A listener writes “I am 51 years old, between 1977 and 1979 when I was 9 – 11 years old just as it was getting dark, I saw something walk across the railroad tracks into the woods, near my childhood home located in the hills of Cattaraugus County, in New York, it was very tall (from what I remember it was much taller than my dad and my dad is around 6′ 1″) it was completely covered in reddish fur, it had long arms.
I think it saw me, but didn’t seem to care. I was not afraid at the time although I don’t know why, I also heard a scream in the middle of the night a couple days later that I believed was the same thing I saw cross the tracks. I ran into my moms bedroom because at the time I thought it was the end of the world. She woke up after it had stopped and said that I just thought I was going to hear something and I imagined it. I have been fascinated with sasquatch ever since. I have heard the same scream on one of your podcasts that sounded exactly the same, that made my stomach drop.
I have not seen or heard anything since and no one believes me of course, I wouldn’t believe it either. I know it’s not an exciting encounter, thankfully. I just wanted to share my experience with someone who would believe me. Thanks for what you do, I enjoy listening to others experiences on Sasquatch Chronicles.”

Well Sir, I certainly believe you! And anymore who cares whether some believe or not. With all the strangeness in this worn out world, it just doesn’t matter what some think. I appreciate everyone who shares. It took me a long time hearing others before I was willing to share my experiences . At the same time I wasn’t sure I saw what I saw. The one I saw as a child in the 60s was black but in the early 1970s a Sasquatch presented itself at the windshield of my car at a rest stop and it was red, brown beige color. It was huge to. It reminded me of the colors in the redwoods but with mixture of some browns. Like any animal I think they blend into their surroundings. Thanks for sharing
