Sasquatch vocalizing

Stan Courtney has some audio recordings on his website. If you get a chance check it out here. Here are some samples:

Colorado Screamer

It was almost dark when I arrived at the site on Tuesday evening. I was concerned about driving down the rutted dirt road with my Toyota, not knowing for sure if I was at the correct location. So I drove back down the road and slept in my car at a small gravel pit. These sounds were picked up at 0330 a.m.

Illinois Screamer

A year and a half ago I recorded a series of very pitched screams here in Central Illinois.

This past week I have recorded what I think is similar screams. I also have a friend who lives about 1/2 mile from me. Just as it was getting dark he heard what he described as a very long loud high pitched scream. It was only about 75 yards from his back door and he did not investigate. He heard only one scream not a series. I emailed him my recording and he thinks it matches what I recorded.

Chatter

One of the biggest problems I faced for recording at my old place was hum from a treatment plant that was across the creek. Sometimes it was not heard but other times it was terrible. I recorded the following clip on the 13th of November of 2006.

Although this sound clip is not of very good quality it does show several things. This was at about 2 a.m. in a rural setting, so I know that no one was down in my woods. We also did not have any small dogs so I think the barking sounds are not of a dog. However the pattern of the barks does seem how my own dog barks, not the sounds but just the pattern.

I heard those voices also. He has another tape, heard it maybe 3 or 4 years ago of a conversation that sounded like children in the forest late at night. It is several minutes behind a neighbors house. Just can not make out any words what soever . Really kind of eerie.

The chatter track is interesting, but I am pretty sure the colorado and illinois tracks are coyotes. Don’t mean to sound disrespectful, just sound familiar. Thanks for the tracks.

That last one is hilarious! It reminded me of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (when he saves the burning pet store). Also, you can hear what sounds like a trumpet with a mute, a man saying “Stop ……….”, and a spoiled brat responding “NO!”.
