Though black bear will cover a find, I’ve seen a 7 foot boar, pick up a large dead, 300+ pound doe in its jaws – and run away with it. I’ve also seen smaller bear pick up carcasses and trot away with them.
But I agree, typically it is a cover and return scenario whenever possible. Feast by the largest and walk away for others happens too in high density earmy Sprint numbers. Hell, I’ve seen 3 mature sows on the same dead cow for days.
Nothing in the bush should surprise us, but over & over, nature shows us something new.
Sometimes nature scares the shit out of us too…

Again, this guy has been posting his Sasquatch stories for about a month now, and they are excellent. Anyone who enjoys the content on this site will like his treatment of the subject. I’m not much of a hunter anymore, but I sure do endorse what he’s doing in relating what he’s come across as a professional hunting guide in BC. Great stuff. Check it out.
