Dogman Narratives writes ” Based on True Story, The Melonhead legend, is based on a true story, that is part of Michigan’s urban legends and weird tales, has intrigued both Ohio and Michigan residents for years. Michigan, in particular, has its fair share of spine-tingling Melonhead encounters dating back to the 1970s. Also called the Wobbleheads.
One of the most iconic Melonhead sightings unfolded in the early 1970s, right in the heart of Holland, Michigan, at the infamous Felt Mansion. As local lore has it, this mansion was once home to a mysterious scientist whose experiments led to the peculiar transformation of their head into a melon-like shape. The scientist transformed the mansion into a hospital, perpetuating the unsettling Michigan urban legend.
According to the tale, these Melonheads were once patients of this peculiar hospital, eventually ejected into the nearby woods when the facility shuttered its doors. In the depths of the wilderness, they eked out an existence, occasionally glimpsed by passing motorists or unsuspecting campers.
Visitors to the mansion have reported eerie encounters with enigmatic figures lurking in the shadows. These figures sported disproportionately large, melon-shaped heads and eyes that seemed to emit an otherworldly glow. Some even claimed to have been haunted by the heart-wrenching sounds of children crying and screaming in the dead of night.
The legend of the Melonheads endures, drawing thrill-seekers and ghost hunters to the once-hospital-turned-mansion. This unsettling tale weaves itself into the rich tapestry of Michigan’s scary stories and urban legends, making it a must-know narrative for those who dare to explore the weird and mysterious side of the Wolverine State.
The Melon heads initially dwelled within the mansion itself before seeking refuge in a network of caverns nestled within a nearby hill—a remnant of an abandoned zoo
While these scary Melonhead sightings in Michigan have yet to be verified, they undeniably play a significant role in perpetuating the state’s urban legends and hair-raising scary stories. Whether you’re a skeptic or a believer, the enigmatic Melonheads have left an indelible mark on the folklore of western Michigan, casting a chilling shadow that extends far beyond its borders.”

I guess we’re back on the topic of water since my last comment… that didn’t take long.
I wonder if “Melonheads”(not the candy, oh wait, those are lemonheads, my bad) are actually in some cases just “off the grid” real children that suffered from something such as encephalitis.
If I’m not mistaken, I think most or all types of swelling within humans could be classified or basically described as trapped fluid or water 💧with the body.
Wes apparently knows about swelling currently and I’m sorry to hear that and hope he feels better soon. I’ve dealt with cavities, root canals, teeth being surgically removed because of splayed roots and even breaking my permanent front teeth off as a kid from a stupid accident riding my bicycle in the rain. Tooth pain is terrible, worse than back pain from my experience.
I’ve never had dental insurance in my life and paid my own way (on the cheap when I could) my latest total they gave me from the dentist after the overpriced xray was right around $36,000 to fix my teeth… I just about fell over.
I think I did a decent job fixing the front two myself with a dremel tool and a $20 repair kit off ebay…I’m being serious. (And no I don’t do drugs, I know what you’re thinking).
I brush twice a day but have a bad way with sugar in hot coffee and also sweets. Just bad enamel, bad luck and bad (meaning none) insurance. Had a few teeth pulled that I couldn’t do myself with a vise grips (ouch!).
I don’t think my smile looks bad yet though, but tons of little things gradually getting worse. But enough about me and the excess water in Wes’s head… let’s proceed, now that you’re fully aware that I don’t follow the norm, and stubborn as heck thinking I can do everything myself.
Like I commented on in the previous blog… What if water itself has consciousness, or that a higher power has the ability to command or speak to the water into doing it’s bidding? Sounds like it fits right in with the Holy Instruction Manual if I’m not mistaken.
What if swelling found in diseases and infections were actually personal attacks of the spiritual kind by way of water? Maybe we should keep our minds within our own MelonHeads open for the possibility.
Take Care everyone! And take care of your teeth the right way if possible😬
I hope my story makes people realize how thankful they should be if they have free or affordable healthcare.🌞🙏🏼
Everyone should have the freedom to smile.
