From The Shadows writes “Lauran joins us to share his family’s stories about Bigfoot in Oregon in the early 1900s. He also shares a couple of his own experiences later in his life. Lauran then tells us about a couple of odd experiences he had while on the road as a salesman in the Southwest in the 1970s.”

Oregon Bigfoot A Family Tradition

Recently I have had guests on from our friends to the north. Many encounters come out of Alberta, Canada. Alberta has been in the news lately with talks of separation from Canada. I always talk about how beautiful Canada is and this video shows what I am talking about.

Travel Alberta writes “Great places will always capture you, but Alberta will set you free. As we celebrate Alberta Day, we celebrate the people, the spirit and the character of this amazing place we call home.”

To Be an Albertan

ThinkerThunker writes “The day after I made a Zoom presentation to Mr Morehead (and bombed), I discovered a new video featuring what has to be the exact same species Ron encountered, making the exact same vocalizations, from a location 2,300 miles away and 40 years later. With both doing something no human could possibly do. This too is definitive proof that Forest Giants exist.”

Footage reportedly shot at an undisclosed Chinese factory appears to show a robot violently “lashing out” at workers in a clip that’s since gone viral. The security camera video shows a robot, which resembles a Unitree H1, initially sitting dormant as it hangs from a crane-like mechanism.

Two men are seen conversing in its vicinity. Suddenly, the robot begins flailing its limbs around as the men attempt to get out of its way. It appears to knock a computer monitor, among other objects, to the floor during its rampage.

One man eventually gets hold of the crane from which the unruly robot was hanging in an attempt to restrain it. One video of the incident garnered 12 million views on X in a post dubiously billing it “the first robot rebellion in human history.” With official details on the incident remaining scant, its cause is still unclear.

OWNSEND, Tenn. (WVLT) – A festival dedicated to the mysterious being known as Bigfoot brought vendors, researchers and a lot of believers out to Townsend on Saturday to enjoy the day.

“It’s just a lot of fun no matter. Whether you think it’s silly or you or you take it seriously like I do, there’s something for everybody,” festival founder Brian Johnston said.

The festival is held in the Smoky Mountains and has been held every year since 2021.

Johnston said this is the perfect place to hold the festival.

“It got started just because we had an interest in Bigfoot, and we thought this would be something that the community could gather around,” Johnston said. ”It’s something that we think is indigenous to the Smoky Mountains. Townsend is really for us, the gateway to the Smokies. I mean, we are the most entered side of the park; this is the perfect place to have it.”

One researcher, Harley Owens, said his goal for the day was to share his findings and speak with people who share his thoughts when it comes to sasquatch.

“It’s incredible, just the amount of people that have come by so far to see me, and it’s just the overwhelming support. That’s what the Bigfoot community is, like people support each other, and it’s not to be taken lightly because we are firm in what we do,” Owens said.

People were able to share their own experience with Bigfoot that has made them a believer.

To them, this festival is a chance to be around others who went through a similar thing.

“It’s very awesome to just have people that believe the same things and to have similar stories, similar interests and even people who are out here just like they’re skeptics and just want to have fun, you know, and then come, go home, believe in Bigfoot then,” one festival goer said.

Owens said his belief in Bigfoot has meant so much to him and has changed his life.

“I was a skeptic and nonbeliever in this stuff until I encountered my first one in 2020, and it shattered everything I knew about the world,” Owens said. “Now being a researcher and helping people open their minds and share their stories, it’s just it’s so huge for me. I don’t take it for granted one bit.”

The Confessionals writes “In episode 754: The NDE Conspiracy, Tony is joined by Shaun Tabatt, author of The NDE Conspiracy, for a deep-dive into the strange, murky realm of near-death experiences—and the sinister deceptions hiding behind the light. What begins as a discussion about NDEs quickly spirals into a multi-layered exposé on spiritual hijacking, second-heaven warfare, and false encounters with “beings of light” that mask a demonic agenda. From children recalling past lives to mediums unknowingly channeling familiar spirits, Shaun reveals how the enemy counterfeits heavenly encounters in order to detour souls into New Age delusion.

