A listener writes “My husband and I were visiting friends while in Maryland and one of his childhood friends told us about a time he saw a creature that sounds like a Sasquatch while he was mountain biking. This took place in carrol county Maryland near the reservoir.
He was riding his bike on a dirt trail in the woods. Between the trail and the tree line was about 20 feet and 30 or so feet further into the trees was a creature peeking behind a tree. It was super hairy and tall but not like those huge 8 foot + giants. He says it had no clothes on nor possessions with him/ her. He looked into its eyes and was in awe, confusion, disbelief and started peddling as fast as he could and got out as fast as possible.
He felt like they were curious about each other and checking the other out. He’s always felt like this was not human but was standing on 2 feet so it was no animal he’s ever seen. Let me know if you’d like to connect with him and I’ll put you in touch.

Curious when this happened. Carrol County Maryland does have a Bigfoot history. The Bfro has a report of this invololving the sort of famous Lon Strickler from his famous 1981 encounter and this case is far more involved than this Bfro report.

That’s a fascinating account- I believe I read about it in the carrol county sun times long after the report . Please share any other details about this one.
And the encounter above was in the 90’s (I submitted the story) probably mid to late 90’s.
