I used to hunt Elk in an area of the Oregon Coast range known as God’s Valley. My best friends father introduced us to this area. It was a large farmstead in the middle of the Tillamook State Forest that had been abandoned to the state when the owner died in the 1940’s. All that was left were several large grass fields surrounded by dense forest. It was prime elk habitat as the elk would come down to the fields to graze at night. My friend and I noticed some strange things about the area while camping in the summer and hunting in the fall. There was an area about 1/2 mile from camp we referred to as the Dead Zone. It was a strange area that gave us bad vibes. The forest would be alive with game and game trails. Elk, pheasant, squirrel, coyote etc. Then almost like crossing a line painted on the ground there was an area about 1/4 mile long where nothing and I mean nothing, lived. No game trails, no squirrels barking, not even birds in the trees, no sounds, even the air was still. Then 1/4 mile later you would cross another invisible line and bam! The forest would be alive again. That was the Dead Zone.

September 30th 1994 I left work that Friday, packed then headed to God’s Valley for the Opening day of Coast Black tail Deer season. God’s Valley was not a real good area for deer but I was by myself and didn’t know any other a hunting areas very well. After driving for about 2.5 hours I left the blacktop and was on the logging roads. At the time God’s Valley was at the end of a dead end logging road 7 miles from the highway. During elk season there are dozens of camps and RV’s parked along the road and several down at God’s Valley. I was quite surprised that when I arrived to the valley at about midnight it was deserted and I did not see a single camp or RV the entire way in.

I pulled all the way into the large U shaped clearing. At the bottom of the U was a huge old growth Douglas Fir with a rock firepit close by. I parked about 30 feet from the tree and left my headlights shining on its base while I set up camp. I had Black Sabbath turned way up as I unpacked my truck. About 20 minutes later I was bent over setting up my dome tent when the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I turned my head and thought I heard a commotion coming from the woods. It was hard to hear over the music. I walked to the drivers door of my truck and turned the music down. I listened and heard nothing so I shrugged it off, turned my music up and went back to work.

A couple minutes later I distinctly heard a loud snap of a breaking branch to the left of my camp. I walked to my truck and turned my music off again. I listened intently for at least a minute then I heard a very light rustle of leaves and a twig snap. The sound came from the woods on the other side of a 50 foot long blackberry bush that ended just short of the big old growth tree. About a minute later I heard another soft footfall. Then another. At the time it reminded me of my own sounds when quietly stalking game through the forest. For some reason I thought it was another hunter or someone playing a joke. I called out “Hello, someone there?!” Silence, nothing. About another full minute later another couple of soft crunches. There is a game trail on the other side of the blackberry’s. Whatever is making the sound is on the trail and slowly coming closer to where the blackberries end at the base of the tree.

By this point Im getting nervous. Maybe it’s a drunk hunter playing games but Im by myself 7 miles into one of the thickest forests in the US. I was carrying a revolver in a shoulder holster. My rifle and speed loaders were cased and underneath a ton of shit behind the seat.

I drew my revolver and yelled “Hey quit fucking around, I got a gun and this shit ain’t funny!” No response, nothing. I figured I would either hear a man running away, busting brush of an animal running or something but there was only silence. About a minute later I can hear more creeping steps along the trail. It’s get closer to the gap between the blackberries and the tree. Perhaps 30 feet away now. My headlights are shining on the bottom of the tree but I still can’t see anything.

I made the loudest most guttural scream I could muster. I could hear it echo through the valley. More silence. A minute later more quiet stalking footsteps. Im 6’3, 260 lbs. It sounds like a man my size or better trying to be quiet. Two legs? I see a large shadow move into the gap and behind the tree. The tree is about 5 feet wide. I am now scared for my life. I fire a round high up into the tree. The gunshot echoed for a long time. I saw part of a tall shape and yellowish eyes peer at me from behind the tree. I screamed as loud as I could and fired two more shots into the tree. The shots echoed for along time then silence. I didn’t see it anymore. I stood there waiting. I had 2 or 3 shots left. I wasn’t sure. After about half a minute it just walked away into the woods. It was no longer trying to be quiet but it wasn’t in a hurry. It just walked away into the darkness. I listened for a couple minutes until I couldn’t hear it anymore. I picked up my entire set up dome tent, threw it in the back of my truck. I threw my pots, pans and cooler and everything else on top. I was out of there and back on the gravel road 90 seconds later.

