A listener writes “I just started listening to your show about a month ago so I’m pretty new to the whole Sasquatch world. It’s something that has always been buried in the back of my mind since 2009 when I seen one cross the road.

In September of 2009 I was driving back to school in Huntsville TX. I’m from a small town in the DFW area so it’s a 3 hour drive south down 45. I was a student at Sam Houston state for 3 years so during that time I travelled back and forth twice a month, which is a lot of miles. I would always drive back to school on a Sunday night, so this happened around 930pm.

Sam Houston state is right on the edge of Sam Houston national park and you drive through some of it aka the piney woods once you pass Madisonville. Both sides of the interstate are covered in dense pine trees that go on forever…

I was traveling south on 45 about 25 miles north of Huntsville in the right lane, it’s 2 lanes going in each direction and I seen this massive dark creature walk across both lanes going from west to east with what looked like a raccoon in his right hand.

He crossed both lanes in a quick stride and walked into the trees. This whole moment lasted about 5 seconds… I had no idea what to think or realized what I just seen. It’s something that I have only shared with 1 person. I haven’t even told my wife.

Anyhow, just thought I would share my story.”

A listener writes “I was working as an HVAC Tech but was still learning the ropes and was being introduced into what being on call was like- long story short a coworker picked me up one night and we went up towards northern western Massachusetts for a no heat call.

After spending some time in the basement with the hatchway doors open, my coworker went outside to use the bathroom and I followed him out to catch some fresh air and get something from the van. He goes out maybe 30/40 yards so the home owner doesn’t see so he’s pretty far from me. A few minutes pass by and as I’m sitting in the van (on my phone) I hear something walk up towards the van.

After this thing had come up to the van with be sitting in it for over 10 minutes, there was a crack in the back door of the van so it wasn’t open completely but you could see through about 3-4 inches. This thing made eye contact with me with 1 eye. Stood there for about 10-15 seconds and then blinked. After a few more seconds this thing took off incredibly fast after hearing some noise come from the open basement door.”

A listener writes “I’ve been a longtime listener and love your podcast. I had an encounter a few years back roughly 2014 in Mission, British Columbia.
I was house sitting with a now Ex- girlfriend. We were house sitting on a small hobby farm, a sheep, a couple goats, horses, chickens and 2 dogs.

My girlfriend had left for work fairly early in the morning, so I was left to feed the animals and take them out into the field. All of the animals were acting rather strange, and at the time I thought nothing of it. Later on that night around 9:00, it was dark out, and the 2 dogs were inside with me, and one of the dogs bolted for her crate, I thought it was odd because usually we had to use treats to get her in the crate at night, while the other dog avoided all eye contact with the window that faced the garage across the driveway.

So I walked over and looked out that window, and saw the silhouette of something, it was bipedal, every bit of 9 feet tall. I saw it from the side so I couldn’t tell how wide it was, but it walked in front of the garage, and I could tell that it was hairy from the silhouette.

My first instinct was to grab a flashlight and run out on the back deck and shine the light where I saw it, and I saw no trace of whatever it was. It made no sound, I didn’t smell anything that stuck out, keeping in mind I was on a farm so it never smelt great anyways. I went out first thing in the morning to check on the animals, everything looked like it was in order, I saw no tracks.”

Nearly two decades ago, an experiment floating high above Antarctica caught a weird signal. Designed to capture the radio spurts of cosmic rays falling from above, in 2006 the Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA) recorded a short pulse of radio waves from below  an event that looked like an upside-down shower of cosmic rays, not bouncing off the surface, but emanating from under the ice sheet.

The balloon-borne suite of instruments recorded a similar event in 2014, and scientists have been scratching their heads ever since. No explanation quite fits, suggesting that the culprit could be a particle unknown to science.

“The radio waves that we detected were at really steep angles, like 30 degrees below the surface of the ice,” explains astrophysicist Stephanie Wissel of Pennsylvania State University.

“It’s an interesting problem because we still don’t actually have an explanation for what those anomalies are, but what we do know is that they’re most likely not representing neutrinos.”

The signal itself, a very brief pulse of radio waves, is very similar to what we might see from an elusive tau neutrino, but there are several reasons neutrino interpretation of the signal is difficult to resolve.

Scientists thought that such a neutrino may come from a supernova that then tunnels its way right through Earth and comes out the other side. However, only the 2014 detection coincided with a supernova that could be responsible – no such event was found for the 2006 detection.

