Upcoming Show: Figure Captured In The Field

I went from using Adobe to Davinci video editing software. I am working on trying to zoom and stabilize this video.

A listener writes “Last year in September in Minnesota I had a close interaction with a creature and have some video footage of it. Last year when this event took place I originally thought it was a dog man or wendigo or something of the sort.

I recently my cousins talked to me and said I should contact you about this because what happened to me is very similar to the encounters on your podcast and after listening for a bit and hearing the Sierra sounds that’s when I was convinced this was a sasquatch or big foot.

Last year I was plowing a field for this farm I work at while on the phone with my older sister (for privacy purposes I’m not going to use anyone’s real name besides my own) but her and I were chatting away about the day and some other stuff when from across the field mid turn around I noticed something in the corn field.

It was big and black but from the distance I was at probably 1000 yards away I couldn’t make out what it was but at first glance I thought the Andersons cows got out again, so I drove over to investigate.

While I’m on the phone I’m explaining to my sister about how I see a cow and it got out so I got to go lead it back to the pasture area they have so it doesn’t get in the way of me plowing the field. (I just want to preface that I grew up in Oregon in the cascade mountains so I’m very familiar with the legend of sasquatch and wild life in general as I grew up in the mountains and hunting) so as I’m driving over towards this corn field its just hitting me that this “cow” is absolutely massive.

Its was huge, so I park the tractor about 250 yards away from where I see this cow and I start walking over towards it still on the phone with my sister. Mind you this entire time I’m telling her what I’m seeing you know because it was just an odd looking cow. So get about 100 yards away and I realize this isn’t a cow by any means it’s way to big.

I thought it was a black bear, they aren’t terribly common in Minnesota but it is possible. So I continue to walk closer because my curiosity was dying to find out what this creature was, but as I get closer it hits me that black bears are not this big I’ve seen grizzlies this big but black bears are very small compared to me as I’m standing at 6’5″.

So this entire time I am thinking to myself what the hell is this thing, so I get 50 yards from it and while I’m walking it’s staring at me kind of swaying back and fourth, and then it stands up on 2 hind legs, now that’s when I was flabbergasted because it’s now standing taller than the corn field which is 7 ft tall. It was a good foot and a half if not 2 feet taller than the corn field and I’m explaining this to my sister and she is like what the hell because black bears cannot stand that tall and if they can I’ve never seen them that big when I was hunting.

So I get 20 yards away and this thing bellows and does an ear piercing scream that rattled my rib cage and my sister starts freaking out she over heard it on the phone and I was a bit shook but I wanted to get an even closer look at this thing so I continued on. I get 15 yards away and that’s when I realized I messed up because this thing tower’s over me and it’s roar was just something to behold.

So I just stood there at 15 yards beholding what I am seeing because in most cases in nature animals are more scared of you vs them so I wasn’t scared of it at first but I was just filled with pure dread I had never been more terrified in my life.

My sister is yelling and yelling at me to get back to the tractor and leave before this thing gets real pissed off, as I am beholding it’s absolute magnitude it bum rushes me, it starts to charge. The fear when I realized this creature was stupid fast and I mean it cleared 15 yards in the blink of an eye was absolutely insane so I did a quick oh no turned around and ran as fast as I could back to the tractor, I’m sprinting as fast as I possibly could back to what I thought was my saving grace, I turn around to take a peak as I hear these long strides and heavy thumps right on my heels and 5 feet to the side of me it’s keeping pace and I had the feeling it could easily just reach out and grab me at any moment.

I clear the couple hundred yards to the tractor in 1 leap I hopped in the tractor quickly trying to close the door on the tractor. I look out the tractor window to see it very quickly turn around and run back towards the corn field at what I imagine is full sprint, the absolute speed this gigantic being carried is something to behold. I almost felt sick because the way it ran I would explain as unnatural to any animal I have ever seen run or human for that matter in my entire life and I would describe it as morbid because it made me sick to my stomach just watching it run and then it vanished into the corn and I have not seen it since.

The entire time I was running my sister could hear the entire altercation between I and the creature. I finished the field convinced what I saw wasn’t real even though I have a video of what I saw.

The next morning I went to my boss on the farm and everyone told me it was just a black bear. But later months after the interaction people were saying they saw the same thing cross the road or hoof it across a field it was never violent towards anyone but I just thought it was an absolutely wild event to take place and luckily I was able to escape from.”

The white blink looks like a cell phone tower. Slow to 25% and a split second later and directly under it a 2nd light can be seen but more faintly, you can even see a slight dark vertical line for the tower itself.

Wasn’t I just saying you can’t trust these phones? Lol

What a sighting and event. The video will not convince most people, but it sure seems the head at least is higher than the corn. I do not know how tall corn gets in Minnesota, but across the road and out my backyard here in SW Ohio it is never lestt than 8 foot and usually more, one year over 12 feet. Back 30 years ago in the Logan County area of Ohio there were a good number of sightings of them at harvesting time as they watched the farmers on tractors, and of course The famous Bigfooter Daniel Perez documented these cases. And of course, Wes had the Lady guest on months ago whose sighting took place along the Great Miami River just south of Dayton, OH who witnessed one twice I believe while working the fields.

