A listener writes “I know people are probably giving you a hard time about Episode 1278, but I just wanted to let you know that I loved it! I saw a UFO just like the one Bruce Gernon described toward the end of the episode.
It was June 17, 2000. I was on my way to Myrtle Beach, SC, with my uncle’s family. I was sitting in the back seat with my cousin. We had been on the road all day and were getting close to the end of our journey about 30 minutes outside of Myrtle Beach.
Everyone was tired, and we were all sitting quietly, just watching the scenery go by. I could see a full moon out the window to my left. Then I looked out my cousin’s window to the right and saw what appeared to be another full moon behind the palm trees.
I did a double-take.
The moon was clearly to my left, high in the sky. So I looked back to the right, and this thing was still there.
I pointed it out to my cousin, and we watched it follow along the road beside us, still partially obscured by the trees. It appeared to be slowly descending. We tried to get my uncle to pull over so we could get a better look, but he just kept driving.
We continued watching it for another couple of minutes, and then we noticed what looked like a white liquid dripping from the bottom of it. I’ve always described it as what it would look like if you poured milk over a basketball.
We eventually lost sight of it when the road made a turn.
I run a small UFO research group here in West Virginia with a buddy of mine called the Appalachian UFO Research Society. I’ve heard hundreds of UFO reports over the years, but I had never heard anyone describe anything quite like my 2000 Myrtle Beach sighting until I heard Bruce Gernon tell his story on your show.
The similarities were so striking that it gave me chills.
I definitely need to reach out to him. That was really cool. And I’m a sucker for time travel, too, so I’ve definitely got to get his book.
Thanks again for that episode. I never would have heard of Bruce Gernon if he hadn’t been on your show. And thanks for everything you do! I’ve listened to every episode, and I really appreciate you, brother.”
