A listener writes “I never have told anyone my encounter because I feel like people would not believe me due to my lack of detail.

I have been scared of big foot or Sasquatch my hole life until about 1 or 2 years ago. I could not even look at pictures of big foot or Sasquatch.

My family has a house in California that my Uncle and Grandfather bought when I was in the 5th grade maybe even when I was younger, although I have been going there my hole life to fish. The house is in a little area full of homes next to the Klamath River.

On this River I’ve seen a few bears and that’s what I saw at first when I had my encounter.

I was about 13 or 14 and I was riding my bike on a levee separating the houses from the river. On the opposite side of the levee from the houses there is a air strip for small planes and on the other side of that was a tree line that I always pictured something like an bear coming out of the trees.

While I was making my way across the levee I heard gun shots across the tree line and I looked over. Now this is where things get interesting. I saw a object in the trees walking towards the air strip and it was taking long steps. At first I thought it was a bear but the legs where to long and it had long arms with a head that was small on the body and it looked like it merged with the shoulders.

I could not make out a face and I can’t remember the color of it’s hair or skin, but I think it had brownish red hair. I looked around me to see if anyone was around looking at what I was seeing but no one was around and this made me a little shook up because if I could not get off the levee and it saw me and wanted to attack me I was toast.

Luckily what I believe was Sasquatch or big foot turned around and walked along the tree line and then went back into the trees. I think it came out into the open because of the gun shots, although I do not know if the shots where meant for the creature.”
