David Holley’s 1971 Encounter

Courts Griner Photography writes “Part of the video series I am currently working on called the Holley Creek Project. I have been documenting field research of the Timberline Bigfoot Group since 2005. This series is focused on the research done and the encounters researchers have had with undocumented bi-pedal walking primate most have described as a bigfoot.”

Yep. I can not believe the things we did outside in the woods in the 70’s. We just had no fear or sense of danger, I guess. I’m obsessed with the subject. It started in 2011 when there was a daylight sighting reported just outside the cemetery where my mother and grandfather are buried. I started looking for credible sites and was frustrated with the goofiness, and arrogance. Then, one day I stumbled upon Wes in the search and have been here ever since! I remember turning around and looking at my spouse and saying, Well, Finally! 🙂

m99 I also had no idea these creatures existed as my friends and I camped way up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire as teenagers back in the 70s. We carried 70 pound packs on our backs and went in on an old logging road up where there we no other people for miles around. We had so much fun even though it rained all weekend. I’ve mentioned it before but a friend asked us in the morning if we had heard something walking around our tents and he wondered out loud what had run its hand or something over the top of his tent. Well, we drank and did a lot of ‘things’ back in those days so most of us slept like the dead. Nobody else heard anything and we never took that trip again. I appreciate Wes’s work on this podcast. I came across it almost two years ago when I was painting our newly renovated bathroom. I’ve enjoyed it ever since. Great story tonight. I don’t know what I would have done if I’d heard huffing and growling in the situation this fellow and his friends found themselves in. It’ll be interesting to learn what he and his son find when they go back and visit this spot.

Get Theresa! Well, I’m an old hippie & couldn’t tell you the things we did! It was wild though. They probably thought, wow, dinner & a movie.

All kidding aside, glad we all survived!!!
