ParticipantI was far from amused..lol.. I would say at first shocked, then as my mind processed what I was seeing and couldn’t quite put it into perspective, then the fear hit and then of course flee took over. After years of playing, it over and over in my head, I feel there was no aggressive intent on his part. I say his because I’m sure it was male, though I didn’t see male parts, it just felt that way because of the very obvious sniffing the air to smell me. I’m going to mention something I don’t see mentioned often and is extremely personal, but I struggled immensely from very heavy menstrual cycles, and I feel strange saying it, but I believe that is why he kept sniffing the air, as I had started 2 days prior on the trip. which for me kind of added to the dread and fear, because I felt really vulnerable at that point. That last point was extremely hard to put into print, because it is so personal.

ParticipantIn Silver Valley near Murray Idaho, at a place called Settlers Grove in the Coeur d’Alene forest,. We had spent the week on Vancouver Island BC and were on our way home to Colorado. I went back in 2001 to face my fears so to speak on our way to Leavenworth Washington and it had become a hiking trail, but in ’88’ it had been a very rough 4×4 road. An interesting thing about mine is he had an extremely large and wide keloid scar on his right arm, running from his upper bicep to the back of his hand, you could see the hair never grew back over it and was silvery white compared to his darker skin and a large scar over his right eye from hairline to the side of his nose, with damage to his eye, I believe? because he kept tilting his head back and forward to look at me, like an old person does when they can’t see without their glasses? and I could see his nostrils clearly as he kept trying to smell me. I’ve really never told the full story to anyone just my parents, brothers, and a couple cousins. I tried to send Wes or Woody an Email when I first found them, 8 yrs ago, maybe?.. I was sooo nervous, then regretted it, because I realized after I sent it I was in no way prepared to tell it out loud to strangers. I was always thankful they never got back with me.. lol

ParticipantWhy are you scolding me about O/T threads? I’ve never said anything about O/T threads? I’ve often contributed to them.. I only posted it was a Sasquatch question so as it didn’t get lost amongst the others for those who don’t read the O/T ones. That was my point, it wasn’t universally talked about previously, not going back and not during my time in chatrooms early in the internet, and before shows such as Finding Bigfoot.. it was just a fun question for opinions about could we be influenced or did Sasquatch evolve to the current behaviors.

ParticipantWell technically they are describing the Amazon, where we know primates of several species live and we know that clapping and sounding alarm is a primate activity. My encounter happened in 1988, for years I didn’t know what I saw, but I never described it as a primate of any kind, it was a human to me and I always described it as an Australian Aboriginal looking person, but large.. I had never been exposed to Leonard Nimoy or Boggy Creek, I lived very rural on a Reservation and didn’t have access to TV to be exposed to those types of shows, we didn’t even get electricity to our farm until 1977.. fast forward to 1993 AOL dial up and Ask Jeeves, did I find my first Bigfoot group, it was an open chatroom, I don’t recall a single story from anyone in the chat saying they heard wood knocking and knew it was a Bigfoot or had rocks thrown at them, though there were plenty of sightings, plenty of stalking, and being pushed out of an area, going back years types of stories. so what changed?

ParticipantWhen I go back and read many old accounts there are no tree knocking reports, or rock throwing, no matter how many times he was actually spotted in a area.. also when I first started my dive into the Sasquatch world, You never heard of tree breaks or structures.. I know for a fact as long as I been interested in Sasquatch, a few of those are a recent addition to many of the stories.. so I would be curious to ask, do you think we have added attributes to Sasquatch stories due to outside influence? or do you think Sasquatch behavior has evolved?

ParticipantI been a member for about 6 yrs, so I’m used to it, that’s why I was sure to label it as a Bigfoot question, so it wouldn’t get lost in all the others.

ParticipantWell I can tell you I’m creeped out by Yacolt Washington, we stopped there and the place is a creepy environment, I couldn’t put my finger on why it made me so uncomfortable. My Husband is Chehalis and over Christmas I was telling his family about the creepiness I felt there, and they started talking about old tribal stories, about haunted woods and Sasquatch, and they had an old story about a bunch of Native children who disappeared while picking berries way back when, of 6 or7 children only one was found in such a state a shock they never spoke another word the rest of their life, and more modern ones talking about people who were not quite right in the head who lived there through the years.

ParticipantSooo let me tell you my experience with Covid and the shots, I contacted Covid in 2020 when it first hit the US, this year after the shot and 2 boosters I got it again, my brother was forced shots and he got it this year, and so did my 80+ year old parents with shots and 2 boosters… but my Husband who was in the house with me both times has not had it or showed signs of having it and he is unvaccinated, but I will tell you this, He is Chehalis and a HUGE believer in natural medicines, every day he takes a zinc, Selenium, D3+K2, Elderberry, and Oil of Oregano, all immune supports, he swears it’s the combination of those that has prevented him from catching it. He believes the Oil of Oregano is the big kicker in the deal.. so just my 2 cents.