I drove the 2 and ½ hours back to Portland shaking. I arrived at my friends house at about 3 in the morning. I woke him up and told him what happened. The next afternoon we packed several rifles and drove back. I had to show him and see if we could find anything. It looked much different in the daylight. We parked at the base of the tree and looked around. On the trail behind the tree we could clearly see it’s prints in the soft earth. It’s prints were almost half again as large as my size 13 boots. The footprints were so far apart that I had to stretch my legs as far as they would go to match the stride.

Since then I no longer go into the forest alone

I had never really known much about Sasquatch growing up. I remember seeing the Patterson Gimlin film and hearing the term Bigfoot a few times but that was the extent of my knowledge. That would all change.

My father was in the Army and after moving all over the world, we ended up at Ft. Lewis Washington at the end of 1977, I was 15 at the time and I had always loved the woods and forest and I was in heaven there. My friends and I would go out and hike different areas, and explore where ever we could.

Looking back in retrospect, there were many incidents that at the time seemed inconsequential, things such as rock throwing, wood knocking, hearing strange vocalizations and one time seeing two dark figures seemingly walking across a meadow but the distance was fairly great so I thought nothing of it.

In the fall of 1978, just after my 16th birthday, me and a friend were out and decided to check out around Lewis Lake, the day was fairly uninteresting, a few critters but nothing spectacular. We were heading southwest on some trails that lead towards the river. The trail was maybe 9 to 10 feet wide, pretty wooded on the left and a sparsely wooded incline leading to a tree line on the right. We were joking and cutting up when I caught a scent of something God awful, it was a very musky stench of sulfur and wet dog mixed with the local land waste. We heard a loud snap as if a tree branch was being broken. Very soon after about 30 to 40 feet ahead and left, a massive Dark brown figure stepped out on to the trail. We both were frozen in our steps. With one step it was in the middle of the trail, and my mind could not make sense of what this was.

I can remember it as clear as the day it happened, this was a very large creature, 8 to 8 1/2 feet tall, its body was massive and must have weighed 600+ pounds. It had turned to look at us, but it turned from the waist not the neck. It was completely hair covered except for the face area from the brow area to below the lower lip. The facial area was a grayish color skin, or may have been very short hair. The body was long thick brown hair of different shades, and various lengths. The face looked somewhat human, with a bit of a broader nose, and a wider mouth, and thick brow ridge. It had large eyes but I could not see any distinct color other then black. The shoulders were very broad and the head seemed to sit on the shoulders, the arms were muscular and seemed a bit longer then ours, not quite to the knees but very close, It had very distinct and visible fingers. The legs were very thick and muscular. This thing just looked powerful and it was very intimidating.

It only looked at us for a few seconds, but it seemed much longer then that. It never showed any sign of aggression but rather let out what to me was a grunt, or breath of air, maybe it’s just in my mind, but it sounded like a sigh of disgust, as we were inconveniencing him. He then turned took one more step and had crossed the trail and walked up the hill on the right. We stood and watched him as he walked up reaching out on occasion grabbing trees on the way up, it never looked back once. Once it disappeared into the tree line, me and my friend looked at one another, and without saying a word we took off running towards home. We never discussed it with anyone else other then our parents. Only being 16, I didn’t want to be ridiculed by anyone, me and my buddy were just plain terrified about it, and he didn’t even want me to bring it up.

This is actually the one that most resembles what I seen, the color was different, but VERY close.

As a geologist working mostly in the western U.S., I’ve observed various unexplained phenomena over the years. Some of the strangest things I’ve heard of, second hand, of course, are tales told to me by my paternal grandmother – Aunt Bessie, as everyone called her.

One such story she told me sometime around 1955 concerned a large hairy creature she and her family observed sometime just before the First World War. I believe this incident occurred in 1916, well before the first documented California sightings of “Bigfoot” back in 1958. She and her family lived in East Texas near Sulphur Bottom, which is now under a lake, but in those days was a swamp, not too far from the Boggy Creek area of Fouke, Arkansas.

