Wow, what an amazing encounter!! Thank you for sharing! I live in FL as well (Pensacola) & am fascinated with our resident skunk apes. My sighting was in NY when I was a kid. Thanks again for sharing!
No I have not done a podcast! I have always felt my encounter would not seem so interesting to others, yet life changing for me! Bear Mountain in the Hudson Valley was where I had my encounter; the Hudson Valley in Rockland County (technically not upstate which was my mistake!). I was born & raised in Glens Falls. I was skiing with my dad that day; there was a fairly small spiral trail that was my favorite place & I would go down around the 3, maybe 4 curves & start all over again. I’d done this a dozen times before. When I was ab 1/2 way down I started hearing something pacing me. It scared me but I went back down then up around again bc I loved to ski! As soon as I hit the first curve, there was a single blood stained deers leg, hip socket & all, laying across the trail. I FREAKED out. It wasn’t until about 10 years ago in my 30’s when the memory came flooding back. I realized what kind of strength it’d take to pull a deers leg from its body! That’s the short, albeit a bit sloppy version!
I haven’t read all these comments but this may have stemmed from an interview Vic did with a lady from PA recently sho had first contacted LS, who then sent out two investigstors, one of which was a real donkeys butt. I’ll have to look at the episode number and post it in the morning.
Just sent an email with my info! I’m in Pcola, FL, which is northwest Florida. Grew up in Alabama so I’d be interested in an Alabama group as well!

Here in Pcola we have had an unprecedented 11 yrs of no major storms…knock on wood!Hitting more east of us; The best place to be is west of a hurricane! Making landfall closer to Tallahassee. Where I live in Pensacola is only 2 1/2 miles from the AL state line!
On your recommendation I listened to the show and I think somebody took some slaphappy pills before this show! haha They were joking around so hard it made me laugh too! Was a good listen on my otherwise boring ride from Pcola FL to Mobile, AL earlier tonight!
