Just ahead of producing a new special for PBS releasing at the beginning of 2021 called Surviving Disasters with Les Stroud, I was working on setting myself up properly with various home supplies that I could film. Then the coronavirus hit and I see everyone panicking needlessly. So here you go – I put this together quickly to get some common sense information out there to empower us all in what to do next

You’re really going to try to bring politics into this? 2016 election butthurt alert.

Ok, so my boyfriend says listening to this is like listening to me! Wes, thank you for posting this video. We’ve lived like this for years. One thing I would mention, is to get several half pints of your favorite beverage 😉 because it can be used for disinfectant, barter, hot toddies, and for a plain ole good time while the world burns!

Thank you Wes and Les, excellent information. I do keep extra food here, but never thought of putting them the plastic boxes in case you have to leave, and we were told to leave twice in the past, and did leave during one of the fires. That fire the evacuation area was the old Chargers Stadium, which we were so lucky. Food, water, pet food, and other necessities were donated by local merchants, but if it hadn’t been, we could of been in trouble. I think I am going to invest in those boxes….again thank you both!

Great information and suggestions for planning ahead. Doing a little at a time and rotating supplies. Hope we never need to test these ideas. Prayers to all for safety, good health, and protection through Love and kindness that God offers each and everyone of us in Jesus. Thanks to Wes and Les.

Wes, lol if this was anyone but Less Stroud, I would say this feels Wes is adding filler lol, even if it is though, Less respectable guy and his input or opinion and even instruction is worth listening too. Lucky for us here in S.C. we get the benefits of Wes’s connects …….. because many would pay for Survivor man preparedness gouge. Wasn’t even mbr only. Big of you the show.

Good advice! Don’t forget about alcohol too….gotta have that to keep from panicking (it’s my anti-anxiety med)…also good for pain killing and sterilizing! 🙂