In addition, the steep angle of the detection means that the neutrino would have had to tunnel through rock before emerging from the ice. Neutrinos stream through matter all the time; it’s what they do, and why we call them ‘ghost particles’. That’s not the problem.

What is a Neutrino?

“You have a billion neutrinos passing through your thumbnail at any moment, but neutrinos don’t really interact,” Wissel says. “So, this is the double-edged sword problem. If we detect them, it means they have traveled all this way without interacting with anything else. We could be detecting a neutrino coming from the edge of the observable Universe.”

To help solve the mystery of the upward-propagating radio pulses, a large international team of researchers made a careful study of data collected by the Pierre Auger Observatory in Argentina, designed to study high-energy cosmic rays. They conducted simulations to determine how the ANITA events might appear in the Pierre Auger Observatory data, and combed through the observations from 2004 to 2018, looking for similar signals.

They found nothing that explains the ANITA detections. However, in science, finding nothing often means finding something – even if that something is a narrower set of options.

In this case, it means that the scientists could confidently rule out neutrinos as an explanation for the signals. However, that doesn’t automatically mean we’re looking at a new particle, either. We’re going to need further observations, and hopefully new detections, to determine what it is that ANITA saw coming from the Antarctic ice.

ANITA is retired; its last flight took place in 2016. A new Antarctic balloon experiment called the Payload for Ultrahigh Energy Observations (PUEO), the successor to ANITA, is due to commence operations soon.

“My guess is that some interesting radio propagation effect occurs near ice and also near the horizon that I don’t fully understand, but we certainly explored several of those, and we haven’t been able to find any of those yet either,” Wissel says.

“So, right now, it’s one of these long-standing mysteries, and I’m excited that when we fly PUEO, we’ll have better sensitivity. In principle, we should pick up more anomalies, and maybe we’ll actually understand what they are. We also might detect neutrinos, which would in some ways be a lot more exciting.”

A listener writes “In 2019 outside of work for a year and a half hurt my back so I kept seeing this house for rent for like 2 years nobody was there no more 2 months at a time in Bullock North Carolina.

it was right across the road from a tungesn mine it was closed down and like the 1950s that was the actual name of the road that I lived on those tungsten mine road very secluded area and the mine was very dangerous place send me my wife 15 year old son at time and my daughter think she was about 7 moved into the house which it was a haunted house.

My wife and kids kept having experiences I didn’t believe him until I had there about 3 months when I seen something for myself there was coyotes all night long every night going crazy cuz I used to burn wood and stand out by the fire all night didn’t have anything else to do cuz I was hurt but I started hearing tree knocks some nights they were so loud no human could do it I made my son he was like 200 lb 6 ft in a tree with a baseball bat hard as he could nowhere near close to it and I used to go walking at the mine.

I seen footprints so finally one night at about 4:00 in the morning I seen the whatever you want to call it crossed the road and I was coming home is a real bad curve there so I was probably going about 20 miles an hour and it was actually going into the mine it moved weird like a freaking big ass Ninja and we made it eye contact for a split second.

I talked to a sheriff that’s been working there night shift in that county for 20 years and I had the balls one day to ask him did you ever seen anything weird and he told me I seen this I don’t know if it was the same creature but a creature right there where I seen it across the road at that he seen it to and a lot of other stuff he told me he seen at working the night shift like lights out in the middle of the field and then you pull out there and they shoot up in the sky it was also bear in the area I seen one day.

I told my wife she didn’t believe me so my neighbor delivered right beside me was about 80 I was like if you ever seen any bear it’s like yeah I seen one a couple years ago standing on the side of the road like what are you talking about standing on Saturday right where we live it was outside the road he said it was about 8 ft tall and it was standing on his hind legs so I’m thinking he seen something that he wanted to be a bear because the bear around there aren’t that tall like I said he’s 80 but that’s just a a touch of went on when I was living in that house and living across the road from that mine I’ve got all kinds of stuff to tell if you can contact me.

The house ended up burning down I was killing my wife I’m pretty sure I came away with some kind of negative attachment but the place had it all going on ghost Bigfoot it was just a weird spot but I think when I burn it outside at night but I actually went and tried to shoot the creature I didn’t tell my wife no one really that I saw the creature and said the sheriff it still works there for that county but I’ve got a lot of stuff that went on.”