But this isn’t just theory—it’s grounded in documented cases, verified out-of-body perceptions, and firsthand accounts of people who died, met their “spirit guide,” and came back with dark, twisted theology. Tony and Shaun connect dots between NDEs, alien abductions, soul-trapping tech, and biblical portals in the second heaven—suggesting that the real battle for our souls may not start after death, but in the space between. In a realm full of lies that look like light, this episode is a reminder that discernment matters—and that truth still breaks through the counterfeit.”

A listener writes “Good morning Wes was going into work around am his morning (after 2 hrs of driving) I work in a pine forest the last 4 weeks odd I have had an uneasy feeling like I’m being watched while unlocking gates to get into my job site first it was super quite apparent from the occasional logging truck coming down the main road next to my gate even with the traffic I see rabbits and deer regularly but this week seen very little.

Well this morning I was driving down the main road (was very little traffic) up ahead I saw something in a ditch about 400 meters away just out of my lights beam could only see it with the ambiance light coming from my truck as I got closer it turned its body just enough to get eye shine not both eyes though so I couldn’t judge the size of the head . The ditch is about 3 foot deep and it’s head was about 3 to 4 foot higher then the top of the ditch as I got to about 200 odd meters away it bolted down to the river.

I have never seen something that big. We don’t have bears here or anything that I could mistake. It for it definitely wasn’t a deer wasn’t the right shape and wrong coat type like not shot like a deer’s this isn’t the first time I have reached out but this is my most recent encounter, I have had 2 total sightings.”

Wildman of the Woods writes “In this chilling free Bigfoot documentary, Wildman of the Woods brings you face-to-face with new Bigfoot evidence from the remote wilderness of East Texas. Join legendary Bigfoot investigator Jerry Mills and Catherine Howell of the Twin Rivers Wolf and Wolfdog Sanctuary as they uncover terrifying signs of Sasquatch activity in the heart of Grimes County.

When strange vocalizations echo through the forest and massive three-toed footprints are discovered near wolf enclosures, the line between myth and reality begins to blur. Hair samples, howling responses, and unexplainable disturbances at night point to a powerful and intelligent cryptid lurking in the woods. Could it be Bigfoot? Or something even stranger?

From unnerving howls to strange footprints resembling those of the Honey Island Swamp Monster and the Fouke Monster, this documentary explores the theory that multiple cryptids may be converging in one of Texas’s wildest places.”

The “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast was a dramatic adaptation of H.G. Wells’ 1898 science fiction novel, aired by Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre on the Air on October 30, 1938. The story is about a Martian invasion of Earth, and Welles’ broadcast presented it as a series of real-time news bulletins, which made it sound like an actual emergency.

The broadcast begins with normal music programming, which is interrupted by increasingly alarming news reports. The reports describe Martians landing in Grover’s Mill, New Jersey, attacking humans with heat rays and poisonous gas, and devastating cities.

Though the program stated at the beginning (and a few times during) that it was fiction, many listeners tuned in after the disclaimer and mistook it for real news.

Some listeners panicked, believing that an actual alien invasion was underway. Reports from the time describe people fleeing homes, clogging highways, or calling police and newspapers. In some towns, people packed churches or tried to evacuate.

However, later research suggests the panic may have been exaggerated by the media. Newspapers, in particular, may have played it up to undermine the credibility of radio, a rising competitor in news delivery.

A listener writes “In the late summer of 2013 I was driving north on I-79 in West Virginia. It was late in the day and I was the only car on the stretch of road I was on. It was still full daylight, but the sun had dropped behind the mountains and trees to the west of me.

I came around a curve in the road and came to a straight section that was probably over a mile long. The southbound lanes were separated from the northbound by a patch of trees that was probably 70 feet wide. About half a mile in front of me something very large – At least 8 feet tall – all dark brown or black, ran out of the woods to the right of the highway, ran across the road in three or four huge strides and into the trees in the median.

