Alaska police probe if human remains tied to missing family

I want to thank Donna for sending this to me. I think it is important to keep an eye on these missing people as part of the mystery around Sasquatch.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Authorities are investigating human remains discovered along an Alaska trail less than 2 miles from the home of a missing family of four, including two young children.

The remains might be connected to the disappearance last May of Rebecca Adams, 23; her boyfriend, Brandon Jividen, 38; and her children, Michelle Hundley, 6, and Jaracca Hundley, 3, Kenai police said Sunday.

Police, with help from the FBI, led a massive search when the family went missing, but it failed to uncover any clues.

At the time, relatives said it appeared the family had left without packing. Their two vehicles were parked outside their apartment and their rent for June had not been paid.

A person driving down a west Kenai trail spotted clothing and what appeared to be human remains Saturday, police said in a statement.

Responding officers found remains and items reported missing from the family’s home. The four were last seen May 27. The family dog also disappeared.

Police said it would take time to positively identify the remains and complete the investigation.

FBI officials Sunday were traveling to Kenai. The department plans a briefing on the case at noon on Monday.

Kenai is a city of 7,100 about 65 miles southwest of Anchorage at the mouth of the Kenai River, Alaska’s most popular sport fishing attraction.

Hmmm, sad for the family…..On the topic of Alaska and Sasquatch I watched an episode of Alaska State Trooper late last year and some fishermen found and secured a “Human leg” the trooper obtained the leg and it was bone but tendon was still connecting the hip joint to the leg. This leg seemed long and big , the trooper took the leg to a medical person for identification and the person in charge made the comment that this cant be a normal sized person and showed that this person had to be close to 7′ tall and the assistant agreed . The trooper left with the leg for evidence collection. I wish I had paid greater attention to the show as later I thought what if this was a young adult squatch who succumbed to drowning or something ……..Worth a look I would think I will keep an eye out for reruns as that is one of the few shows I sit and watch , the other being Finding Bigfoot….NOT!

I wonder if they were expected to go somewhere. It seems that is the case, unfortunately not enough information. The other article had the dog gone too! I wish we knew if this family was known to have unsavory associations with bad folks. Very sad…

It mentioned things were taken from home. I would assume if it were BF the home would be possibly trashed in some way. So many people missing , if it happened in the house you’d think there would be some bizarre evidence left behind if it was BF. Probably a drugged out ex con who already did time for murder or armed robbery. The woods are filled with them.

Can’t imagine bf coming in and taking stuff. Agree, if bf went postal inside there would be a mess. I wonder if they could have gone out for a walk and been attacked outside.

Last summer, in the area where i live, There were two cases of middle aged men disappearing on the blue ridge parkway. According to the BFRO, Sasquatch sightings have occurred in this area. I have never had a sighting there, but that does not mean anything.

Paris A, would you mind sharing what part of the parkway you live at. I was on episode 78 with Wes. I live about a mile away from the parkway in SW Roanoke County. I first saw on in 2011 and I just had a possible home visit just 2 dsys ago. They are around here in Roanoke, VA

Well, I guess when the forums do not say things that fit the site owner’s agenda or call the site owner’s STORY into question, said site owner has to delete them till things quiet down. God forbid anyone question the veracity of a STORY right?

You know man ive noticed the passed few days youve been on here dogging wes and woodies story intellectually as possible telling people they dont got no class talking will up when you dont even know the background to why he left. What are you doing here if you have such a problem with the owners of this site. Do you enjoy trolling this site? Because to me that shows you are the one with no class. I know you got better things to do so for the sake of all of us who respect and appreciate the owners of this site and podcast please stop man show some class yourself if you dont like it dont listen cause I for one dont care how much wes makes off this show its non of my buisness or yours so sit back listen n enjoy the show if you dont like it or have a problem with the owners go elsewhere please. Thank you sir have a good day

I’d make a Squatch your last suspect on this one. Snatching a whole family plus the dog? I think they need to find the boyfriend. If his remains turn up and it looked like fowl play, then we can move to the next down the list. Squatches being at the bottom.