Beyond Bigfoot: Uncovering The Deep Roots Of The Yukon Sasquatch

A listener writes “I’m from Washington State. I’ve been listening to your show for about 3 years now. It’s an amazing show and I love what you do. Anyways, let me get into my Bigfoot encounter at Mt. Rainer National Park. I have two different experiences…

My first experience was July 2019. My girlfriend (now my wife) wanted to go up to Sunrise within Mt. Rainer National Park to have a pic-nic and to go on a summer hike. We got there around 12 pm. We had lunch for about 30-45 minutes and then made our way to a trailhead. We started hiking. It was a beautiful sunny day. There wasn’t a cloud insight. It was 75 degrees. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.

While we were hiking, my wife and I didn’t see any other hikers on the trail. About a mile and a half in, my wife and I noticed that the forest went quiet. No wind, no birds chirping, just quiet… my wife and I both stated that this is weird and just kept on hiking. About 5 minutes pass and all of a sudden the hair on my neck and arm start to raise and it felt like I was being watched. I’m also getting goosebumps too. My wife was experiencing this too and we just shook it off and decided to keep walking. 5 more minutes pass and it’s still dead quiet. My wife and I stopped for a water break because we are probably 1.75 into the hike. All of a sudden while we were drinking our water we hear this very low tone growl that last for 5-10 seconds.

My wife and I just looked at each other like did we just hear that and it growled again for another 5-10 seconds. This grown didn’t sound like a bear, cougar, mountain lion or bobcat. It was a super low frequency growl that send chills down your spine. When my wife heard that, she said I think we should leave. I told her let’s just keep walking to see if it will do it again. My wife decided to keep walking with me. As we were walking, all of a sudden a rock the size of a golf ball gets thrown onto the trail in front of us.. I was like.. “hmm, it’s just just us out here… what could throw a rock the size of a baseball at us…’ there are no homeless people, no people on the trail that we’ve run into all day, what’s going on….’ I’ve always believed in Bigfoot growing up.

My moms side of the family lives along the coast of Washington near Montesano/Elma and many of them are farmers & log truck drivers. A few of them had experiences as well so I had an idea they existed, just never had an experience until this point. After the rock landed in front of my wife and I, I told my wife we should leave and just keep walking and don’t look back. We were probably close to 2 miles into this hike before we were walking back. While we were walking back, I could hear something on the ridge above me matching my walking pattern and stepping on twigs/branches. It was the most eerie feeling there was. If we slowed down at all, whatever was on that ridge slowed down too. As you said on the show before, I believe it was pacing us out to tell us to go home. It paced us out the whole way back out of the hike until we were about 50 yards from the entrance. When we got back, we just went straight to our cars and left the area and left the national park.

Second Encounter: My second encounter happened on May 2022 within Mt. Rainer National Park. My college friends from Clark Fork, ID came to visit us for a long weekend. We decided to go hiking in Mt. Rainer National Park. We went on May 28th 2022. This time around we went through the Paradise side of the park. We decided to drive all the way up to the Paradise Vistor Center first and work our way down the mountain. I remember that this was a very cloudy/overcast day with light rain, when we got to the top of Paradise, we couldn’t see the Mountain. There was sledding and tubbing but we didn’t want to do that. We were making our way down the mountain and pulling off the road to see different waterfalls, and go down these mini trails to overlook different valleys within Mt. Rainer National Park. As we continue to make our way down the mountain, we came across Steven’s Canyon Rd bridge that goes over the Nisqually River.

We decided to park our car on the side of the road and walk down to the bridge that overlooked the river. With it being May, a lot of the snow melt was melting off the mountain and coming down the river. I was trying to see if there were any animals I could see that were going to come out of the tree line or woods to get a drink of water. My buddy and I were looking down the riverbed for about 5 minutes and then all of a sudden I see this big black figure kneeling down on the river edge. We were about 300 yards away looking down the river when we saw this figure. It looked like he had his knees bent with his butt almost touching the ground . He was either drinking water or bathing himself because he would crouch, then stand up, crouch again and then stand up again. He did this for about 7 minutes. Meanwhile I pointed out to my buddy and I was like dude, do you see this right now or am I dreaming. It took him a little bit to find this figure but he found it and locked his eyes in it. I said dude, I think that’s Bigfoot and he said no it couldn’t be. Then after he looked at it longer he was like holy shit, I think that might be Bigfoot.

We didn’t want to make this a big public scene as we were on a bridge with cars going by and other people on the bridge. We just kept this to ourselves. 15 minutes pass and this figured got up again, and then started to walk south along the river. We followed him for another 2 minutes walking down the river until he went into another tree line/woods in the middle of the river and we couldn’t find him again. I remember the strides were long, the hair was black, and the legs/arms/torso were thick.