If I had had a dash cam I’d have one of the best clips anyone could ever have – it was in the open for at least 50 feet from tree line to tree line. I wasn’t frightened at all, I was just like “holy f@&$!” However, I did speed past those trees where it went in at about 120 mph. Pretty funny.

I’ve only ever told one person about it. If it wasn’t a sasquatch I have no idea what it could have been.”

A listener writes “I wanted to share something that happened to me back in 1984 when I was 12. Every June, our family would camp at Alder Creek in Central California, and my uncle’s family usually joined us. My cousins, Gary and Scott, and I would always head to a swimming hole on the creek. My dad was pretty clear that I needed to stay with Gary and not wander off.

Well, after swimming for a bit, I decided to get out and dry off on a rock. As I was lying there, I started hearing a rabbit screaming from up the trail. We used to trap rabbits on my uncle’s farm, so I knew that sound. I told Gary I’d be right back and took off up the trail. Probably about a quarter of a mile up, a large pine tree had fallen across the path. I climbed over it and looked around. I saw something moving in a clearing ahead, which seemed to be where the screaming was coming from, so I jumped down and walked towards it. In the clearing, there was some tall grass and an old log. On the far side of the log, I could see something reddish-brown moving and bumping into it. My first thought was that it was a bear because the whole log would shake when it moved. This log was huge, probably 40 feet long and 2-3 feet thick. Then, the rabbit’s scream suddenly stopped.

This thing stood up, and I froze. What I saw scared the hell out of me, Wes. I had never seen anything that big before. It was massive. If I remember correctly, its skin was a kind of dark grayish color. It didn’t have much hair around its eyes or on its chest and throat, but the hair on its arms seemed longer the closer it got to its hands. At least, that’s what I recall. But I definitely remember seeing that rabbit in its left hand. I don’t know how long I stood there looking at it, and it at me, but I snapped out of it when I heard a sound in the trees behind me. I thought it was my cousin, but when I turned around, there was nothing there. So, I turned back to look at the creature, but it had already walked across the clearing and was going into the tree line, heading down the embankment towards the creek.

Once it disappeared down the hill, I turned to run and realized I had pissed myself. Pretty embarrassing to admit, but it happened. Anyway, I started running back and tried to jump over that fallen tree, but I didn’t make it. I caught my right knee and shin on it and fell, tearing the skin from my knee down to my foot.I got up and took off. When I got back to the swimming hole, my cousins were gone. I knew my dad would be mad. I was so scared that while I was running, I missed the cutoff in the trail that would have taken me back to camp and ended up on a little hill overlooking it. I heard someone yell and saw my mom looking up at me, so I turned and ran down the hill without slowing down. About halfway down, I lost my balance and tumbled the rest of the way.

My dad came over and asked what was chasing me. I told him nothing, that I walked down the trail, and when I got back, Gary and Scott were gone, so I got scared and ran back. I also told him about the tree. They had seen me running and the blood and thought an animal had attacked me. Needless to say, I was grounded to camp for the rest of that day and all the next, but that was fine with me; I really didn’t want to be there anymore anyway.

I didn’t tell anyone what really happened because I was afraid of getting into more trouble or everyone making fun of me. But I do remember that night, my dad and uncle telling a story about when they were teenagers and lived in the Kings Canyon area. They were helping my grandpa fix fences on the ranch he worked for, and something in the tree line above them was throwing rocks at them all day and followed them. Then, my uncle, after having a few too many Coors, said he would wrestle Bigfoot if he ever saw one, and I was thinking, “I bet you wouldn’t, buddy.” Following up on my story about Alder Creek, something else pretty unsettling happened to me about ten years later. My family had moved to Oklahoma, and I joined them about a year after.

My dad took me to a really secluded fishing spot on Lake Eufaula. That was one of the things I initially liked about Oklahoma – back then, there weren’t many people in that area. I mean, the spot we went to was a 20-minute drive out of town on gravel roads, followed by another 20 minutes on a trail (not a road) that led to it. When we arrived, the sun was just above the tree line. It was an area where a creek ran into the lake, making it kind of narrow, maybe 60 yards across. But on the other side, it was just dense trees – I believe it was Corps of Engineers land, so no houses.

