Sorry to hear that, I think Trapper was loved and well liked by many. He seemed to me to be the only serious person on the team. .RIP, in Gods grace and love, Mr. Tice.

This is very sad. I loved watching Trapper and the boys. He, especially, was very kind to people.

A Vietnam army vet specializing in the Vietcong forest. He spent a good part of lifetime chasing the strange creatures of the WV and neighboring states forests. We know the Mountain Monster’s shows made it seem like the 3 stooges x 2, running about the forest with guns a blazing. My wife and myself would laugh in amusement, and I guess this was the producer’s goal. However I learned from Cliff Barrackman, that the team took this very serious and were very knowledgeable, and really great guys.
R I P Trapper. You will be missed and thanks for the memories. Thanks to you I know the grassman of Eastern Ohio is the biggest and bad assed Bigfoot of all.

The only reason I use to watch Mountain Monsters was because of Trapper.
I didn’t believe their stories but that didn’t matter to me.
Their show made me laugh.
John (Trapper) will be missed.

I liked John Trapper and tolerated the rest of his crew because he seemed authentic. And, yes, they always made me laugh! I remember the first time my husband noticed me watching the show and he said, WHAT are you WATCHING?!! He watched for a minute and said unbelievable! But he laughed too. He doesn’t watch much TV. Anyway, sorry he’s passed away and is now in no pain & in the presence of real Peace.

Happy hunting on the other side.

KEEP ON SEARCHING.

Every episode of that show they built a trap that the monster smashed, the fat guy falls in the creek and rival gangs beat them to the prize. It is hard to imagine that any of them were serious! But they were very funny.
