ParticipantI picked a good year to give up on the NFL since the Denver Donkeys have been somewhat embarrassing. Raised on football with former friends and boyfriends in the NFL, but it has lost its luster.

ParticipantA small town in Idaho, and I hope to God I never have to move again, because I have lived all over.

ParticipantGumshoguy, et al. Regarding my comment about the choice of highlighting the DeOrr case in Missing 911, I am sorry I didn’t respond. I rarely post or participate on the forum. I was told things in confidence by someone involved in the search and cannot post them. I wish I could elaborate, but I can’t.

ParticipantI have read several of the Missing books and found many of the stories fascinating. I used to be in K9 SAR and know some of the excellent dog teams that were on the searches in his first book. Some of those cases can be explained by non mysterious reasons by any expert in lost person behavior. Others, definitely not.
I also know people who searched for the little boy in Idaho, DeOrr Kunz. Why he picked that case, out of so many, is incomprehensible. That one may come back to haunt him.

ParticipantOops. I also am having trouble adding a link. Perhaps cut and paste like the olden days?

ParticipantThere seems to be some good suggestions here:
For instance, “YouTube offers an automated program like this called Content ID, to apply you must fill in this form, however, there is a criteria to meet. The Content ID system is for more established users who upload on a regular basis and are prone for their videos to be swiped.”
I hope Wes finds out who is profiting from his work and stops them, at least for now. It seems to be a tremendous problem. It would infuriate me if it happened to me. Best of luck.

ParticipantThere is a pure black wolf near me in Idaho that is supposed to be well over 200 pounds. The local wildlife authorities have been keeping an eye on him for a while. I keep hoping I might spot him while driving up in the mountains. I have a 110 pound male GSD and it’s mind boggling to think of something double his size.

ParticipantI had NO idea that so many people had let their pet gorillas and chimps loose across the country over the years. Quite the epidemic…

ParticipantHere’s one more. It looks prehistoric. Black Dragon Canyon, UT, near Green River.

ParticipantPam, I have such fond memories of Northern CA and southern OR and I am glad to hear there are still nice people there. I moved away years ago and still dream of seeing the redwoods again. And maybe another Bigfoot. However, the last time I visited, I had rocks thrown at my dog from about 100 yards away, up on a mountain. So, maybe not.

ParticipantI almost moved to Fruita and I think the Grand Mesa is one of the most beautiful places in the US, and few know about it. You made me miss living in Colorado. Nice video.

ParticipantFunny, I was just thinking about that today. When I was little, my parents used to spend a week or so fishing in the Klamath River for steelhead and salmon. We stayed in deserted campgrounds in a tent. Every time my brother broke a branch against the tree for firewood at night, there would be answering wood knocks all around our campsite, about 50 yards away. It used to worry me but my parents laughed it off. Back then, there were few houses and no other campers for miles.
I would hear people walking around the tent sometimes, in the middle of the night, but I was ignored. Locals used to stop their vehicles and get out and warn us about the “wood boogers” and my brother and I would run to our parents and relay the warnings. My parents just laughed because they looked down on people who lived in rural areas and considered them intellectually inferior. Even though I was probably about 8 or 9, I knew when adults were lying to me, and the concern of all those nice local residents made me uneasy But, my parents were Bay Area citidiots and walked around clueless most of the time. This was back in the mid 1960’s in the Happy Camp area of CA.

ParticipantThe way you not only bring the features to life, but have expression in the eyes and face is nothing short of genius. Wonderful work, David. Thank you.
