Another Legend gone. I feel the same way I remember feeling when Doc Bindernagel passed…. a mix of shock and sadness, and a feeling that though we never met, I somehow feel as if we had met.

Meeting Dr Meldrum at the Texas Bigfoot conference was a wonderful experience. He was kind, thoughtful and generous with his time and spoke to everyone who wanted to meet him, signed every book and answered every question. Just so sad to see this about his passing. He will be greatly missed by all of us, more so by his family and close loved ones. Thank You Dr Meldrum for your courage, your scientific curiousity, dedication and determination and your inspiration. God bless you Dr. Meldrum, sending love and sympathies to his family.

Oh my gosh, I just found out on this forum. I concur with all the previous comments of this great forum. Dr. Jeff Meldrum did more for advancing education and bringing scientific light to the Sasquatch Community than any other person. I learned more from him, especially their morphology, anatomy, and locomotion, than any other person(s) could bring to this community. What a loss to this community. For me his book” Sasquatch, Legend Meets Science” was the single best book of Bigfootology, and I was looking forward to part II, which was in the works. My condolences to Dr. Medrum’s family and all his legions of fans. R I P, job well done sir.

I was quite interested in Dr Meldrum. I myself do not believe in the existence of a Bigfoot. but, it was People like Dr. Meldrum who have given me a sliver of a chance that there is something out there unknown to man, despite all the BS stories I hear. You have to admit, folks, there are some tall tales out there, but through Jeff Meldrum’s scientific analysis of the Creature with the explanation of the Foot and how it withstands the weight of a creature that big, bring forth a slight possibility that we have a neighbor living in our woods that makes Shaq O’Neill look like one of the munchkins in the Wizard of Oz. I hope that if someone takes his place, they have the education and background that can explain the physical aspects of a creature that big and what makes it so unusual in its size, as well as Dr Meldrum could. and not some run-of-the-mill country bumpkin that calls himself an expert just because he heard a weird sound in the woods and studied it, and now he calls himself an expert., Dr Meldrum. He is as close to an expert on Sasquatch as you can get, and to that I give him the respect that is due to him. Thank you, Dr Jeff Meldrum, you have, through your studies and knowledge, shed a sliver of light for me that there is a possibility Sasquatch does exist, May you rest in peace, and may the Lord comfort your family.

I was devastated and shocked when I heard the news. He will leave another big hole in the real research community. I would have liked to have met him. Thankful that we have people like Wes to keep his memory and research alive, and that we have people who will carry on his work. May Doctor Meldrum forever rest in peace, and I hope that he discovers the truth on the other side.
