I can not thank you and everyone on here enough. This was great information. We are all feeling much better. The dog and myself took the longest but we are doing better finally. The dog is still super clingy but other than that he’s great. I really just can’t thank you and everyone enough for taking time to help us through this.

Thank you for explaining it. I can’t say if it’s the stress of the situation or infrasound. My dog is slowly coming out of it other than separation anxiety and he doesn’t want to go outside. I’ve had the worst headache of my life. Two nosebleeds and my muscles feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. The kids are doing much better. They had headaches and earaches but they was out running today so I’m happy about that. I’m going to go back when the younger boys go back home. We are going back to the area tomorrow but to a different spot and just for the day. I don’t think they could handle going back to camp.

No. I’ve had a migraine since that night and my poor dog cries every time he thinks I’m leaving. The kids are doing much better. Thank you for asking.

I don’t really know what that is or what it causes.

We are all under the weather right now even the dog is feeling bad. I’m hoping whatever we all got goes away soon. I’d be glad to discuss what happened with Wes.

Would like to say thank you for all the questions and we’ll wishes. It’s helping me to sort through what happened and think on the entire day of things I should have paid more attention to and what went wrong. I will also say every encounter good and bad ran through my head. I tried to do the right things but probably didn’t. I grabbed the rifle because I’ve heard they know what it is so I thought maybe if they see it they won’t get closer. I told my son do not fire that gun it will make things worse. I tried to make the area as bright as possible but lanterns don’t produce much light and our flash lights wasn’t bright enough. One of the boys had a laser pointer, I told him to shine it around. I turned my flashers on. I talked calmly and prayed out loud. I don’t everything we did right or wrong but I think hearing other encounters did help me an even though I was scared and panicked I tried not to show it and I made the kids act calm and collected. I’m proud of them for doing the best they could in such a scary situation. So thank you to every one and thank you West for this show.

That’s a lot of good questions. So it was myself (38yr old mom), my brother who is 34, my son who is 17, his friend who is 19, my kids half brothers one is 12 and the other is 8 and our chocolate lab. No hunting. Lots of fishing but through everything back do to size of fish. We was set up with 3 tents in an established camp area. It was a lake so I wouldn’t think we blocked access to water. Yes the boys peed on trees. Yes they climbed trees. They was very loud because it’s the middle of bfe so I let them be as loud as they wanted. We didn’t block game trails. They did hike off trail a lot. They took bait fish to an injured bird on the opposite side of lake from where we camped. They may have chopped the wrong trees. I didn’t see everything the older boys did because they was all over lake and woods. I stayed at camp and just let them go. That’s what the boys trips are for. They run wild. We got there at 6 am set up camp and was there all day but didn’t even get to stay over night.

If it helps I think the nearest little town to where we was is a place called Briar Missouri. I believe that’s Ripley county but could be wrong on county.

I guess it’s the time difference because it’s showing a different time on my post than it is here.

Sorry didn’t see the time thing. I’m going was going by the time my clock in my car said once we hit a paved road and started picking up cell signal. We are central time. Maybe that’s it. Let see what the time on this comment shows. It’s 2:27pm right now. Let’s see what the time stamp says.

I can say that the more I calm down and think. I think the kids had possibly been calling them in all day. Not on purpose but as some of fished and some hiked they was doing owl calls and howling at each other. Being kids but making different noises allike day. I seen tree twist and breaks. We seen tree shove in the ground. I thought it was odd but not something that concerned me. It didn’t look fresh and it was anything that couldn’t be explained by humans or weather. I think they wanted us out of there and I know they could have killed us easily. I just can’t get the sound of my brothers voice out of my head. That’s the only part I can’t get my head around. That’s the only part I can’t get my head around. If nothing else had happened and I just heard that voice, I would have bet my life that it was brother. I just can’t get my mind around it. I do think we pissed them off. I can’t say for sure but I think had we just stayed in camp and not been hooting at each other we may not of had anything happen. We had heard whistles and knocks during the day but once again it wasn’t anything I couldn’t explain away. Somewhere in the back of my mind I had a a little voice saying something was out there so I just ignored it. I wish I wouldn’t have.

Thank you all. We never go unarmed. I thought if they seen the guns ito might keep them from coming all the way in. I told the kids they was just wanting us gone but I was trying to wait for my brother to make it out of the woods. So when I thought said over here my son started running that way thinking he was hurt. That’s what actually scared me because it sounded like him but I new my brother wouldn’t have wanted us to run into the woods even if he was hurt. He always says if something happens I’ll be fine until day just leave me. He’s use to being out hiking over night and he knows how to hunker down overnight. This happened in Missouri. We was trying to camp in Mark Twain. We went to this place because it’s remote and you don’t often see people out there. If you do they come out but don’t camp. You have no signal and the nearest help is about an hour away. It has signs up saying basically if you hike, camp, ect.,you are on your own. It list some numbers and then reminds you again how far away help is.
