BEAST TV – The Fouke Monster With Keith Crabtree

In Arkansas folklore, the Fouke Monster is said to have been seen in Fouke in Miller County, Arkansas, during the early 1970s. The creature was accused of attacking a local family. Initial sightings of the creature were concentrated in the Jonesville/Boggy Creek area, where it was blamed for the destruction of local livestock. Later, sightings were reported several hundred miles to the north and the east of Fouke. The monster may initially have been created when misidentified bears were seen and some of the purported tracks may have been forged.

Keith Crabtree, one of three men who portrayed the monster in the movie, said seeing it brought memories of family members who were in the movie but have since died.

That was outstanding. As much as I enjoyed listening to the incite only Mr. Crabtree could bring from his his personal experiences and knowledge of both the area and life out there with Uncle Smokey. I was left with a both a thought and question, I’m working out of the country and couldn’t get a good enough signal for the live feed here to ask it, but the cattle destruction mentioned in both the intro to this session and of course the movie I would have liked to hear more of what it was and what was the time line of it. Last, was the thought of how much encroachment to the Bigfoot stomping ground has really been made? Between the where the bishops bought up and cleared out to the the park with its heavier trafficked development ?
