corrupt, dilapidated foreign prison.

        • Lou V

Thanks Jacqueline my mother was a nurse worked nights that’s when he went to work she didn’t know until after he was arrested for something else then we told her. He was a sick dude no doubt we had to tell our mother our broken bones and bruises was from me and my brothers fighting. It was a long time ago don’t phase me now when I was younger i was in a dark place but was repaired one thing it did good was make me a great dad to my daughters. I’m divorced too I know how you feel. Thanks again for your kind words hope to chat with you again!

        • Rodney P

Lou v you shouldn’t have to explain yourself about your in counter I remember your episode it was one of my favorites I’m a MMA fan and I found your episode very interesting even with MMA part of it. IT WAS PART OF YOUR IN COUNTER so why not mention it and you received a contract too is something to be proud of.Please don’t let people like Matt p worry you he more than likely don’t like any sports and sits behind a desk all day taking orders from people. I thank you and every single guest that come on sasquatchchronicles because without you all there’s no show. Thanks

    • Christopher K

EXACTLY! As soon as he said that, I started calling BS. The way he was telling his story just didn’t seem legit either. Not being told by a nervous person, but by someone retelling a made up story. I could be wrong, but I just don’t by it.

  7. Dovie D

I enjoyed the show as usual. It was difficult to hear the second guest at times though. The voice would change and volume of the voice changed. Maybe he was moving the phone away from his mouth or his connections were bad. I’m glad we don’t live around Dogman. ?

  8. EDWARD D

Sorry…but LOL……..’homo erectus”??? I don’t think this guy would know a ‘homo erectus’ if one punched him in the face….sorry but I have to agree with some of the other posters…guy #1 doesn’t seem as if he’s telling he truth.

    • Joyce N

He was a little uneducated on the topic. When he said gorillas are cleaned up and get haircuts-I stopped a minute and went… “…what?” No gorillas are pretty clean animals really-they groom each other, and I’m pretty sure they don’t require haircuts. :S

  9. NHSquatcher

Now that was really funny Wes. I just discovered a new show that also gets right into the persons encounter which is good on that account but I thought that the host sounded like a robot. Lo and behold someone writes to you and says the same thing.

  10. DonRay

Another Neanderthal looking creature…… im still trying to get a good friend of mine, who had a face to face w/ Neanderthal looking creature, to come on the show….He had a rough sighting,,still feeling affects today….. He got good look at it,,,,,,,,, Wes, do you think that there are 3 dogtype creatures??,,,,1, Wolf like on 2 legs, All canine,,,2, Wolf like w/Squatch body and raccoon hands, and rear dog legs,,, 3, All Squatch body, but with a snout,, type 3, Gugwe,,,,,,, Seems to be 3 types of these critters…….. And then there are the encounters where the animals morphs from canine body to primate body,,, With bone popping sound effects,,,,

  11. Derek R

Wes, I love this website. I’m a new member but have been listening at a limit capacity thru Podbay app for awhile. Started listening around episode 40ish. I’ve never had an encounter but I’m saving up for a Bob Garrett expedition. I listen while I drive my big rig to Houston from Waco every night. Anyways, keep up the good work. Thank you

    • Paul M

Derek R If you get a chance to go with BOB& MO & TIM & MR DROWN. please do it. Well worth your time. These guys are very good at what they do. Have fun.

      • Derek R

Thanks Paul, yeah ever since I heard they we’re doing expeditions I started saving for equipment. I’ve got my personnel protection device….my next purchase is some night vision. I live in San Antonio,TX. so I’m close by. I’m looking at near the end of summer. I hope they’re still doing the expedition’s then.

  12. pam

When I gave my encounter I was really , really reticent to talk about the way the thing “twitched”, looking back/forth/back etc.
I almost left that out. I was afraid to tell of it because no one else mentioned it; that it’d sound like a weird made up addition or something.
I have now heard others mention the weird agitated -ness these things sometimes exhibit- like Steve just did, and folks, you can’t know how reassuring it is !
Moral of the story? Always tell it ALL; if you are going to “out” your story just do it proud- it may help some researcher, some old gal in Oregon nod her head in vindication. Peace everybody.

  13. Seamus J. C

I have the same reaction to my wife as Hunter had to this sasquatch. I call it “the blank look”. I don’t know what’s going on in there, and it terrifies me….

  14. Seamus J. C

I don’t see gorillas getting any haircuts, but I think Hunter had a lot of detail here, which either makes him more credible, or an excellent pathological liar. Any story, by anyone who’s had a genuine encounter, will tell the story through the prism of his own personality, with all its foibles. That doesn’t necessarily mean they are lying. Knowing me, I would be too long-winded and use some five-dollar words, and people might think I was inventing a story out of some intellectual research I’d done on the topic. I saw him mentioning the MMA thing to juxtapose against the fact that he felt like crying. Let’s face it, it’s hard to get tearful when you’re a man, period, and if you know that many people you don’t even know are listening. A man sharing that detail has some cred with me. But I guess in the end we are taking all the guests’ word for it, since we ourselves weren’t there. I would like to hear two people who had had the same encounter come on and compare their versions of the story. The differences would be interesting. Anyway, thanks for sharing your encounter, Hunter!

    • Joyce N

Exactly, Seamus. He’s going by what he knows. He’s young and gorillas probably aren’t a major area of his focus. Sometimes ya just gotta cut them some slack. Doesn’t mean he lied about a thing. Some people just live to be critical of others. Dunno why-we’ve all been caught off guard and maybe stuck our foot in it. No biggie.
Thanks Hunter. Takes guts to come on and tell your encounter. You’re a brave young soul. Don’t listen to the haters here. They got nothing better to do. They don’t represent the majority here.

  15. Janice P

Thank you, guests and Wes. Steven, i’m confused if you think you saw this thing before it saw you or vice versa? Hunter, I appreciate the detail you gave on the ears, especially.

  16. Stan B

Sorry but regards caller 1 my BS meter has gone way over its limit. This was a terrible guest and I don’t care what anyone else thinks. People like this are killing the show, absolute garbage encounter pure BS!

  17. Tracy G

I haven’t listened to the show yet;I still have some issues that I’m trying to work through. But Stan B, it is comments like yours and several others that I have read here in this thread that made me not tell those closest to me about what I experienced! And holding it in damned near drove me to a mental institution,or suicide! If you don’t believe someone, then keep it to yourself! I’m truly grateful that I found this place here to open up and tell of my encounter before too many Jackasses like you showed up!

    • Jamie C

Tracy G shut up and go have a pee! It’s idiots killing it for true researchers he stinks of BS that is a fact! Only jackasses on here is this hunter idiot and yourself you total tool!

  18. craig d

man it saddens me to see so many closed minded ignorant people screeching because someone said something that don’t fit in the BFRO handbook that they cling to. Total retarded attitude and such a shame people stick to the unfounded scientific closed mindedness like a religion. Guys, open your minds let’s some questions filter through the dogma. But most of all quit with the heavy attacks, its cool to criticise but keep it light n fun.