There had apparently been stories told of large, hairy man-like creatures in the woods and swamps of that region for many years. As she related this particular story, she, along with her mother and father and some combination of her many brothers and sisters, were returning home late one night from town, riding in a wagon pulled by two mules. It was summer. A full moon was at its zenith, and they’d just turned into the lane at the gate that led to their house. My grandmother said the first thing they noticed was that the mules stopped at the gate and seemed oddly disturbed. I can’t recall all the details, as she told this tale to me so long ago, but they first thought a snake or something might be spooking the mules.

Then a noise drew their attention to the east across a field to the edge of the woods. This noise was a high-pitched, eerie wail or howl. She said the moonlight was so bright that you could see almost as if it were day. As they watched the darker line of trees, “something” emerged from these woods and stood in the open field bathed in the summer moonlight. It was at least as tall as a man, probably taller, she said, and covered with long dark hair!

She said it didn’t seem to slump, but stood straight and erect, all the time howling and shrieking and motioning at them. When it started across the field, her father fired a shot at it with his rifle. It stopped cold, turned and fled back into the woods. After getting to the house, they noticed that all the dogs were cowed and hidding under the porch, not barking. The whole family spent a nervous night, but nothing more approached the house, nor did they hear anymore of the unearthly howling.

Over the next several days, her father, brothers and many neighbors hunted through the woods for any sign of this thing – hair, blood, any indication that it might have been wounded. But nothing was ever found. This story is but one of many told over the many years about that area of East Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana where large “Bigfoot” or Sasquatch-type creatures are rumored to lurk.

I, being retired, live in those same gloomy woods, further west from where this incident occurred, but near a wild and extensive bottomland with its own history of sightings. Although these woods have their share of eerie sounds and peculiar tracks found near the old farmhouse, I have never observed anything of that nature myself

– Doyle

Back in the late 1970s, my parents purchased an old farmhouse that was built in 1880 in a town called South Kortright, NY. The house sat on seven acres of a beautiful valley in the middle of the Adirondack Mountains. The farmhouse was in disrepair when they purchased it, but over the years they fixed it up into a very comfortable weekend and summer retreat from the urban bustle of the New York City area, where we lived. The trip took three and one-half to four hours every Friday night, but my sister and I didn’t mind it at all.

SD_BF-Window-WatcherOne night, after we arrived at approximately nine at night, my sister and I sat at the kitchen table eating sandwiches for dinner while my parents had cocktails in the front living room. The kitchen was at the rear of the house and the windows faced a drop-off in the property which ran down to a clear running stream. As I was eating my dinner, I was gazing out the window. It was a dark, overcast and moonless October night. As I turned my head from facing my sister, I looked out the window, which was twelve feet from where I was sitting, and there, illuminated from the light spilling out of the kitchen, was a huge, ape-like face staring back at me. It had a broad, wide face, with no discernable neck and shoulders that spread out beyond the four foot wide window.

The brow of the creature was heavy and I do not recall any expression on the creature’s face. It was clearly and most obviously a Bigfoot, but what was different from any description that I had heard before about a Bigfoot was that the hair of this creature was more orange-like, not brown or black. At this point I yelled and motioned to the window and my sister turned and saw the creature as well. We both yelled for my parents, but when they got there, the creature was gone.

My father and I took flashlights and went outside to look for it, but the ground was too hard due to a cold autumn that year. What we did realize, however, was that the creature would have to be over nine feet tall for its face to be visible through the window at the kitchen, since the basement level was exposed at that part of the house, as the farmhouse was built into a hill. My parents never believed my sister and I, especially since the color of the beast was orange, but about two weeks later we read a local paper in which a farmer said he spotted a big hairy creature breaking into his henhouse and stealing chickens. The color of the creature’s hair? Reddish orange?

Calvin Bothers was driving near Waccasassa Bay Preserve when he pulled off the road to relieve himself.  He walked about 50 yards from his pickup to do his business behind a tree, keeping an eye on the road.  Just as he finished with his duty, he heard something that caught his attention.

