I think that they might be killing more humans for food except for associating humans with guns. The oral histories of Native Americans seem to imply some terrible instances of human predatation, especially women and children, who would be less likely to have weapons. There are no Sasquatch ERs, a wound doesn’t have to immediately immobilize in order to eventually kill through infection, these creatures are probably smart enough to see humans as physically risky prey.

NO, and I live in one of the few counties in Kentucky where there’s never been a recorded sighting. But I grew up in the mountains, where there are sightings, but never heard about them until the internet came to be.

Maybe they sometimes suffer from dementia when they get old? Anger, confusion, these can be some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s in human beings.

Highly evolved ape species. Like Chimpanzees, they can behave very brutally. JMO, I’ve not been educating myself on the topic for very long.

Imagine the legal chaos if it not only came out that Bigfoot existed, but that people had been killed in national forests by these creatures and the families had been told lies! The legal battles would be unimaginable. But that’s the practical side, I think the Government needs to keep both religion and scientific discovery balanced and predictable as a means of control. What if these creatures do have some kind of language? Does that make them human-ish? Do various religious bodies erupt in chaos over this question? Do scientists start questioning everything they have been kept from looking into due to ridicule and lack of funding? Any conspiracy theory would suddenly become worth serious exploration instead of ridicule.

Imagine Bigfoot researchers becoming legitimized CNN, Fox, MSNBC go-to “experts” on the breaking news.

I have, like diana m, wondered if there have ever been any female “dogman” encounters? If teats could be seen through the fur, that could answer the question of canidae or primate.

I never really figured Dogman was anything but a misidentified Sasquatch until I started listening to “Dogman Radio”. Some of the encounters I hear there make a case in my mind that it might be a different class of creature from Sasquatch.

Who knows, maybe some wolf-like creature eons ago survived an extinction event by evolving to reach into the trees and bushes for the small creatures that lived there?

I was also disappointed by the religious angle the interview took. The things we understand scientifically today (and don’t yet understand) would have had to be looked at in a “good” vs “evil” context by our ancestors who lived in Biblical times. They had no other reference point. I am very open-minded, and have always been interested in fringe subjects, probably because my Dad was quite interested as well.

The answer I was hoping for in further insider episodes was Chris’ take on the purpose of the military attacks on the creatures? Were they after specimens? Had specific groups of creatures killed humans, and needed to be exterminated?

I recall the episode where the gentleman was interviewed about the death-bed confession he heard as a young, Mormon Missionary from an old man who had been a Deputy Sheriff brought along on one of these attacks on a group of creatures, where they singled out a female with her young, killed them both and took the body of the young one. Why take the body? I was interested to see if anything in the insider interviews was similar to that raid (I don’t recall which episode).

I also want to say I don’t post much because my knowledge and experience is so limited compared to the members here, I lurk and learn a lot. Sasquatch Chronicles is my favorite podcast by a long shot. Just hoping no one thinks I’m a troll. I live in Kentucky, and finding out that the creatures are widespread in this state surprised me. Recently my sister, who lives out in the country, said some Big Foot investigators were looking around fairly close to where they live. I’m especially interested now, and it worries me more than a little.

Most TV is garbage. That’s one reason I listen to podcasts so much.
