A look at the Patterson Gimlin Film

The YouTuber writes “In this video, I try to compare the 1967 Patterson Gimlin footage to some footage of my own. Please comment your opinions on what you think about my 2016 costume vs. patty.”

Thanks for all the work you went to make your film. It’s just the main thing you notice about Patti is her size and that just can’t be duplicated. As Darrell said, I can’t disagree with a word you said.

I’m a true believer in the Sasquatch species, but I still can’t get myself to believe that Patty is a real Sasquatch.

Over the years, people have taken this film and added detail, color, and definition to make it look more authentic. The speed of the film has been tweaked as well. Even after all of the work they’ve done, I can’t get over how fake Patty’s butt appears (it’s a big lump with no movement or muscle definition).

Since Wes had a really long, up close look at multiple Sasquatch, he should be able to say without a doubt that Patty is real or not.

The you tuber’s stride does not look natural, Patty does. Your steps though long probably were not 42 to 48 inches in stride length as Patty’s were. Also your steps put your impact of foot as a human is that is side by side. Patty as all Bigfoots do place their steps in a straight line. Your legs came up only to the classic 51 degree angle where Patty’s were in the 73 degree range. It is when a human try’s to do an exact replication of a bigfoot walk that the differences are enormous. I am athletic and trying to emulate a true bigfoot walk is extremely difficult and so unnatural for us.

Another part of the Patty walk that is never talked about is the speed in which she walks. From personal information I got from Bob Gimlin he told me in the whole sequence she traveled 200 yards in a time span of 59 seconds. That is from the time they saw here until the final frame of filming. Simple math places her average speed at a little over 7 mph. Humans can not walk 7 mph, except the Olympic walkers in which their walk looks more like a clumsy run with hips swaying all over the place. Just google an olympic walker and you will see. For myself at 6 foot tall at 4mph I am at a very hurried pace, 5mph is a jog, and 7 mph is a run. Yet she looks so natural and just floats across the screen. Also no head bob.

Patty’s muscles flex with every movement, something no costume designer as been able to achieve to date – yet the skeptards say that Rodeo riders and horse trainers made the best costume ever back in 1967. Give me a break.

I would suggest everyone with a serious interest in the Bigfoot go and read the long and detailed report by Bill Munns – a Hollywood Costume maker who has a long resume of Film Projects.

Hello, I wonder how many more people are going to fail at reproducING patty? What’s even worse is when people point to these obvious fails as proof that patty is a guy in a suit. Bob

What’s the horizontal line on Patty’s thigh? I looked at many videos and pictures of bodybuilders, and I’ve never seen anything like that.

The pro Patterson Gimlin film are taking about muscle definition and whatnot. LMAO!

How come her breast doesn’t seem to shake at all when she’s walking? Looks fake too.