After we got everything set up for some night catfishing, we started hearing something tearing through the trees a good distance away. The sounds it was making were more like grunts and… well, it’s hard to explain. But we both agreed that whatever it was sounded really pissed off.

This thing was getting closer, and we could hear it slamming into trees and what sounded like tree limbs shattering. We’d been there maybe an hour before it got close enough for us to start seeing these big oak trees, maybe 25-30 feet tall, shaking violently every time it hit them. My dad decided he’d had enough and started reeling in his line, so I did too. As we were putting everything into the Bronco, the thing let out a yell/roar that was so powerful we felt it vibrate in our chests. I turned around to fold up my chair, and I saw the thing standing on top of the bank, looking in our direction. The bank was along the creek, maybe 10 feet above the water, and I tell you, this thing had to be 7-8 feet tall. It didn’t look as bulky as the first one I saw; it had more of an athletic build, if that makes sense. And its face looked more monstrous than the other one. It might have just been the way the shadows fell on it.

My dad was already in the Bronco. So, I threw the rest of the stuff in, and then I heard a sound coming through the trees across the lake. When I looked, I saw a log, maybe 15-20 feet long and about 12 inches in diameter, come flying out over the lake and crash into it. The sound was so loud it startled my dad, and he yelled, “What the hell was that?!” But I didn’t answer; I just got in and we got the hell out of there.

On the way home, I finally told him what happened when we were camping all those years ago. He said he knew something was wrong by the way I looked when I was running back to camp. Looking back on both of those times, Wes, they really sparked a curiosity in me about what else might be out there that we don’t fully understand. For years, I didn’t talk about either of those experiences because, like I mentioned with the first one, I was worried about being ridiculed.

That’s why I really appreciate your podcast. It’s created a space where people like me feel like they can share what they’ve seen without that immediate fear of being laughed at. Hearing other people’s stories, sometimes even similar to mine in ways, has been incredibly validating. It’s made me realize I’m not alone in these strange encounters.”

Tonight I will be speaking Craig from Alberta, Canada. Craig had an experience over 10 years ago and in the last 5 years Craig has been searching for the creature. He has had many experiences that lead up to his sighting that was very recent. Craig said “I had a headlamp on and I turned around and it was right there.”

A listener writes “I’ve been listening to your podcast all week this week and as I was listening to episode 1150 I believe it was ,(the guy from Powell Butte). The episode got me thinking about a strange thing that happened to be when I was in 5th grade.

I was staying the weekend my with buddy, who at the time lived at the campground. It was the end of school, early 2000s. There was relatively no one at the campground yet. So we were having a sleep over and his parents were in the 5th wheel toward the front of the campground, we decided to set up a tent toward the back of the campground. Now to set up this camp ground it’s not far off of Hwy 97 in Culver, OR.

There’s just a few trees on the ground and behind the ground it’s a huge open field that butts up to an irrigation canal and beyond that is a treeless hill with some rock formation (this is important later…. I think), and next to the campground is a couple houses and barns with livestock. We sat up our tent and spent the night in the back of the campground with no one around, and throughout the night we kept hearing things rustling around the tent squirrels, raccoons, & chipmunks. We didn’t think anything of it. Now the next morning we got up relatively early and decided to go run around the back open field. It was an overcast cloudy day like it was about to rain. As we were playing we both noticed how quiet it was, which was weird being next to these homes with horses and cow, etc. We looked around and noticed not a single animal was out of their barns, not super weird just a little odd given the area.

So we decided to walk back to the canal and check it out. Now this canal had a dirt road that you could drive a small truck or ATV etc down it. We started walking along and we came to a spot on this road where it was wet. I mean soaked, which was odd. The closer we looked we noticed that on the side of this canal there were talks reeds/grass a long the bank and there were 2 impressions in the grass about 3+ ft apart, and as we looked more right across from those impressions were 2 more on the opposite bank. Now these canal have fast moving water through them and are usually waist deep depending on the area. Now back to the water marks. The only way to describe it is that it looked like something had walked through the water and into the road.

