Linda S. Godfrey lives in Wisconsin and is an author, artist, and researcher of strange subjects, eccentric people, and unknown creatures. Her previous books include Hunting the American Werewolf, Weird Wisconsin, and Strange Wisconsin.
Linda has passed away. Linda was a well liked and respected guest of our show who was best known for discovering the Beast of Bray Road. In 1993, a small town in Wisconsin spoke about the creature known as “The Beast of Bray Road.” Locals claim they saw a beast resembling a werewolf terrorizing the area for two years, with some saying it attacked their cars, animals and property.

oh no,such tragic news. So sorry, condolences to friends and family. She is literally IMO one of the most admired and credible researchers/ followers of cryptids and strange occurrences in the history of the subject. Always professional, always thorough, and always respectful of the subject and others. This is a great loss to humanity and all of us in the field. She will be greatly missed.

I’m Grateful for the substantial volume of Knowledge, credibility and critical thinking she brought to Cryptozoology, yet at the same time Saddened that she never got definitive answers to the questions she had and openly posed to the field.
I cannot pretend to know her beyond what is available for public consumption, but I can sincerely hope she led a full rich personal life and that the fondest memories of which will comfort those around her that did know her personally.
Rest in Peace