The noises were coming from farther off the road.  The noises were a cross between a cow chomping its cud, a pig rooting, and a dog gnawing on a rawhide.  Thinking that he was about to see some wild boar or other large creature, Bothers sneaked toward the noises’ location.

thJust as he leaned around a big tree, he gasped loudly.  Sitting on a broken stump just a few feet away from him was a large Bigfoot biting large bones in half.  Bothers recalled the terrible stink of the creature more than any concern for his personal well being.

Bothers watched the monster gobble a few thick white bones, before he felt he was going to vomit from the powerful odor.  Bothers carefully turned around and quietly made his way back up the hill toward the road.

The year was 1990. My brother and I were canoeing on Lake George in New York. As we paddled down a small stretch in the water, we came into an area where enormous boulders and cliffs covered each side of the bank. That’s when something caught my eye about 30 yards away on the opposing bank. It looked like a small man standing upright with its arms at his sides. But it had no clothes and was covered in light brown fur. It was also extremely skinny, like what an adolescent boy would look.

zzzzIt was staring off down the river, looking away from us. My brother immediately stopped chatting, so I knew he had seen it, too. We just sat there, watching it as the current slowly carried us closer. Suddenly, the creature, or whatever it was, turned its head and looked directly at us, as if it had known we were watching it all along. I must say, this have me a chill. The features on this thing was like one I have never seen before. It had enormous yellow eyes — biggest eyes I’ve ever seen on a mammal ever. The nose was like you’d see on a meerkat or lemur, and it had this big, crazed grin on its face.

With the sun setting and dusk rapidly approaching, I couldn’t tell if the fur had markings that just looked like it was “grinning” at us or if that’s what it really was doing. It was quite eerie, let me tell you.

This five-foot-tall creature, standing at the edge of the bank, with its head cocked over its left shoulder, just SMILING at us. We must’ve stared at one another for over ten minutes when suddenly without any sort of warning, this creature slowly turned and began climbing sloth-like up an old pine tree to its right. When it reached the first and biggest branch, it scooted into the crook of it and perched there a minute to give us one last icy stare.

The current had drifted us past it at this point, so we paddled back around, all the while staring back at this thing with wonder. The creature eventually broke the stare and bent its chin down into itself, almost becoming invisible. The setting sun made everything look dark on the bank and we had to strain our eyes and probe the darkness to try to figure out where exactly the creature sat. Its fur blended perfectly with the surrounding tree. You wouldn’t even have known it was there if you hadn’t seen the face first.

Tired from paddling and feeling a bit apprehensive about what we had just witnessed, my brother and I opted to head home. So we did, but I must say this: a couple of weeks later, I caught some news that two girls who had been swimming at Lake George saw something they called “Monkey Boy” jumping from tree to tree. I wonder if it was the same creature we saw… or there is perhaps a whole colony of these things living among us?

The show has been released early to members. Look in the podcast section. Next weeks show will be BIG as we return from our trip from a location that is hot right now with activity. I plan on coming back with video and audio.

Witness Account:

1991, Washington State a friend and I borrowed another friends truck, skipped school and went bass fishing. It was about 3:00 in the afternoon when we decided to head home.We were driving down a gravel road that connected with the main line logging road. As we approached the main line road we noticed this creature to the right. It was about 80 yards away, and it started moving away from us very fast. The creature disappeared around a bend in the road about 125yards away.We sat there for a half a minute looking at each other in disbelief. Then we took off down toward where he went around the bend. When we got there the creature was about 200 yards down the road.It looked back towards us and went into the brush. When we got down there we shut the truck off and could hear rustling brush for about 20 seconds, but we couldn’t see it.That was that.I grew up my whole life out in the woods, hunting, fishing, and hiking.I know all the animals in the area well,we know what we saw.It was unbelievable,we were close enough to get a good look at it.I was 18 at the time, now Im 36 and i can still see its face, its body, and its walk. The creature was at least 7′-8′ tall, with long brownish red hair. It was a Sasquatch for sure. We never really talked about it to many people. All I know is these things are out there.

Additional Information:

jesse_Sasquatch-photo_thBoth young men were very upset. The friend of the witness was the most frightened. The witness said that his friend was terribly upset and disturbed by the incident for a long time. He has since lost contact with his friend.

