ParticipantAn individual or individuals in certain organizations and groups that are privy to pertinent and potentially, and most likely secretive, confidential information that the general public or interested parties are not privy to. It may not be as nefariouos as a cover-up of some kind of evil conspiracy or another though. For instance, wouldn’t I be somewhat of an insider in the company I work for in regards to a new product line being rolled out etc. I would have privileged information regarding the what, when and where of this new product and company policy would dictate the secretive nature of this very common business endeavor, in effect making me the said “insider”. Although there would be consequences for loose lips in a company like mine or any, but like an official insider that comes forth to speak (whistle blower), in regards to something of a more serious nature, it’s ultimately the same, but on very different scales of risk and potential damage. After all, you wouldn’t even get the title of “Insider” unless you are ready and willing to go public with your info in some form. Most insiders that become whistle blowers are looked on as heroes of sorts and do it for the general good and well being of everyone involved. They believe they are doing the right thing and may very well be doing so. The right thing for whom though, it’s all relative I guess. I don’t think everybody is a Snowden fan for example.

ParticipantMy thoughts exactly Gumshoguy. If it’s too long, it’s too difficult to read on a computer screen. Also, the interesting “single point” you mention is absolutely correct. The only time I’ve read anything really long is when I’ve happened onto a particular point that resonates somewhere down the page, but if I don’t get that “hook” quick enough, I’m gone. This is not to say that I don’t appreciate the efforts and or content of the original poster, it just makes my eyes water and tires me out. Sorry but I’m getting old.☺
Appreciate you putting this out there!February 8, 2016 at 8:18 am #69460boonedog

ParticipantI just happened to catch this interview yesterday on the original aired podcast. It is in my neck of the woods so it has a lot of relevance to me personally. The guest covered pretty much most of the pertinent and prevailing theories that are out there to date, from the Sasquatch being just a blood and guts natural being to the more spiritual aspects of this elusive creature. He doesn’t advocate any one theory from the other, he just explains what he’s found and or heard through his years of research and lets the audience decide. I found this particularly refreshing. Me personally, from what I’ve read and heard, I would say he’s very well rounded on this subject, much like the gang here at SC. This interview is quite excellent!

ParticipantYa, know what you mean Cindy G. Hard to keep track of all the BF related links and site names on my computer. It’s either Bigfoot this or Bigfoot that, Sasquatch blah blah or blah blah Sasquatch. Hard to organize to be sure. ☺

ParticipantParker. I live in the city on the Lake in BC that you are talking about. I’ve been here for over 40 yrs and heard many accounts (friends and acquaintances) of sightings of this mysterious lake monster called Ogopogo. Over the years there have been various expeditions ( In Search Of) to find the creature, but to no avail. Much like the search for the Loch Ness monster using a fleet of boats with sweeping sonar scouring the lake in a grid fashion, they had some interesting pings, but pretty much came up empty handed, or so they say. There are some that claim it’s simply just a Sturgeon, but they have never pulled one out of this lake or found any kind of carcass, which they certainly would have at some point over the years. Other witness’s claim it is what you described, a plesiosaur type creature that somehow survived into modern day. Some of these same people also claim that there are tunnel systems in the lake that lead back to the ocean?? In 2008 they finished the Willian R. Bennett bridge that crosses the lake. Near the end of the under water construction phase, scuba diving welders encountered something massive that crept up on them as they worked. Needless to say, they had to find a new crew of welders and like so many other cryptid close calls, this one was too close for comfort. I gotta say that your account is one of the best that I’ve heard so far. I’ve been on or by this lake many times but I haven’t had any sightings or encounters, but am still hopeful for one. A SC show that explored the phenomenon of other cryptids is an excellent idea.

ParticipantExcellent flow of insights, ideas and theories laid out in these videos. Very open-minded approach that is not only refreshing but thought provoking as well. For instance, I particularly liked when you talked about tree knocking and the potential type of tree that may or may not be used? This posed a question for me. Do they seek out certain tree species specifically for this task? I know it’s a small detail from the vids, but I’ve never even thought about it before nor have I seen any video that has queried about this potential Sasquatch intricacy. Cottonwood trees for example, seem to rot from the middle out which would could make a tree like this a literal percussion instrument if hit hard enough. Maybe different trees with different densitys’ would create various other communication signals for these creatures?
At this point, only Sasquatch knows for sure but thanks for the Food for Thought Nathan.November 26, 2015 at 8:16 am #59472boonedog
ParticipantI agree about the level of government involvement, or lack there of it Knobby. Sasquatch is a popular topic these days and it’s probably more of an industry now than it ever has been in the past. I remember watching “MERMAIDS: THE BODY FOUND”, on Animal planet as well as “Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives”, both fictitious documentaries that were said to have a very positive effect on the shows’ ratings. Maybe this is all Newsweek wants to accomplish? Maybe not. Bigfoot is another subject though. There is far too much evidence out of the bag at this juncture and its magazines like this particular Newsweek edition, along with all the different known personalities featured in it, (known hoaxers and true blues alike) that gives the subject more creedence by taking the serious approach to the matter which is so refreshing. I don’t think “hidden” government agendas have as much sway any more anyways, they seem to becoming more transparent to more people as time goes on, but try as they may!

ParticipantMichael Harrison. Thanks for posting this Will Jevning interview. I’ve seen it before and it’s a good one. Ultimately, there are three camps in the Bigfoot arena, the skeptic, the naysayer and the believer. Mr Jevning is in our camp and if anyone could be called a so called “expert” on this subject, he surely could easily be called one, along with many other researchers. Anyone with an authentic cryptid type encounter would automatically, by default, have more “credentials” as an authority than say a Dr Jeff Meldrum or a John Bindernagel simply because more than believing it to be true, they know it. Along with Will Jevning, Wes and Woody and the Sas Chrons’ members own encounters, I believe them, {all of you) that’s why I’m here.
