A listener writes “I realize right up front that my experiences aren’t Sasquatch encounters, so I completely understand if they don’t fit the type of content you typically cover on Sasquatch Chronicles. I still wanted to reach out because I appreciate the way you give people a chance to talk about strange experiences without immediately ridiculing or dismissing them.
I grew up not believing in the paranormal, and for most of my life, I would have considered myself pretty skeptical of these kinds of things.
My first experience happened when I was around 19 or 20 years old while I was working at my church during the summer. I was usually the first person there in the morning. One morning, while I was sitting in the foyer, I saw what appeared to be part of a shadowy right leg, from somewhere around the knee or thigh down.
My immediate thought wasn’t that it was something paranormal. I assumed one of the pastors had entered the building without me noticing. I got up and went looking for him.
Nobody was there.
Both pastors’ offices were empty and dark. The hallway where I thought the person had gone was separated by a door that squeaked loudly every time it opened, and I hadn’t heard it open. Another teenager arrived shortly afterward. I told him what I had seen, and he laughed at me. That experience taught me pretty quickly to keep things like that to myself.
I didn’t even learn about the phenomenon of shadow figures until several years later. Years after that, I moved from Connecticut to Georgia and worked as an elementary school custodian from January through June of 2022.
During those six months, I experienced a number of things that I still can’t explain.
One evening, while cleaning an empty girls’ bathroom, I faintly heard an elementary-school-aged girl say, “Excuse me.” I also had doors slam behind me on three consecutive nights. On another occasion, I saw what appeared to be a person who was roughly six to six-and-a-half feet tall walk across a completely dark gymnasium. What caught my attention was that the motion sensitive lights never came on.
One evening, while I was outside checking the building, I looked through the cafeteria windows and saw what appeared to be a mother with two children. They stopped when they noticed me looking at them.
I briefly looked down.
When I looked back up, they were gone.
There was an after-school employee sitting approximately 20 to 30 feet from the cafeteria, and she hadn’t seen anyone enter or leave the area.
There were other things as well. I experienced lights turning themselves on and off in five different classrooms. I heard unexplained whistles, and on one occasion I distinctly heard a faint “Hi” behind me when there was nobody there.
I also had two physical experiences in the same classroom on consecutive days. The first was a sudden feeling of hot pressure against my back near my left shoulder blade. It felt almost exactly like someone had placed their hand against me. The following day, in that same classroom, I felt something tug on my latex glove.
Several months after leaving the school, I had another strange experience at my new job.
On October 31, 2022, I saw two red dots near the corner of a building. I initially assumed they were the brake lights of a dumpster truck we were expecting. When I walked around the corner, however, there was no truck, no person, and no apparent source for the lights.
I don’t claim to know what any of these experiences were. In most cases, my first instinct was to investigate and try to find a normal explanation for what I had experienced. I’m not looking to convince anyone that these things were paranormal; I’m simply saying that I experienced them and still don’t have satisfactory explanations for all of them.
I know this is outside the typical Sasquatch encounters you cover, but if you were ever interested in having me on to talk through these experiences, I’d be more than willing.
Either way, I appreciate the work you do and the fact that you allow people to tell their stories without making them feel foolish for sharing them.”

Very interesting. It is so common for those who experience Sasquatch encounters to also have a past of paranormal encounters, so it is fitting. Thanks for sharing!
