Andrew Benoit does a lot of the really cool artwork you see on the site. I really liked this one. I think I might frame this one.
Andrew writes “I’ve been catching up on missed episodes and just listened to the Remembering John Bindernagel episode and came up with this picture by adjusting an online image of him, a background and a drawing of mine.
In doing this image, I envisioned a sasquatch secretly watching him for over 40 years, beginning when the young sasquatch had deep auburn—brown hair and the young PhD biologist had dark, curly hair.
Both have grown old together in a sense, and although both have grayed and aged, there is no mistaking the inquisitive, vibrant, youthful energy In the eyes of the life long researcher. And finally, after 40 years of watching him, the elder forest giant steps out of the shadows and reveals himself.”

That’s beautiful. It expresses the subject and the sunny man that Dr. Bindernagel was. Thanks Wes. 🙂
