A listener writes “I work construction, houses, cabins, tiny homes, all that. My crew was on a job building a remote cabin near the Idaho Wyoming border. That weekend we got assigned a night shift. We rolled in on a Thursday evening, worked until around five in the morning, and then had the next shift starting the following day at 5 p.m.
So after that first shift I headed back to what you’d call the trailer park, basically a bunch of company camp trailers where all the workers stayed. I ate, crashed, and honestly got the best sleep I’d had in a long time.
When I woke up, I drove back to the site for my next shift. Everything felt normal until about two in the morning. I had to use the blue box port-a-potty and since construction guys basically live on gas station food and caffeine, we kept them set a ways off so they wouldn’t stink up the workspace. These ones were maybe 20–30 yards from the tree line.
I didn’t think anything of it. I’m in the woods all the time hunting, fishing, whatever so nothing out there usually bothers me.
Well, I finish my business, and as I’m zipping up, I glance toward the trees. That’s when I saw it, something walking past the tree line. I don’t know if it felt me looking at it or what, but it stopped dead and stared straight at me.
We locked eyes for maybe five seconds, though it felt like twenty minutes. Then it turned and walked back into the woods like it hadn’t been bothered at all.
Wes, its face looked familiar almost like the Jack Link’s Sasquatch, but cleaner, more “put together,” if that makes sense. It was dark, so the color could be off, but it looked covered in long brown hair or fur. The eyes stuck with me the most. They weren’t glowing, but they had this shiny red tint to them. I’ll be honest it was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen.
When it left, I was frozen. Not exactly scared just shocked. Part of me wanted to chase it into the woods to get a better look, but my body wasn’t having it. Once the shock finally wore off no idea how long after it hit me that I had my tape measure on me like always. So I walked to the tree where I’d seen it. I remembered exactly which branch had lined up with its head.
That branch was about seven and a half to eight feet off the ground.
Whatever I saw was tall.
So that’s my encounter, Wes. I’d really like to hear your take on it, because even though I know what I saw, I want to know if you think I really saw a Bigfoot.”

Sounds like a Sasquatch encounter to me!

Being from Idaho and living in Wyoming, I believe you have encountered a Bigfoot. Could you smell it? The woods are so thick and the food source is rich.

The port o potty sounds terrifying enough then to step out and see a Sasquatch… glad it didn’t have a sense of humor while you were dealing with “business” …jokes aside, Thank you for sharing your experience and it’s scary. glad it moved along.
