I fired three shots in its chest

I am trying to reach out to this listener.

A listener writes “Hi wes, back in 1985 my best friends and I decided to drive up to Rainbow River to spend a weekend camping out I was really excited to go spend a weekend in the woods when I was packing, I also grabbed my 357 Magnum.

I’m glad I did because that first night something attacked our tent scaring the s*** out of all three of us. I grabbed my gun and unzipped the door and dove out into the open in a tj hooker shoulder roll coming up on my feet to face a huge creature whose eyes seem to glow red in the campfire light it growled at me.

I responded by firing three rounds right in its chest it screamed and ran off in to the woods with incredible speed the three of us immediately broke camp and headed back home to St. Petersburg FL without so much as a word the entire way home. I haven’t been camping since.”

Hello everyone. My name is Shane. Somehow it shows up on my comments as Randall P as that is part of my email. Anyhow. Just wanted to say hello and I look forward to meeting you guys in here. I’ve never had an encounter but I’m a believer so far. Really enjoy the shows. Thanks.

Hope you can get in touch with this one. I have a lot of questions from that little bit of information. For instance, when you say attacked the tent, did it throw things, slam down, scream toward it? And, when you confronted it, how tall was it, could you see it well? Were there lights on outside? When you say you broke camp, did you grab everything or just leave like some campers report doing. Fascinating encounter. Interesting reaction.

“I haven’t been camping since.” I don’t blame you one bit, I’d get queasy at the city park after that one. We would all love to hear more about it. Thank you so much for sharing.

In reference to the post, I had a 5 acre camp near the rainbow river that I used as a base for camping/snooping around the woods there. Creepy in some places, definitely had the feeling of being watched more than once when out there.
