It Was Standing Next To A Tree

A listener writes “In 2018, around August or September. We had driven from Arizona to Central New York to get my girlfriends grandson back before school started up again.

On our return trip to Arizona we stopped in Salida Colorado to visit an old friend of mine that I grew up with in Utica, NY. We spent the night at his house and the next day went over to visit Kim Biel. She is the mom of Jessica Biel and mother in law to Justin Timberlake. My friend was dating her so we stopped to say hello. We finally hit the road again after lunch in an attempt to get back to Arizona. Our trips always take longer than they should because I love to stop and take pictures and explore. Shortly after leaving my buddies house (just outside of Salida) we drove by an old dirt road with a sign that said Old Monarch Pass.

It looked adventurous so we turned around and proceeded up the road. Eventually we drove past a big sign that stated we were at the continental divide so we stopped for a photo. As we drove on the scenery was just gorgeous. On one side was the mountain that we were on and it went up at approximately a 40 degree angle and the other side was a drop off and stunning views of valleys and mountains as far as you could see. At this time we were already big fans of your show and definitely believed in bigfoot . My girlfriend who was driving started to notice a few trees that were ripped from the earth and than shoved back in upside down. We kinda joked about them and drove for a few more miles and than turned around. As we started back towards where we started the mountain was now on our left jetting upwards and the view of the valley and the other mountains was on my right or the passenger side. Just joking around I leaned out of the window and started making some bigfoot calls as my girlfriend Pam continued to slowly drive.

After a few minutes we stopped to get a couple pictures and Pam wanted to look for some cool wood to take home since she is an artist and is always looking for drift wood or just any cool pieces for art projects. We were the only vehicle up there that we knew of. After maybe 10 or 15 minutes Pam says that she can see something up above us on the mountainside. I look up and indeed there was something there. Black in color. I could not make out any detail since it was at a distance above us. Approximately 40 or maybe 50 yards. That’s just a guess.

It was standing next to a tree and kind of swaying back and forth. I wanted to try and get a picture with my cell phone so I started to climb up the side of the mountain towards it. That’s when Pam lost it and screamed that it was coming towards us. She than ran and jumped back into our car. She immediately started the car and yelled for me to get in. She was ready to go!!

As I was starting to climb up towards it I had lost sight of the creature. I say creature but it was hard to really tell. Hearing her screaming to go I started back to the car and we immediately took off. I didn’t get a good look but it looked big and very dark. It was on 2 legs standing up. If it was a bear it would have been standing up on it’s back legs above us and looking down the side of the mountain. I doubt that it was a bear. I think my fooling around with my bigfoot calls may have caught it’s attention and it had come to check us out. Anyway we left and finally made it back to Arizona.

No real detail other than black and big and standing on 2 legs. Nobody believes us when we tell the story but it’s true. I can’t 100% say it was bigfoot but I think it probably was. Just goes to show you that if you make calls you never know who may show up. It never made a sound but I’m sure it heard Pam. Just wanted to share this. Not looking to be a guest but just wanted to tell you my story. I’m dying to go on some expeditions. I need a closer view. Some real detail. Anyway thanks for reading if you made it this far. Keep up the good work.

I had a probable sighting like this that still to this day I don’t ‘count’ mainly because I just don’t believe it. It was behind my home, in the woods, a big, black hair covered creature standing in the woods. It’s freaky, in any situation, it’s freaky.

    Good pic at the top.

If you find something a bit or a lot strange, like those upside down trees, strange structures, or whatever, take the time to explore and analyze. One never knows where it will lead.

Ah! Beautiful Monarch Pass, my old stomping grounds of the 70’s and 80’s I just loved going there. I certainly believe you saw a squatch there. Those trees upside down is a sure calling card.
