A listener writes “I live in upstate New York 15 minutes from the heart of Rochester, which is the third largest city in the state. My house is just on the outskirts of a densely populated suburb by the name of Chili.

So where the suburbs end and the “country” begins is where my property is located. I own an acre of land but am surrounded by hundreds of undeveloped hardwoods and farm lands with black creek that runs about 400 yards behind my house.

I cannot believe that they are in the woods behind my house because of how close it is to suburbia. Have you had any other people report sasquatch activity close to Churchville, New York? If so I would love to hear about other locations near me!

I have been Hunting whitetail in the woods behind my house and the surrounding area for the past nine years and did not notice any odd or peculiar activity for the first five years. In January of 2019 my friend and I decided to go coyote hunting one night behind my house along the creek right on the edge of a swamp. We set up one of those fake motorized dying rabbit calls and set up on a huge fallen over tree with our rifles. It was about 2:00am and we had been out there for about an hour with no action of any kind. I remember it being very cold, maybe 0 F, and no noise to the point where it was extremely noticeable. That is when we heard a very crisp and clear wood knock that pierced the silence and dragged our attention to our left about 70 yards. I turned to him and said, ” Hey that sounded exactly like one of the those wood knocks that you hear on those retarded bigfoot shows.” We both laughed and ignored it. We sat for another 30 minutes and decided to pack it in for the night. Nothing else happened but this was the very first sign of sasquatch activity that I consciously made note of.

Fast-forward eight, nine months to hunting season, I believe it was mid October, bow season and I was trying to track down a nice trophy buck that I had on my game cameras. I ended up finally spotting him at night crossing the road when I was coming home one night about a quarter mile from my house. I saw him enter a property I did not have permission to hunt. Knowing my opportunity to take this buck was dwindling, I decided that was was going to engage in a little poaching. My plan was to go home put on my hunting camo and walk from my house a quarter mile down the street to the property and build a ground blind the night before and then go back home catch some sleep, wake up early a couple hours before sunrise and hunt the ground blind the entire day.

So when I got back to my house to put my camo on and begin walking down my road to build the ground blind it was about 10:00 pm. To get to the section of woods I was going to you had to walk next to a horse paddock. As I was walking next to the paddock the horses started walking up to me, which drew my curiosity, so I stopped and began to pet the horses. while I was petting the horses a motion light mounted about twenty feet up towards the peak of the stable barn flicked on about 70 yards from me. This drew my attention immediately to a tall dark slender figure standing near the light. The horses started to panic and were running back and forth across the paddock.

I thought it was the farmer staring at me getting ready to have me arrested for trespassing so i slowly back peddled to the road and started jogging down the road, in the opposite direction from my house. after I ran about 200 yards I turned off the road onto another property walked about 50 yards to a edge of some hardwoods and stood there staring back at the road listening for any movement coming in my direction.”