Once he was out of range, my buddy and I walked back to my car and we were speechless. We didn’t know what to say. The car ride back home was quiet. We finally started talking to each other once we got home and we were trying to make sense of what was that but we ultimately couldn’t. At first I thought it was a scientist doing stream surveys for the national park but in my head I was like , if it was a scientist, he would have been wearing a bright green/orange reflecting jacket , not a black jacket. Plus we were 300 yards away, he would have looked tiny. This creature was not tiny, it was massive. I eventually emailed Mt. Rainer National Park about this encounter. They responded back to me and stated they would forward my email to their wildness team. Ever since then, I haven’t heard back from their wildness team.

I haven’t shared this story with anyone. It has taken me a long time to get the courage to do this. I also took photos of this creature. I have attached all four. If you look closely, there might be another one north of the main one that I saw. At the time I didn’t see this but looking back on the photos, I saw this other creature. It looks like they are traveling down the river together but you can be the judge of that,

A listener writes “I’m a 74 year old veteran and family man, happily married for 54 years. Until recently, I had not personally encountered Sasquatch – I hadn’t seen, heard, or experienced anything that could be confirmed as such. I have always believed in the possibility of their existence but still with some doubt.

That is until Memorial Weekend, Sunday May 25, 2025. That afternoon my 51 year old daughter (who is a school teacher) and I were traveling east on Highway 12 from Morton, WA in my late model Dodge Ram 2500 truck. We were heading to a lodge in Packwood, WA.

As we drove, something caught my eye about 120 yards ahead of us on the south side of the highway.

In an instant I recognized the figure as what I believed to be a living Sasquatch. Later I realized there was an eight foot drop in elevation on the southside of the road which led to a natural drainage trough running parallel to the highway. That was why, when I first saw the creature it was only from the waist up until it finished climbing up on the highway. At first glance, I saw it quartering towards us with its long hairy arms extended from very broad shoulders, barrel shaped torso and a proportionately sized head hooded with the same thick black hair but could not see its legs. A second later I turned to my daughter and exclaimed “There’s a Sasquatch!!” Then I quickly refocused my eyes back on the creature, where I saw its whole left side, including its legs and the very defined thick shiny black hair that glistened in the afternoon sunlight. Then the creature continued to move swiftly toward the north side of the road. I sensed it was a younger Sasquatch, likely around 6 ft tall, stocky and fit before it vanished into the blind part of the curve in the road.

Eager to witness more, we began to accelerate heading towards where it had most likely disappeared into a patch of thick brush which included blackberry bushes and dense undergrowth. The terrain rose gradually for the first 100 feet before steepening. I believed the creature must have moved east behind the brush cover as there was no way it could have climbed further up the steep hillside or returned west without us seeing it.

Just 100 yards past our sighting, a mountain road branched off to the north alongside a broader drainage that passed by three homesteads. This road eventually led to an actively mined rock quarry about three quarters of a mile up this road from the highway. Beyond the quarry an old road continued but became overgrown and impassable for us in the truck, apparently funneling into a secluded valley beyond. We parked and listened for a while thinking this might be where the creature had gone. My daughter then wanted to walk about 200 feet down the overgrown road, still within sight to explore further. At the same time I remained behind, as I am partially immobile due to a back injury and awaiting surgery in July. In this spot she softly called out in a friendly manner, requesting a response which was met with immediate high pitched calls from multiple directions around us. They were similar to the sound a hunter makes to mimic an elk calf calling for its mother.

After repeating that sequence twice with corresponding answers we concluded our visit and continued on to Packwood, WA. Still, we felt compelled to return the next day so that my daughter could try to elicit another response. The next day we arrived at the quarry around 2:20pm and retraced our steps to where we had parked the previous day. My daughter again walked 200 feet into the area and voiced her request, receiving the same high pitched calls back from several directions each time. This time she recorded the sounds on her phone for clarity but immediately felt a feeling of dread and decided to end her visit making her way back to the truck without running.

Reflecting on this encounter it seems a creature like Sasquatch might choose a secluded place like our sighting location to travel from the broad Cowlitz River valleys to the foothills of Mt, Rainer. We believe there might have been more than just one. My experience of sighting it for the first time was akin to encountering any large wild animal for the first time-you know exactly what you are witnessing. Despite the heavy vacation traffic that day the creature appeared to have timed its crossing perfectly, taking advantage of brief breaks in the traffic from both directions. Interestingly, there were no vehicles between us and the creature as we approached from the west and none in sight coming from the east–until just seconds after the sighting when many cars drove by. At the same time we were parked on the shoulder of the highway next to where we saw the creature cross.

