Well, great apes like chimpanzees use tools, have a social hierarchy similar to social structure but they’re still considered animals. As John Green said, “they live very much the life of a bear,” which is true, assuming they actually exist. They appear to live like animals. It’s a fine line but ultimately we’re also merely animals.
July 26, 2015 at 12:59 pm #41106Andrew LParticipantMark B, you have a healthy perspective, sir. The presence of Science doesn’t negate the existence of the soul. Or the afterlife. My two cents- I’m an ACTUAL skeptic by nature, not a Debunker. Debunkers are petulant pseudo intellectuals who go around attempting to invalidate everything but they CALL themselves skeptics because it sounds more sophisticated than, “I’m a Debunker.” I don’t necessarily believe in the conventional God or a singular, all powerful, anthropomorphic deity but I’m almost CERTAIN there’s SOMETHING else. However, as humans, I don’t think we’re equipped to even begin to comprehend whatever IT is. I just don’t think we have the capacity to understand what it may be. It’s probably so foreign, so bizarre, that we may as well not even bother worrying about it until we get wherever it is we’re going. Trying to understand it would be like trying explain Quantum Physics to your dog- it’s just not gonna work. Again, just my feelings on the matter. I may be wrong.
July 26, 2015 at 12:44 pm #41104Andrew LParticipantRick F, I see and appreciate your point about evolution. Not so much Creationism but as Brian M said, the evidence is likely scattered beneath our feet between soil layers created during periods of glacial migration and seismic activity. You would need a series of skeletal remains with adaptations in succession from centuries, even millennia to have SOLID physical proof.
July 26, 2015 at 12:33 pm #41103Andrew LParticipantDefinitely. Will Jevning made a good point when he brought up Chimpanzees in Africa stealing young children and infants from villages, then eating or mutilating them and how the Sasquatch had been said to do the same thing, even to adults, especially during particularly harsh winters where game and high sources of protein and calories were nil. I fact checked and he was right about the apes eating/killing people. If great apes and monkeys have done it, there’s absolutely no reason one of these creatures wouldn’t at least have the potential to do the same thing. Nature can be quite cruel. People tend to forget that too often.
July 25, 2015 at 11:51 pm #41002Andrew LParticipantI’ve thought long and hard about circumstances like these and their plausibility and I genuinely feel like these kinds of things have happened before. My opinion is that these creatures have widely varied genetic and physical attributes as well as temperaments. From what I’ve heard over time, females appear to be considerably less aggressive or at least they’re GENERALLY less aggressive. If they’re as similar to humans as I suspect (in some respects) then I can see the potential for a human-like maternal instinct or empathy, at least for human children. I agree with Wes that their temperaments are as varied as people’s temperaments- you have docile, hostile or even indifferent hermetic creatures, maybe even creatures with latent mental illness. Interesting account, if nothing else.
July 19, 2015 at 4:59 pm #33913Andrew LParticipantYeah, I tried to elicit a response from Knobby about it and haven’t heard a peep since he mentioned he’s had an aggressive encounter.
July 16, 2015 at 3:36 pm #33502Andrew LParticipantOh my goodness! I LOVE YOU GUYS! Thank you so much for your help! I REALLY appreciate it! Finally!
July 16, 2015 at 12:53 pm #33474Andrew LParticipantAnd Scott B, I would LOVE to have a phone conversation with you some day to hear any additional info you have. That was one of my favorite interviews for sure.
July 16, 2015 at 12:46 pm #33472Andrew LParticipantThank you btw, Shannon.
July 16, 2015 at 12:45 pm #33471Andrew LParticipantYes! It WAS JERSEY! Can’t remember WHICH episode number though. 🙁
July 15, 2015 at 9:18 pm #33360Andrew LParticipantI think it had several guests but I can’t find it either. It’s driving me nuts! I’ll let you know if I find it.
July 15, 2015 at 9:15 pm #33359Andrew LParticipantAnybody remember which episode had the witness who said he ran into a Sasquatch carrying the front half of a dog it had killed? Anybody?

July 15, 2015 at 9:10 am #33199Andrew LParticipantYeah, the suspense is killing me here! Still dying to her about Knobby’s experience. I’m excited to hear about it!
July 15, 2015 at 12:00 am #33116Andrew LParticipantSimple- a body. Dissected, studied with results and conclusions peer reviewed at the very least. Once that’s done, funding may be given to biologists to find any living creatures in any habitat and attempt to study behavior. That’s when they’ll really run into some problems. If funding had already been invested for any accepted members of the scientific community this species would have already been discovered and ACCEPTED as authentic by mainstream science.
