I’ve always thought that Todd was for real. People who claim he is a hoaxer have not provided enough evidence themselves to prove it. At least the man is out in the field doing the work. I can’t say for sure, that everything he presents is 100%, but maybe it is. Les Stroud did not seem to think he was a fake.
Yes, my friend has taken others to meet them. He tells me that he and the others have never felt being in any danger. In fact the other people that he has taken, have gone back on their own and had additional good encounters. However, He said that in the presence of the alpha male, he is intimidated, but never feels dread or other negative vibes. Basically, my friend saved a young one from a large boar, and they have been friends since.
There is a lot more to the story, but it is not mine to tell. In fact, I may have told too much already, so we will leave it at that for now. I want to get permission before elaborating further. I’m not necessarily wanting to share his or my story, but just wanted some opinions about how this may affect my life. I’ll be as careful as one can be, considering. Thanks for your input. I just hope I don’t freak myself out.
I’ve been a member here, since about the beginning. I just don’t check the forums much or make many comments. I like listening to the episodes. I’ve been interested in BF since I was a kid. You know, the usual Lennard Nemoy shows, Fate magazine, PG film, etc. I’ve found a couple of possible footprints while camping & sorta looking. I am from NC where there seems to be a lot of activity.
I’m going on a expedition soon with someone that claims to have a “relationship” with a group of BF and he is part native American. He is going to finish some sort of ritual with his full blooded relatives, that may help him be more in tune with nature and/or the forest people. I’m going to join him, and then we are going to go visit his forest family, as he calls them. I’m really looking forward to the ritual, I think it would be awesome to see a part of that culture that is not tourist driven.
I have no reason not to believe him, but who knows. I am a little apprehensive as to how it may affect me, if we happen to have an encounter. Chances are, we won’t see anything. But at the same time, if what he tells me is true, this could be the best chance of having an encounter, I’ll ever have. I’m just thinking that if one goes looking for a BF, then the “life changing” effect may not be as strong.
