Bigfoot sighting in Seattle: Sasquatch Mountain ride at Miner’s Landing

KOMO News writes “Sasquatch sightings are on the rise in Seattle, thanks to an immersive new ride at Miner’s Landing on Pier 57.

The new Sasquatch Mountain ride combines the legend of Bigfoot with cutting-edge technology. The virtual reality adventure drops guests into the Pacific Northwest wilderness, complete with a full sensory experience.

“We’re very excited to have Sasquatch Mountain here, because it is the first type of experience like this in the world,” said Miner’s Landing team member Rachelle Navarro. “The team of people worked extremely hard on this for two years. And some of the guys that have worked on Sasquatch have worked on rides in Universal parks, Nintendo World and Disney… It’s a totally immersive experience with sight, sound, smell.”

Early visitors on the ride say the tech and special effects feel a lot more realistic than virtual. Riders told Seattle Refined, “The drops felt real — like a rollercoaster, even though it’s VR.”