The witness was able to provide good description of what he saw. The first thing he noticed was the sheer massive size. The build was bulky. He said it was at least eight feet tall. Its shoulders were four feet wide (he is in construction, and compared the size to the width of a sheet of plywood…good comparison).

He said that the head was cone shaped, but not pointy. It had no neck and he could see the trapezium muscles connecting the shoulders to the head when it turned to look back at them. The head was large, and the face was black skinned. The mouth and lower jaw area was between 10-12 inches wide. Its face was more round shaped than oval. The upper legs were thick, and then thin below the knee. The bottoms of the feet he said were of particular note because they were light tan colored, in contrast to the rest of the creature. The arms were long, and the hands extended almost to the knees. The hands were black skinned. Its hair was 3-4 inches long. It was dark brown with some reddish tint. He was not able to get a look at its eyes or nose due to the distance.

I asked him how it walked. He said that it walked fast, but did not run. It walked with knees that were always bent. It walked very smoothly. Its posture was slightly bent forward.

This man, who is 36 now, lives in Montana. He is a life-long outdoorsman who has harvested deer, elk, and bear. He would not mistake a bear for this creature. His knowledge of the wildlife makes his observation reliable.

I would like to tell you something about where I grew up in Northern Oklahoma on a farm in the 1960s and ’70s. The location is somewhere west of Interstate I-35 in the northernmost part of Oklahoma. It was a very wooded area.

My uncle, who had lived in the area all his life, told a story about how when he was about eight or ten years old, he was going out to the outhouse one cold winter night (they didn’t have indoor plumbing in the old house yet) and said that as he tried to open the outhouse door, there was something inside it, preventing it from opening. My uncle said he was sleepy and cold and just wanted to do his business and be done with it and get back into the warm house, so he pushed his way into the outhouse with a bit of force. He was suddenly confronted by running right into a huge, stinking, hairy creature.

He first told me this story before I was aware of Bigfoot, and I don’t think he was ever aware of such things. I don’t recall the Patterson footage being general knowledge around there at the time, and I was curious about all things weird and wonderful and read up on the paranormal as often as I could.

Anyway, what he described back then now today seems like a pretty average description of a Bigfoot creature. He said he just bumbled face-first right into this wall of stinking fur (said it “smelled like a dead pig”) in the mostly dark outhouse and not knowing what was going on (there aren’t any bears around there) he looked up and saw a huge wide-eyed “monster face” staring back at him. My uncle let out a terrified scream (as you naturally would, being a kid in such circumstances) and said that the “thing” screamed back at him at the same time, seemingly equally frightened, and then it shoved him out of the way onto the ground and stepped over him and started running away across a nearby pig pen toward the woods and the river beyond.

My uncle says he was sat there on his butt on the ground screaming in fear and watching this big ape-like thing running away. It was a sort of comedy story when you envision a little kid and a Bigfoot frightening the bejesus out of each other in an outhouse, and I always loved that story and sometimes asked my uncle to tell it again because he’d be so animated when he did.

He said he ran back into the house screaming about “monsters” and woke everybody up. My grandmother confirmed this with a grin when she was still alive, and the whole family remembered the incident well. My uncle absolutely swore this was a true story, and years later, after learning about Bigfoot, it gave the story more credence to me. My uncle died many years ago, but his wonderful comic/horror story is still fresh in my mind because of the way he told it with wide eyes and an excited voice, even when he was an adult, and his absolute insistence that it was true.

Some years later, I had two Bigfoot encounters myself near there, but I won’t go into that here, as this is getting a bit long, but I will tell you of them at another time.

Witness Observation

10845746_780581442022255_5611081620895834445_oA hairy bipedal creature carrying a calf or deer carcass over its left shoulder crossed the road from East to West, approximately 150 yards in front of my pick-up truck during a brief rain storm. A part-time rig hand with me in the truck also witnessed the creature. The following day we found several partial footprints along the creek bank on the West side of the road. We lost the tracks after 10-15 yards in the dense undergrowth.

About 7-8 feet tall, thin and lanky weighing approximately 400 pounds. It was covered in what appeared to be dark brown or black hair, it was carrying a deer or calf carcass over its left shoulder which obstructed a clear view of its face. I had a sighting about thirty years ago in Nebraska which is posted with the BFRO. This creature was much thinner and not as robust as the creature I encountered in Nebraska. The stride was distinctly non-human.

