I would pay good money to spend a weekend on this farm. They have, I believe an oil substance on their hands and fingers. One tapped on my window late Nov. of 2013 on a brutally cold hard frost night. The fingerprint that was at least 3 times the size of mine remained in place for over 4 years before it finally faded out. A track was found the next morning that was 16 inches by 7 inches, thus a fairly big one.
Often, maybe mostly, the house slapping and tapping on windows is a game for them, I believe. They can get close to humans with no fear of being observed at night. A sense of humor indeed. I wonder what they think a game camera is?
