Christopher Noel: The “Dogman” Phenomenon

Chris writes “Increasingly, the topic of “Dogman” is dominating the landscape of cryptid inquiry; it’s everywhere we look. What are the potential repercussions for the progress of Sasquatch research? Thanks to Kerry Arnold for bringing the effects of inbreeding to my attention.”

This is completely nonsensical. I’m not sure I even believe in Dogmen but for this guy to suggest we lump them in as just another variation of Sasquatch mainly because they don’t fit in the little box of cryptid identity he thinks they should and because he’s afraid they might confuse outsiders who don’t believe in any of this stuff is kind of ridiculous. 99% of Dogmen encounters I’ve heard describe clearly canine creatures. And that is not Sasquatch. You can’t lump them together as variations of the same creature type simply because it makes your “research” easier.

You know When you Can see if a person is telling the thruth Right?..like Mike wooley.

He told he was ATACK by a huge cat and it hurt him very bad,and he played dead,so it Walk away on TWO bended letsind was huge as a sasquatch.i saw the scars he had from he was Young and a older retired policeman from that time bellived him also.
I mean ..youcould just see that he was a very trired old man that dident had time for bullshit.and the eyes Said the thruth.

And if you believe that Sasquatch is another type of ape this makes sense. But their is waaaay to much weird stuff associated with this topic for that to be true. In fact no one at this point actually knows what it is or where it came from or how it got here. I’m sorry but people like this just sh*t me.

The only thing this guy discovered is how to make money on YouTube from sucker’s like us and how to bloviate as if he’s an authority on ….anything. I suggest we all collectively stop clicking on his videos and stop fueling his ego….he needs a new hobby.

Agree with you Christian. Quite frankly I have NO use for Christopher Noel and anything about him I generally choose to NOT click on. He is beyond doubt in my mind one of those despicable researchers who uses witnesses for money and doesn’t look back. Has he ever bothered to check back with any of his witnesses from Impossible Visits? If so I missed it. I won’t say anything else…he does indeed need a new hobby. Also as said above he is full of BS. People still pay attention to him.? Amazing. I also had him counted in as one of those asinine researchers “preaching” for “ friendly forest dwellers”. Yep, BS,BS and more BS from him.

I think he’s got a good point and everyone on this forum should be respectful of people who are trying to move the ball forward. We may not agree with their theories or motives but just may learn something new.

I concur Steve. I talk to friends, especially my biker buddies down at my friends Harley repair shop ( kind of like Floyd’s barber shop ) all the time. I have got these guys and gals a bit into the subject now and we have good discussions and have their respect. Also we talk about UFOs a bunch. If I was to talk about the Dogman to them or strangers I would loose all credibility. I am only speaking for myself.

I’m not very religious but what if these creatures are waiting for the release of the anti christ to reap the land in search of the people left behind? Like this gentleman said, there’s been a big increase in sightings of dogman creatures. Maybe it’s for a reason.

The gentleman has not researched this subject thoroughly enough.

There IS evidence and he ASSUMES that because it is called “Dogman” that it is the impossible inter-breeding between a “dog and a human”. Does make he this same assumption about “spider monkeys” (cross between a spider and a monkey), dogfish (between a dog and a fish), bottle-nose dolphins (a cross between an inanimate object and a dolphin)?

It is just a name and it has nothing to do with the creature’s origins just like the name of “spider monkey”, “glass lizard”, or “tiger shark”.

Werewolf has baggage as well because most people assume they are men turned animal.

Bipedal Canid, Unidentified Bipedal Creature, Unidentified Biological Entity/Creature would be better terms. But even at that – what is being called a dogman actually refers to 2 different types of cryptids, one being more primate like and the other canine. Kind of like if I said “dolphin” – is it the fish or the mamma?l – 2 creatures – same name.

I know of at least 2 instances where one has been killed and they did not turn into humans.
