Grassman58 writes “So I have been going back and listening to audio recordings we captured years back. Now with the software I have now I can go back and really clean up and boost those early recordings.
The audio was recorded back in the late fall of 2013 while we were camping for several days just north of Northport, Wa. We were calling blasting and getting returned calls back.”

That second call back was amazing. The third seemed further away. I do bird calls and change up my call pattern to bring a bird in. Animals are curious. Even if your call is a bit off. Their curiosity will always draw them closer if you are patient. I would blast call with different tonations. Pause longer between calls. Just a suggestion from a cagey bird caller.

One other thought: the best birds I have called in, were because I kept moving from them. They will chase you and get really close to identify you. Do a call – then move. Closer, move left, or move right but move before your next call.

This is incredible stuff, I feel that the ideas ‘John G’ had were brilliant. We are so lucky to have such an amazing group of open mided people, with such relevant, rare skill sets. I Lovte it here, thanks Wes for creating it.
