Sasquatch Central: Moose hunter shoots creature

Sasquatch Central writes “Individuals claiming to have seen Bigfoot describe it as a large, hairy, muscular, bipedal ape-like creature, roughly 6 ft –9 ft tall, covered in hair described as black, dark brown, or dark reddish.

Some descriptions include details such as large eyes, a pronounced brow ridge, and a large, low-set forehead. The top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to the sagittal crest of the male gorilla, with a strong, unpleasant smell. The enormous footprints for which the creature is named are claimed to be as large as 24 inches long and 8 inches wide.”

I really hope the day comes that people will no longer be ridiculed for their encounters with unknown creatures. This one was very fasinating and I wish Wes could get hm to come on and tell his story. He would be believed here.

This is a classic encounter, first reported by Dr Bindernagel in his book “The Discovery of the Sasquatch.” One of the only accounts we have of a hunter accidentally killing a sasquatch. The details regarding the shot and physical characteristics of the creature are absolutely convincing. It is also one of those encounters that took place before any information regarding sasquatch was available (1941), adding to the credibility of the witness. Again, a classic.

Excuse me, the first report may be the BFRO Report 9552, submitted 2003. However, I do recall hearing or reading a more complete interview, I can’t recall where.

As soon as she said Peter in Manitoba I knew of the incident that I first read 10 years ago. It mesmerized me then and still does. Such a shame of the situation at that time not having a moose license and may have shot a hermit. Peter could have brought the proof to the world. It always seems to be like an X file episode where you witness extraordinary things and nothing ever comes of it, except the story.