Looking ahead, I plan to investigate other documented Sasquatch crossings on Highway 12 and see if there is a pattern of creatures choosing to cross at curves in the road. I think this could provide valuable insights into their behavior and movement patterns. My daughter and I feel incredibly fortunate to have seen one of these elusive creatures in our lifetime, especially as joint witnesses to this truth.”

Yes, hummingbirds do sleep. They enter a state of torpor, which is a deep sleep-like state that helps them conserve energy, especially during cold nights. During torpor, their body temperature, heart rate, and breathing rate significantly slow down, allowing them to survive low temperatures and conserve energy.

Investigative journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp obtained and are revealing for the first time – military filmed footage of a UAP – officially documented and catalogued within Intelligence Community investigations as “disc” shaped.

This UAP of unknown origin displayed abrupt movement and intelligent control, with the absence of thermal propulsion signatures. Official designation of UAP was made by the United States Department of Defense. This designation is currently maintained.

EVENT DESCRIPTION – Filmed by a platform operating under the direction of the United States Air Force, the object was initially passively tracked and is described in official documentation as “navigating through the clouds.” The UAP appears to demonstrate an abrupt directional change. Atmospheric disruption was noted in case documentation – as was the absence of traditional thermal propulsion signatures during performance. Its origin, intent, and capabilities remain unknown.

Tmz writes “Anthropologist and “Expedition Bigfoot” star Mireya Mayor weighs in on a recent snap of Bigfoot being spotted in Upper Colorado River … but she tells us to hold the applause!!!

The internet has stirred up a new video of what looks to be like our never-before-seen mystical friend lurking through the woods of Colorado — a hotspot for Bigfoot sightings.

Observers claim the large, hairy hunk was caught walking around all by its lonesome, and shot a clear video of what appears to depict the secretive Sasquatch, and posted it online.

Check the clip … Mayor tells us that she was excited to see another potential sighting pop up … however, she is sad to announce that this ain’t our guy.

The National Geographic star goes on to explain that the beast’s bod in the video was way too human-like, and that Bigfoot’s ambulation would more closely match the movements of an ape … not so much like a man in a costume ready to wave back at us. And Mayor’s suspicious about why this mysterious creature would be hanging around an area without much visual cover to hide within.

Mayor advises future seekers — when verifying whether or not they have been lucky enough to be in the presence of the big-base baddie — to look for lower-to-the-ground mobility and sniff around for intense odor … after all, Bigfoot’s sometimes referred to by his “Skunk Ape” nickname.Even though the folklore lives on, when asked if we will ever get to see the large-tootsied troublemaker out and about in this lifetime, Mireya Mayor says it is bound to happen!!!”

Paranormal Portal: It Had To Be 9 Feet Tall

KBRO writes “During the 2015 Frazier Land Expedition, a few of us (myself in particular), experienced the encounter of a lifetime! Followed shortly thereafter by the disappointment of a lifetime.

Late one evening three teams met by a powerline cut. After discussing a game plan, one team walked off down the powerline cut, another team took a jeep down the main trail, while my team stayed at the powerline cut and began therming. My team had three thermals with us. After a while, Jim who was sitting to my left states rather calmly, “I think I have something here.” So I looked over his shoulder at his iPad and my heart immediately began to race! So I hit record on my thermal and the excitement began! We filmed “this creature” for almost 20 mins! TJ joined us with his thermal as well. So all three of us were filming it! At one point I mentioned, “It looks like it’s eating berries!” Another time, I complained, “I can smell it!” I believe someone dr said, “It looks like it’s waving its hand?” The intensity was building dramatically, so we radioed the other teams, “Come quick! We’ve got one on therm!!!!” At which point, the other teams raced to our position! Then “the creature” turned and began to hobble, bent-over out of the treeline, so of course I took a nervous step backwards and whispered, “It’s coming towards us.”

He snuck away from our group and stood on the main trail, so there were trees and brush between us. Lost in this story was the fact that Jeff had been watching “another” possibly real Bigfoot! He said after the team in the jeep drove up the trail, he saw an upright shadowy figure walk between two trees on the horizon! It did it twice! So, Jeff remained quiet because he thought we were watching the same thing, when in fact, we were watching Jeff! By the way, Jeff has a bum knee, so he walked a little slow and bent over. Another BTW, there’s a fireworks factory nearby, and I actually smelled sulphur coming up the powerline cut, not a supposed smelly Bigfoot!”
