A listener writes “I’m reaching out because I’ve had several experiences throughout my life that I believe could be related to Bigfoot. I’m only 18 years old and getting ready to head off to college, but these encounters have stayed with me.

My friend Chase and I have had a couple of experiences together, and we’ve each had our own separate encounters as well. I wanted to share what we’ve experienced and some of the things we’ve found.

A couple of months ago, I was walking around my backyard after we had just finished putting up a new fence. As I was walking along the fence line, I noticed a massive footprint. I didn’t see it until I got close enough to really look down at it. I took a picture and immediately sent it to my buddy Chase. We had recently started listening to your podcast, and when he saw the photo, he said, “Dude, that is huge.” I agreed. It’s one of the biggest footprints I’ve ever seen, but it’s only one of several things that have happened.

My first experience happened about 10 years ago when I was around eight years old. I was at my grandparents’ house, jumping on the trampoline with my little cousin and my little sister. We suddenly heard a noise behind us. Their backyard borders the woods, and there’s a small clearing where you can barely see through the trees. We turned around and saw what looked like a Bigfoot. I can’t say for certain that’s what it was, but it stood around 6’10” and looked like it weighed somewhere between 500 and 600 pounds. It stood there watching us for what felt like a minute, then calmly turned and walked away as if it wasn’t bothered by us at all. That experience has stuck with me ever since.

Another experience happened with Chase and my younger cousins. The night before, we’d heard some strange noises and what sounded like tree knocks coming from the woods behind my house. The next day, we decided to walk through the woods to see if we could find any evidence. While we were looking around, we noticed a pair of eyes watching us. We couldn’t make out anything else. As we started walking back toward my house, something suddenly started running at us. I know that sounds crazy, and I understand that not every reported Bigfoot encounter involves aggression, but whatever it was came charging toward us before stopping at the tree line. We never turned around to look because we were already running as fast as we could. We sprinted up the back steps into my house and stayed inside for the rest of the night. It was one of the scariest moments I’ve ever experienced.

The last experience happened at Chase’s house. His property is surrounded by woods, so we were just walking around outside like we normally do. Across the road there’s a large field, and we started hearing strange noises coming from that direction. Since it was nighttime, we only had our phones for light, so we walked over to see if we could figure out what was making the sounds. We heard brush moving but couldn’t find anything. We figured it was probably just a raccoon or another animal, so we headed back toward his house.

That’s when we saw something neither of us can really explain. It was enormous, covered in hair, and unlike anything I’d ever seen before. If I had to estimate, I’d say it was around eight feet tall and close to 800 pounds. Then it let out a terrifying sound that I’ve never heard before or since. It honestly froze us in place.

For some reason, we stayed outside, even after that. Throughout the night, we kept hearing noises all around us and tried to ignore them. Later, we decided to walk back toward the woods. We didn’t even make it into the tree line before we saw it again. It was standing right there. I could clearly see its face. It looked very ape-like, but it also had human features. Its arms were incredibly long, and its size was overwhelming. Seeing it that close was terrifying. We immediately went back to the house and didn’t come back outside for the rest of the night.

Those are the experiences I’ve had so far. Whether they’re connected to Bigfoot or not, they’re events I’ll never forget, and I wanted to share them with you because your podcast gave me the confidence to finally tell someone who might actually understand.”