Additional Observations

We had been working on my oil well servicing unit pulling a well, I had a part-time rig hand with me and we were returning to Tulsa, we avoid working on the rig during storms and lightning.

The usual country “hocus pocus” and local boogieman folklore, although there is a posting on the BFRO website for Muskogee County, Oklahoma, that incident is within a few miles and on the same Cloud Creek drainage basin, in Western Muskogee County, Oklahoma.

A creek where the creature crossed the road and a Federal WPA water impoundment a 1/4 mile to the West.

This is a mature oil field in a sparsely settled agricultural and ranching environment, there are lots of coyotes, bobcats, badgers, owls, whippoorwills, snakes, and assorted country critters. The entire area is composed of small working cattle operations around a half section or so in size. The area is rolling hay meadows with section line roads every mile or so, with the occasional blind section. The area the creature came from is owned by one of the larger landowners (now deceased), and is less developed than the adjoining acreage. The area it crossed into is perhaps the most inaccessible acreage in the region.

Time and Conditions

4:00 pm. Gusty winds with a squall line of brief heavy rain.

Witness Observation

Driving south on Indian Nations Turnpike about 4AM with light fog/drizzle (wiper blades/intermittent). I was approaching the bridge over the Canadian River and slowed due to patchy freezing drizzle. To the right side of the road (before the sign), I saw a figure on the outer side of the guard rail. I thought it was a deer at first, but as I got closer, it shielded its eyes from my headlights. I was traveling about 20 mph. It was standing upright, tall and thin, reddish-brown matted hair with some lighter skin showing through at the chest. What stands out from my memory, was the tangled hair hanging from its arm while it covered its eyes from the lights. It did not look like the “bulky” muscular artist’s renditions of “Bigfoot”. There was no other traffic as I approached the bridge. I am the world’s biggest skeptic but the sighting left me shaken. I am not sure what I saw. There was fog and it was approximately 20 feet from the car as I passed.

Time and Conditions

4:00 am – Dark, fog/drizzle.

Additional Information

11111Approximately nine miles due south of the Toll Complex, while approaching the South Canadian River bridge, the witness reportedly saw a patch of color up ahead on the right side of the road; she said the color was reddish-brown. She stated that she often looks for deer and sees many along this stretch while making the trip with her husband. I can attest to this, as I have seen deer in this area for years myself. As she closed on the object she realized that it was too tall to be a deer, and it became clear that it was standing upright on the outside of the guardrail. As she slowed, the subject ahead apparently was raising an arm to shield its face from the headlights, which were on high-beam.

She described the subject as being as tall as a basketball player, seven feet in height and very thin and “skinny.” She added that its arms were out of proportion to the rest of its body; they were longer than what she was accustomed to seeing in humans.

The subject had shaggy, matted rolls of hair that hung from its arms as well as the rest of its body; the witness was emphatic that it looked like hair and not fur. The witness stated that the hair looked like dreadlocks, only much shorter; they appeared similar to clumps of matted hair on a dog. She also said that there was a contrast between the hair and the skin on its chest and the abdominal area, which she described as “flesh-toned” and devoid of any hair.

The witness recalled that as she began to pass the subject, it just stood there, stationary and motionless, as if it were waiting for her to pass so it could perhaps cross the road. As she passed within twenty feet or so, she slowed down to twenty miles-per-hour or less and looked over her right shoulder, but could no longer see it as it was out of the view of her headlights. She did not see it again from this point.

The witness then told me that as she drove forward, the hair on her neck stood up and she felt nauseous. She consciously told herself that she did not see what she had just seen; she didn’t believe in that sort of stuff.” She continued on to her destination and did not tell anyone until she returned home late that evening and told her husband and son about the incident. She recalled that her husband laughed and made fun of her, but her young son thought it was “cool.” Over the weeks and months after the sighting she continued to be bothered by this incident.

The witness described the subject as looking both ape-like and human, and that there was no doubt in her mind that what she saw was a real animal. She grew up in southwestern Louisiana and has heard stories all of her life but always assumed they were just made up.

