Bigfoot Filmed In Da Blues

Blayne Tyler writes “We went twenty six years before we seen any footage like the PGF. So why is Paul Freeman not remembered in almost the same fashion as Roger Patterson for his contribution. He also had print casts to confirm his footage. Where are the Paul Freeman Conferences & tributes. Me 1st generation politics forgotten him.”

(New Jersey) A agree 1000% !! This is an EXCELLENT post by Blayne, and right on the money. Paul Freeman has long been a hero to me in the Bigfoot world. I may be mistaken, but I think his untimely passing may be the reason for him not getting the attention he so rightly deserves. Still, I truly hope someone does a movie or book about this fascinating man. Much like Bob Gimlin, he was the recipient of much disdain and criticism . Why? For simply being a decent man who stuck to his guns. Like Bob, he was hurt by the condemnation he received, but would not let it define him and his experiences. He responded by moving his family from their home. He also lost his job. Yet he would Not be shaken in his beliefs and what he was doing. Ten years of research – by being in the woods almost Daily, paid off with some remarkable footage, which coincidentally was almost as brief as Patterson-Gimlin. However, as Blayne so rightly points out, is just as Important! I believe Paul had at least one son and a daughter. I hope they, or someone interested in this amazing mystery of Bigfoot, would pay tribute to this Great Man in a book or movie.

Glen K(NJ): Nice comments! You and Blayne are ?% right. Where is the information about Paul Freeman. I think Bob Gimlin is not only a standup guy, a real cowboy, but he’s alive and can tell us what truly happen. I’m a big fan of Bob Gimlin and the late Paul Freeman and we need to cheeriest both! As with others like J.C. Johnson, Dr. John Bindernagle and Patterson himself. They all put Bigfoot ahead of themselves. True pioneers of Bigfoot research! I follow Blayne and he’s a very dedicated researcher too.

Glen said “..was hurt by the condemnation he received.” Who or what do people think they are? Why are human being so cruel? I’ve never really heard about this man, but have only been looking into BF for a few years.

Glen you did the gentleman well. I do know Dr. Meldrum had much respect for Paul. If I remember correctly Paul faked one cast in order to show the difference between a fake and an authentic cast . Some used this as evidence everything was faked.

I was always very impressed by mr. Freeman’s footage and equally stunned and annoyed with the way people treated him and made up stories that portrayed him as a hoaxer. I don’t know any better than anybody else on his evidence but can only go with my gut and start with giving him the benefit of the doubt. He seemed like a decent person who was ridiculed and put through the wringer by the “wonderful“ Bigfoot community! Thanks for bringing attention to his work.