I thought it may be someone on an ATV running through there, but the ground was too wet that we would of heard someone driving around out there, and there were no signs of tracks. The water path made a half moon shape and went back into the canal, where there were 2 more sets of imprints on both banks. The whole track looked like something had walked through the canal out into the road and then back through to the canal.

Now these impressions were almost straight across from each other in the banks, if it would of been a person or the current would of been strong enough that the impressions would be offset, these weren’t. After about 10-15 minutes of just looking around we started to notice all the animals had started coming out of the barns and moving back out into their pasture. ( There were no signs of people to let them out, plus they had open barns.) We had binoculars with us so we looked around toward the hill up there and there was this one rock formation that resembled a cave entrance, now idk if it was a cave or just resembled it. The whole situation was just odd. I’m not really sure what cause the tracks and the impressions on the tall grass, but whatever it was had to be big and heavy to leave them. I’m not sure what to make of it, but I just thought I’d share it with you.”

I will be speaking to Author Justin McNeal about his new book The Bigfoot Paradox: Everything is a Lie, and Everything is True.

Summary of the book

You’ll journey through hoaxes, government cover-ups, scientific anomalies, and eerie encounters that will make you question every “fact” you’ve ever heard about the legend of Bigfoot.

But this story doesn’t end with distant folklore. The author himself has ventured deep into the unknown, surviving a harrowing encounter with beasts as legendary as Bigfoot himself—a near-fatal experience that left him forever changed. Step into his world, where personal brushes with terror, close calls, and whispered secrets reveal a side of cryptids you’ve never seen before.

This book doesn’t ask if Bigfoot exists. It dares you to decide for yourself.

Delve into the unknown, the mysterious, and the truth that will leave you speechless.
Prepare to question everything you thought you knew: Are the hunters actually the hunted?”

Discover the real reason no bodies are ever found… or is that just another lie?”

From ancient legends to modern cover-ups, has the truth about Bigfoot been hiding in plain sight?”

The Bighorn Dam incident of 1969 is considered one of the most active and important years in the history of sasquatch research. Sasquatch scholar and researcher John Green wrote a book about all the actions that took place in 1969, aptly titled The Year of Sasquatch.

That year was one of Alberta’s most famous resorts in 1969, work began on the present-day Bighorn Dam near the town of Nordegg in western Alberta.

The Incident

On August 24th, five men witnessed an event known as the Bighorn Dam Incident in Alberta, Canada. Harley Peterson and Guy L’Heureux were laying the foundation for a pump at a construction site. It was a black shadow, standing upright, and seemed to be watching what was happening below.

The huge figure stood there for about 30 minutes, then sat there for about 10 minutes, and by that time, the audience had grown from two to five. Stan Peterson, Floyd Engen, and Dale Boddy also observed this number during this time. The number then rises for about 15 minutes before disappearing up the mountainside and into the trees.

Two of the five men decided to climb the hillside to see if they could find any footprints, and the other three men were asked to estimate the height of the figure already there. What the men on the ground later realized was that the person standing there was no ordinary human being. Comparing the heights of the two men to the trees behind them, the man on the ground estimated that he was at least 12 feet, if not closer to 15 feet.

This is certainly one of the largest Sasquatch ever reported in North America. Before this report, many other incidents involving Native Americans living in the area above the dam and creatures known as Sasquatch were reported.

A man named George Harris, who lived in Nordegg at the time of these events, photographed two footprints believed to have been found by the First Nations in the area, one set 17 inches long and 13 inches in length. One day, another young Native American of his was cutting firewood, and soon after footprints were found, he realized he was not alone. He notices Sasquatch watching him from the edge of the tree and continued chopping wood by himself.

A young First Nation woman said at the time she and her three other elderly women appeared to have seen her four creatures on the mountainside near where she was walking. Two of hers crouched down as if they had grabbed something and the other two of hers were walking nearby and said they were about the size of a fairly large fir tree.