    • Bruce M

I agree here that Squatches are probably not the culprit. It would be strange to go for a walk with your stuff and unlikely a wild animal kills a whole group and takes things from the house without taring the house up.

I think that one of these days, maybe David Paulides could be a guest on your guys show. I honestly believe thst both you guys and David have two puzzle pieces of the bigger picture here. There seems to be an all around lack of government cooperation, to say the least, in what you guys are both working on. I think possibly working together could be an overall benefit

David Paulidies also wrote a great book on Bigfoot’s too! Your right Tyler D, he would be a great speaker because not only can he talk about the subject of his series of Missing 411 books but also about his two books on Bigfoot, I believe it was two if you include his book on the “Hoopa Project”. Great idea but just him and not a lot of other big names cause the best stories seem to come from the regular folks!!

It does not ring of a Sasquatch attack to me, but not enough known. Puzzling is there was a massive search last May and they were just found only 2 miles from their home. How can that be. Were they taken, killed, then brought back close to home? Answers soon maybe.

I don’t know. Sasquatch seems like the kind of animal capable of hating people in general for what we are always doing to their land, cutting down trees and putting up houses or worse. The accounts of people besieged by bigfoot, all their animals killed off one by one, suggest a beast that can hold a grudge. I don’t think we can rule out bigfoot out of principle, but I’d like to know exactly what was taken from the home, and if the home was trashed or not.

Here’s the link to the ENTIRE story. Notice the omissions about the firearm found at the scene and possible distress the 23 year old mother of two relayed to her sister prior to the disappearance in the omission ridden story posted above. Omissions obviously used to make this seem as if it has something to do with Sasquatch and posted on the site as ‘filler’ content, when in fact, it’s nothing of the sort. Don’t drink the kool-aid and believe so quickly folks……..Those of you calling foul play hit the nail on the head.

“But Lanell Adams said she spoke with her sister, Rebecca, around May 27, according to CNN affiliate KTUU.

“She sounded distressed,” Lanell Adams said of the phone call. “She had to get off the phone quickly, she couldn’t tell me what was wrong. She told me that she just wanted me to know that she loves me. And I haven’t heard from her since.”

Be carefull this site does’nt get the Thinker Thunker syndrom, where all of there sudden everthing is a bigfoot or caused by one!
This story is foolish bringing here and to me, it seems like its just used to fill up this site, so members have something coming here fore!

I prefer quality over quantity any day!

    Thx

Itis not that far far fetched. The recent film in the Russians wilderness of big foot from thr kids, confirms many other sightings as well as a whole expedition that was wiped out around 1958 .
Even their letters stated the Almasti is real and a authenticated picture was snapped before they died crushed head, chest, tongue ripped out and blunt force trauma scattered for over a mile
With No man that powerfull enough to do this .in the vast wilderness. In the U.S the 1,000s thst ho missing in the woods .these creatures can and do abduct. The parks dept snd FBI know much more then they will tell you .there is special units regarding the above. I donot know any more then that to be that of the truth. Per sq mile the Ohio basin and great smokey mountain national park -TN.,NC have the largest concentrations east of the Mississippi.

I went to high school in Anchorage and often hunted and fished in Kenai Penninsula. That place is loaded with bear. It has both brown/grizzly and black bear. Both species in Alaska will kill and eat you. I have gone after a black bear that attacked two German college students visiting Alaska on the trail to Upper Russian Lake for fun carrying my .338 winchester. A man and his mother-in-law runnning in preparation for a marathon where each killed separately by one Brown Bear defending a moose kill just outside of Anchorage several years ago. That bear was never found and might still be out there. 20 mile creek near Anchorage had stories of a bigfoot type animal. Another town near Homer Alaska called Portlock was supposidly closed down when a bigfoot terrorized that cannery village. Point is in Alaska bears also kill several together. More than likely a bear or murder by a human in this instance I think.
