I was pretty stunned to hear the brothers mention a “green” sasquatch

A listener writes “Wes, Listener/subscriber here … I don’t know if this information will help in any way but as I was listening to the “We Need Help!” episode – GREAT episode btw – one of my favorites –

I was pretty stunned to hear the brothers mention a “green” sasquatch. I’ve been writing a book on weird stuff in south central PA – which includes a bigfoot chapter – in particular dealing with a few places of interest. In regards to one of these places, I found a short news story about a man who was attacked – and sent to the hospital – by a “green haired monster.”

It sounded so outrageous at first that I almost didn’t want to include it in the book – but I did. The book was already past the proof stages when I heard your episode wherein the brothers mention their own green haired creature – but my mouth dropped when I heard them say that.

I’ve tried without any luck to contact the “green haired monster” victim locally. I’m pretty sure I’ve tracked him down but he has no phone or internet presence at all … the attack happened in the early 1970s and he’s in his 60s now. I’m thinking about just knocking on his door but I can imagine that would be a very strange conversation to start out of nowhere – and I wonder: with no phone/internet presence if this guy just doesn’t want to be found.

Anyway, that’s my report. I’ll include a couple of bigfoot illustrations I did for my book – if you like my art and ever need images for anything I’d be happy to give it a go.
Thanks for all you do!”

There were two girls having a lunch break in a park with Redwood trees all around in Santa cruz, CA. and saw a Bigfoot with GREEN MOSS attached to the head an shoulder area. It was mimicing one of them eating a sandwich….There you are Green Bigfoot, problem solved…

I’ve read about several reports of “green” bf. Mostly from Louisiana, Florida area and really damp places. Makes sense to me if you are out in the damp elements all the time algae could certainly grow in hair/fur, I’d think, or from rubbing up against such things. Wonder if he has kin you could talk to and get them to intercede with him. That would be an interesting encounter. Best of luck.

I have heard of that before, green ones. They might have algae in their hair, like a sloth does. I believe they drape themselves with greenery at times. Light reflected through leafy woods might also add a green cast to a pale-colored bf.

I like to hear encounters from all walks of life but to assume that the encounter of a LEO is more credible than a non law enforcement person is ludicrous. Police lie just like any other person only because they are human. There’s no such thing as a trained observer, either you observe or you don’t. It all has to do with how well your attention span is and how well you retain information. My brother is a LAPD officer and constantly looses his keys, that doesn’t sound like a trained observer to me.

If I’m not mistaking that is why the creature, that is seen in the Southern part of Ohio, is called “Grass man”. I have also heard of a red eyed, green haired creature in Kentucky.