Witness Observation

I was camping with school buddies and a college professor in the Angelina National Forest. We saw a bigfoot. We were camped about five miles down a logging road. The professor that was accompanying us turned in a report to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. They wrote it up as an unidentified sighting. I will be more than willing to discuss the sighting.

Time and Conditions

2:00am – Wooded areas, streams nearby.

Additional Information

1535439_200772103453771_863947119_nThe witness remembered that he was camping with a group of 10 students from Stephen F. Austin State University along with their professor. The witness indicated that around 2:00 a.m. the group heard something circling the camp; whatever it was sounded large and heavy. The group had a campfire lit and a Coleman lantern was burning.

The witness said that after a while, four of the students, including him, decided to check out what was making the noise. They walked into the woods carrying flashlights and suddenly spotted something standing behind a tree. All four shined their flashlights on the object and out came a large upright figure from behind the tree.

The subject was standing on two legs. It appeared to be approximately five feet tall, and was a light color. The upper part of the animal was stocky. The witness estimated its weight to be around 250 pounds.

The witness stated that he and the others looked at the subject for five seconds. The witness remembered how the subject was standing still and looking into the flashlights. Then he recalled how it suddenly jumped from a standstill, twenty feet over a ditch, and kept running. The witness said it was amazing how the animal jumped.

There was no doubt in their mind, that what they had witnessed was a bigfoot. The four young men were astonished and were very frightened.

The four went back to camp and woke up the others including their professor. They explained what just happened. The group decided to spend another two days in the area.

The accompanying professor contacted the US Forest Service; rangers came out to investigate. When the students questioned the rangers about these types of animals, the Rangers response was, “We?ve had reports before.”

Apparently the rangers and the students found footprints. The students left and came back with casting materials in order to cast one of the footprints. The print they cast had three toes and a nub for the fourth toe.

Tonight we speak to Tom from Ohio who had an encounter with a Sasquatch while bow hunting. Tom was on the fence prior to his encounter in his belief if these creatures were real. He was shocked by what he witnessed.

We have some big things coming up. We are planning a trip to one of the hottest places in the US in hopes to bring back some content for you guys. We will be filming in HD and recording audio while we are there. We are planning on doing a few shows on location as it happens.

Tonight I hope everyone enjoys Toms encounter, on Sunday we will be speaking to a witness from Ohio who has activity that reminds me of The Siege of Honobia, so look for that show this Sunday.

My son and I was driving down FM1008 (Kenefick) heading towards our road hwy 321. It was about 11PM. I was driving around a curve and it was just there. His face was as tall as the speeding sign that he was standing next to as if he was crossing the road. If I was 20 seconds later I would have hit a man that had hair covering his whole body except I could see his mouth and nose with no hair; the eyes were pretty clear of any facial hair also. He “looked” upset. Clearly not sure what it was that my son and I saw but it was a man like being that was as tall as the street sign. My headlights reflected off the sign as this thing turned his face to see us and we see him. It was practically in my windshield. I would have hit him if I had not swerved.

Time and Conditions

11:00 pm – It was 11pm and a clear night. The Trinity River is in the area of 1008. They have pine and swampy areas

Additional Information

1As the two were heading back to their home, they rounded a turn in the highway. The mother told me that she was turning a little wide for the curve and nearly ran off the road. As this happened, both witnesses saw the subject by the sign. Mother was struck with fear and “freaked out,” as her son described it. Son was amazed and tried to convince his mother to instantly turn around. Mother would not have it. Even though the sighting lasted only seconds, the mother had seen enough. She steadfastly continued down the road, away from the mysterious figure.

Both witnesses described the subject as being at least as tall as the sign by which it stood (perhaps eight feet tall). The color was described as auburn and the subject was covered with hair on all but its face. The witnesses described its face as appearing “upset and angry,” or that the creature had a “mean look on its face.”

The witnesses further described the subject as “muscular,” “big-boned,” and “too hairy for a man, but too human for an animal.” The “knees appeared bent” and the subject seemed to have “a basically round head.” The witnesses, who estimated their speed at fifty miles per hour, could not discern any details about hands or feet. The figure did appear to be “somewhat squatted.”

