    Hey Melanie!
    There are those who swear we are not related in anyway to Neanderthal. There are studies that suggest the redhead gene (Melanocortin 1 receptor or MC1R) was a Neanderthal mutation. As a redhead, I am ok with being part Neanderthal, if that is indeed a truth. I know there was a study of redheads and skin thickness, cold tolerance and femur lengths that didn’t exceed 77cm. We redheads are often ( not always, but very commonly) built thicker and more muscular than other color hair people. I just wonder about that, from my own rare hair perspective.
    I think that if it walks on Two legs, is very clever and has similar behaviors of great apes, than it well may be a relative, so to speak. I mean after all, we share a lot of similar DNA with Chimpanzees.
