About 35years ago I met a fisherman in Kodiak who maintained that Tommyknockers lived in the rigging on the masts of fishing boats. To appease them, he would always leave a shot of whiskey on the galley table each night. He maintained that if he didn’t do this they would cause trouble on the boat and things would breakdown or the simplest things would mess up. Keep the Tommyknockers happy with a little shot.
