A listener writes “I ran across your show about a week ago, and I just wanted to say it’s a fantastic program.
I had a pretty close encounter back in 2011, but would like to keep my name and exact location anonymous. I live in a small town in (removed) about a mile from the (removed) border. I was actually a few miles in hunting a mountain lion that was killing some calfs. I had left a dead deer in a ravine to bait in the cat, and I believe that’s what brought in a sasquatch.
I had pulled at the edge of a cedar row that could look down the first part of the ravine, and scoped the cat about 65 yards away. The cat however was arching its back like a house cat getting ready to fight. I was a little interested because it didn’t bolt from me pulling up so close, but figured that’s why it was arched up, but it wasn’t looking in my direction at all.
I caught some movement in some grass just past where it was looking. I thought it was a couple of coyotes, because it had a sandy kind of blonde color. But I heard this like low ringing sound, and the cat bolted.
At that point, what I believe to be a sasquatch stood up and moved to take the dead deer. This thing was probably 7ft tall, but looked very hungry. It had rib lines on its side, and its eyes were super sunk in. I wanted to shoot out of fear and confusion, but I was frozen. It looked right at me in my vehicle and let out the loudest roar I’ve ever heard.
I have subs in my car, and this vibrated me more than those do. At that point a whooping came from the tree line next to me. The first creature picked up the deer carcass and in like three steps was in the trees. It had jumped the side of the ravine in the second step, which was a 10ft wall. At that point I was hauling ass in reverse back to the road. I’m pretty sure my friend was spooked by the same things, because he had quit hunting the cat the week prior.
