If you had a chance to interview…..

If you had a chance to interview Dr. Jane Goodall, what would you ask her?

    I would love to ask….
    – are there any outstanding characteristics that chips have in common with all others in the apeein family (gorillas….orangutans…etc.)
-spending years with a chimp group, do the original adults maintain any of the wild barrier they first had….how much do they allow a relationship with her(thinking of any comparrison to habituation situations)
Thanks for taking the time to ask for our opinions Wes .. 🙂

Great idea, if the opportunity comes! I’d like to know what she thinks the family structure/size may be with the size of the a Sasquatch. I’m thinking size has a lot to do with number/ etc. Be fun to know what colors of eye shine she has seen in the wild too.

Congrats Wes on the great interviews lately, too.

I would like to hear her reactions and comparisons to chimpanzee behavior after seeing photos of broken trees and so forth, watching videos such as the eye shine and the flir ridgewalker video at the Browns’ property, and listening to audio recordings of vocalizations, sounds of them ripping branches off trees, banging trees with their hands or branches, throwing logs, smashing logs on roads and paths into or out of an area with you out of the area or within it.

I would take all of the observed behaviors for sasquatch, throwing objects, tree peaking, looming in people’s windows, etc. and create a framework to stricture the interview. I would root the behaviors in a story example and ask her If she had observed this behavior in other primates and if yes what did it mean. If no, have her give you her opinion as to what it might mean in a large primate. I would play vocalizations for her and get her reaction to what she thinks it might mean in a group of large primates. If you go back through just the encounters on your past shows to list out behaviors you could have an all day interview with her. . Having the chance to sit down with an expert like her doesn’t happen often so I would make sure to take enough time to gather as much insight as u could. I have listened to her speak and she is compelling, so I think it would be very interesting and educational. Now this might bore some people but you could spend a longer interview with her, record the whole thing and edit it into multiple shows. You could then do a live interview with her so that listeners can ask questions in the chat room or by calling in. How many times after doing an interview do you think to yourself “I should have asked that or dove in on that topic.” A pre-interview helps get those reflection questions out. I would structure the live interview by taking the most compelling answers from her recorded interviews and asking her to explain or re-explain her answers. I have done interviews like this worth experts for training/educational purposes and it works very well. If you want to talk about it Wes drop me an email and we can talk offline.

They say that human beings can only use ten percent of their brain’s potential. I was wondering how much of their brain the great apes can use? N do you think that great apes could evolve to become more domesticated like we have over the centuries or do you think that they’ll stay more primitive?

She has stated that she thinks there is a real possibility that Sasquatch exists. Based on her knowledge of higher primate behavior, I would love to know what is the evidence that she has heard about, concerning Bigfoot, that causes her to consider this cryptid as possibly being real.

Jane, considering all you’ve done and where & how that it all fits into our changing world, what’s the take-away for you at this point in your life?

In your opinion, what is the mindset of those individuals who may, or ARE contributing to, the body of knowledge you’ve established? The up & comings.

I would want to interview you, Wes. Rather, I’d want to sit and have a beer with you and just chat, about both bigfoot and life in general. That would be kickass

I would get the best evidence that can be brought to her concerning behaviors , vocalizations etc and get her opinion on it. She would be awesome on an expedition with someone like Bob Garrett to lead her into the East Texas areas.
