Adam Davies writes “While fishing alone by a remote river in Washington State in 2012, Kevin, who was not previously a believer in Bigfoot, experienced something he will never forget. At first, he thought he was looking at a tree—but then it moved.
Standing upstream was a massive, man-like creature covered in dark hair. When Kevin reached for his bag containing a camera and a gun, the creature reacted with a deep, thunderous roar that shook him to his core.
Raising his hands, Kevin spoke calmly: “I am no threat to you.” After a tense standoff, the Bigfoot turned and disappeared into the forest.
In this 7-minute interview, Kevin recounts every detail of that encounter—the sound, the movement, and the massive size of the creature.”

What Kevin Hopkins did to calm down the terrifying situation is exactly what I think a person should do. Of course, much easier said than done. It reminds me somewhat of the hunter in Western Massachusetts that had a Bigfoot approach him, that was a guest here and other sites. I wish Adam had asked Kevin what the Ranger knew about the Bigfoots. It surely seems he was quite aware of them. 9 foot 8 inches is one large male.
Kevin H
The ranger, if that’s what he was, was very aware of the creature(s) and his/their presence. He repeatedly made comments that betrayed that fact. But, if I questioned him, he always deflected any answer with a question of his own. After a few days, I wanted to follow-up with him. I called the hatchery office and asked to speak with him. I was told no officer of that name worked at the hatchery, or in the area. I then called the state Fish & Wildlife Office and asked for information on how to get in touch with him. They said they had no officer by that name, and had no record that a man by that name had ever worked for their dept. After about a week, I got a call from a man who introduced himself as being with the Forest Service, but later said Dept of the Interior. He asked me several very pointed questions that told me he’d heard of my report – and likely had read the details. I asked him about the ranger and he said he had, indeed gotten the report from him. When I asked who the ranger was, he would only say, “The ranger to whom you originally reported.” The number on caller ID was, indeed, the Dept. of the Interior. But, when I tried to call it back, I only got a switchboard operator. The guy’s parting directive to me was the same as the “ranger” had told me – “I’m very sure that what you saw was just a very large black bear. It’s best that, if you ever tell this story, you just tell it as a bear sighting.” When I protested that I knew what bears looked like, he cut me off and ended the call. It was all very weird. That, plus working for years in a professional capacity have kept me from telling the story for the years since. Now, I’m old, retired, and I don’t care what anyone else thinks. I’m happy to answer any questions you may still have.

Good interview, but I wish the interviewer would have asked better questions and gotten more details.
Charles R
I agree with you about this Donald P. I think Adam is trying to make short video interviews in hopes of gathering more clicks. However one can make them short and to the point, while also gathering more details about sightings.
Kevin H
He tries to keep his clips to a time limit. I’m happy to discuss any questions you might have.

It is a great story indeed!
