I’ve done a lot of this type of recon in the western US, Switzerland, and Egypt. After 10 years of work the pace of interaction with non conventional activity is increasing as I gain experience and skill. Now I’m working on better documentation and a higher level of interaction. The creature running down the side of the road at night 20 miles into the forest 2 weekends ago was bear size and traveling about 20 to 30 miles an hour. Because I couldn’t close on it driving at those speeds. It happened so fast that I didn’t try. I came around a corner and it was running down the side of the road and then went into the trees. It looked like the rear end of a bear, or something with brown fur down on all 4s in the 200 to 300 pound range. I can’t say that it wasn’t a bear. But I couldn’t make out the legs. It was just a mass of fur moving along at a pretty good clip.

The track line that I found a couple of hours later 27 miles into the forest at elevation in the snow wasn’t a bear. And looked like a bigfoot. Probably in the 7 to 9 foot tall range. I’m not there for bigfoot. But I’m guessing that between the screaming two years ago when I was surrounded by 3 of them, trackline and the area’s history. That they’re going to be an ongoing part of my ET/ED contact work in this forest. So I’m going to try to peacefully coexist with them if I can. And see what develops.

In a high activity area in the NW. I don’t want to be more specific for operational security. I’ve received a death threat as recently as less than 30 days ago. And my face is permanently scarred from surviving a head shot. I’m not afraid or paranoid. But I do take prudent precautions to try to minimize problems.