Nope… You have your phone IN HAND and you’re 15 yards from this animal and YOU DON’T TAKE PICTURES!! I could excuse this if you were being pursued or if you had to fumble to get your phone out of your pocket. This took place in a time where every cellphone has a camera built-in. GIVE ME A BREAK!

HMMMM. Great story but some things don’t seem right.
-You get 50 yards away and it stands up and is 1-1/2 to 2 feet taller than the corn which is 7ft. Yet you continue walking towards it.
-You get 20 yards away and it bellows an ear piercing scream (we are all familiar with) and rattles your rib cage. And you’re just a bit shook? Yet you continue to walk towards it.
-You get 15 yards away and your not scared, just filled with pure dread
-And after you’ve been chased and are back in the tractor, you convince yourself it was not real and finished the field.

What part of the above does not scream; A. Bull$hit, B. Your making this up or possibly heavily embellishing your experience. C. you have absolutely no sense of fear, D. Your a human anomaly.

At the 50 yard point, 99% of the human race would have lost control their faculties dropped and curled up in to a fetal position.

    Great story but…………….

I sometimes think it would be nice if I had Wes’s phone number and could call him at my whim to ask him his take on some of the blog or even some of the episodes he posts. I know he would never comment publicly but I would like to get his personal take on some of this. I know he makes a good effort to flush out someone’s experience before it ever makes it as an episode. Has to be discouraging when his bull$hit meter starts pegging.

Idk, dry late season cut corn or corn stubble isn’t very tall… no disrespect but I don’t see any evidence to say that this isn’t someone who pulled out their phone to video a buck nibbling on some unharvested cobs before the Minnesota shotgun slug deer season. I hope the rest of the video has something clearer. The contrast is turned up by the apparent dark blotches in the foreground making the subject likely darker as well. I also see more mass to the body area and not much under it that tells me it has spindly legs. Just looks like every other deer I’ve seen feeding, and I swear I also see white markings on it I’d associate with a whitetail deer. Just my thoughts.

Two minutes observation and 5 minutes typing. Take it or leave it. Lol

There always has to be so many doubters and criticizing, that most can’t see when it’s right in front of them. Most are afraid or are trying to act as though they have a PHD. For me it’s real enough to enjoy the footage. Keyword: Enjoy. I am curious about those lights also Wes. Thanks

    • Ron S

      Hi Janetta,
We’re glad you’re here as a believer looking to gain knowledge and find the topic interesting. This is what we’re all here for, to hear each other out and make the best logical conclusions we can, separate the facts from the fantasy freaks, fear monger’s, fame seakers and false identifications.

I think it’s a good idea we clearly state our opinions as such when we comment so we don’t have people running around and rubbing their rears with sore assumptions.

You are 100% percent correct in saying that nobody (to my knowledge) has ever graduated with a PHD in Sasquatch.

I can guarantee you I’ve had my own personal experiences and that there are also more people other than myself that have indeed graduated with a PTSD in this subject though.

I personally feels like it’s a pretty valuable degree… I proudly display mine right alongside my diploma of a great natural education in wildlife that I earned growing up around heavy woodlands and waters as well as farmlands.

Like any good student I always try to look acceptable, be attentive and always going to school every day on the many different courses life has to offer, and I never want to be the bully to any of my classmates anywhere… Definitely not with you my friends here in Mr. Germers room… quite the opposite actually, I don’t take kindly to bullies or the bullying of anyone else.

I’m personally not saying there isn’t credibility to this story as God knows I’ve made snap judgements in the past and then got more information later that made me think twice. I’m always willing to hear the whole side of the story.

Wes knows as well I do that when it comes to people there are certain subtleties you can pick up on, to know if someone should be kept an eye on or not as potential trouble or a liar. So if he feels like there’s something to a testimony it is possible, not fact, just possible. Most of this stuff you really have to use your own intuition or sense.

We all have these kinds of instinctual gifts in different ways both naturally and those that we hone and polish though our various life experiences. I don’t expect Wes to always have the Swiss Army Knife to get straight to the truth, so if any of us have a multi tool to open a can of BS I think it should be acceptable to pass it around share it.

It’s a diverse group in here and I like it, but the fact is, not all of us are here to gather around the rabbit hole, hold hands and dance merrily around it while singing Kume-By-Ya for funzies (no offense).

Some of us are here to follow the rabbit turds into the hole. Some people actually smell and taste those nasty little nuggets to try and find out what that critter even ate… personally I think that’s gross, but whatever, to each their own.

I’m just looking forward to the day we eventually get that Wascally Wabbit… but there’s room for all in the meantime, most definitely😊
