I edited the original video and slowed down the clip from the beginning. It is too hard to tell if anything is there, its darker then the surrounding’s but it is impossible to say one way or another. I appreciate the listener sending it to me.
A listener writes “My husband went hiking alone today in Chesapeake VA near the Great Dismal Swamp. He took several videos and saw this upon reviewing the videos. Just wanted to show you and see what you think. Looks like something leans in and looks down the culvert towards my husband then leans back as if hiding. Curious what you think.”

Personally, I don’t see anything moving or peeking out. I see someone side stepping and panning while the camera makes a slight adjustment of brightness, some light and darker areas on the couple trees in the foreground make the object appear to change shape or move to some people (as does the side stepping). I got nothing… But if the person filming felt uneasy there could’ve been something causing it, I just don’t think it was that thing by the trail.
Did they eventually go over there and film any more? Did they go back a different day and look again? Did they run? Is this a test?
Yeah man, idk. Maybe I’m not even looking at the right thing.

There is something there but I agree the panning of the camera makes it look like its moving. I am glad they sent it to me. I wish more people would record.

I do not see anything of interest here just like Ron S stated. Rocky Mountain Sasquatch was sent an interesting trail cam posted yesterday, another the day before. Curious of what you think.

Hi Charles..wow..that’s a pretty clear picture. It looks like it would be mean and nasty!! Thanks for sharing that!

I lived in Chesapeake for a while with my back yard backing up to the GDS before moving to Suffolk. Lots of wildlife including black bears. Picked up a few of the denizens of the swamp on game cam but nothing unusual.

I live across the water but used to be on the south side. The Great Dismal Swamp has, I think, a triple canopy. Its always been scary to me. I know too much about what’s in the canal too, ugh.

Oops hit send too early lol..I see something there but it’s brief.***

Huh. It is hard to tell because of the movement of the camera. It really does look like it’s ducking back though.

Thanks for sharing the other link, Charles R. Weird picture!

That looks so much like the trench line at Cold Harbor Va. where during the Civil War a great slaughter happened in a short space of time 10 thousand casualties in 20 minutes if I recall correctly. I guess it is just an exampled of what older trenching looks like, guessing that was for drainage purposes/flood control.