Both witnesses are not sure what they saw, but they are sure that they had never seen it before and have since not seen anything like it. The mother said that it “scared the livin’ hell” out of her, and that it was “awfully ugly.” She went on to say that she used to date a large man who was six feet four inches, but “he was a midget compared to that thing.”

Luke Melba was hiking around Lake Wappapello when he heard some strange noises up ahead of him.  He figured the grunting and hooting came from excited teenagers having a bit of a romp in the woods.  But as he approached and the noises increased in volume and intensity, Melba began to doubt his conclusion.

imonacanWhen he heard the bark scraping, like a dog trying to run on polished hardwood floors, Melba knew that there was an animal or animals out there.  Possibly several attempting to climb a tree to escape detection.

Melba stepped off the path to investigate. A few yards into the woods, he claims that he saw a large blonde hairy Bigfoot halfway up a large tree. He stood and watched as the creature labored upward. Luke Melba recognized the massive body and long limbs as a Bigfoot immediately.  While he never believed in the existence of the monster prior to this sighting, he has spent the ensuing years attempting to contact the creature.

His wife appreciates having so many weekends free as Luke joins other Missouri Bigfoot enthusiasts in organized hunts.

Witness Observation

z01996 traveling from Pineland, Texas. We cut over to highway 59 in order to go into downtown Houston to a gun show that was at the convention center that day. I’m not sure the exact location but know it was still far north of Houston on 59 probably between Lufkin and Cleveland somewhere. My ex-husband, stepson (12 yrs. old) and my baby boy (about 7 months old) were also in the car. All of a sudden up ahead and to the right of the highway a creature about 4 foot tall came running out of a wooded area diagonally, down a grassy slope and ducked into a pipe under the road. Everyone in the car who could talk said at the same time “What was that?!” I quickly looked and noticed that the highway was divided in the middle by a grassy area but on the other side of the North bound lanes was a pipe that came out by another wooded area on the other side of the highway. My thoughts were that it used it to travel back and forth. The creature ran completely upright on two legs, with dark brown hair flowing back in the wind as it ran very fast.

The hair seemed to only be long in certain spots, maybe up to 4-5 inches or so. I could not tell any further details of its face because it was angled away from the car. I only know it wasn’t human and it was covered with brown hair.

Physical Evidence

I wish I would have reported it when it happened because there might have been evidence in that pipe. I regret that I’ve waited so long, but didn’t know you guys were out there to talk to. It truly is one of those things I’ll always remember….didn’t realize there were so many sightings by other people!

Sounds

Did not hear anything. We were inside the car. Its intention was clearly to get inside that pipe as fast as it could.

Time and Conditions

Between 9 and 10 am. – Clear morning. Wooded.

We have several shows planned for our members this week. We spoke to a hiker who had a Sasquatch run out in front of him from behind a tree. The witness describes what he saw and how it moved. We are also looking to do Into the Abyss a call in show with Will on Wednesday night. Sundays show might be extended show. I spoke with a witness last night who had activity on his property two years in a row.

matt-moneymaker-returns-to-the-sAlvin Carter and his brother Jamie and their father Frank had spent the day hunting in Dragon Run Forest. They did not come across any game all day. Frank seeing the disappointment in his son’s eyes, came up with a novel solution. He went into their cooler and set up  row of soda pop cans along a fallen tree.

Then he let the boys take turns shooting at the cans. The younger boy, Alvin, was a much better shot than his older brother Jamie. After Alvin hit three of the six soda cans lined up, Frank told Alvin he had to let his brother hit the other half.

While Frank helped Jamie with his accuracy, Alvin grew bored watching his brother miss the targets. Alvin started looking through the sight on his rifle, scanning the scrubs behind his father and brother. Just as he was about to put the gun down and ask if they could head home, he saw something that totally startled him.

He saw two red eyes staring at the trio. Alvin figured the eyes to be about 35 yards from them. Alvin tried to get the attention of his father, but was only answered with annoyance. Alvin watched the red eyes watch them. Then he clearly saw a Bigfoot stand up, shake itself like a dog, and walk off in the other direction.

No amount of trying could convince Alvin’s brother or father of what he saw. Plus Alvin was warned that if he mentioned it to his mother, Alvin would not be allowed hunting ever again.
